Episode Five
Welcome to the fifth State of the Spoiling for the eleventh season of Survivor. First, I would like to remind everybody of the Community Guidelines and the Spoiler Guidelines. These guidelines are here for a reason – to make the place more friendly and fun and more organized. And don’t forget to vote!
Ok, so what happened last week? Well, another girl, Brooke, was voted off after a quick tribe shuffle. You can read the details in last week’s East Coast Update thread. Or better yet, read the funny Official Summary.
So we have this week to worry about now, eh? Ok, so the name of this week’s summary is “Crocs, Cowboys and City Slickers.” The ambiguity of the title is leading to a few names for Cowboys - Gary, Blake, Brandon & BJ, and City Slickers – Danni, Judd, and Brian. It sounds like this could be a quote from Amy. It is hard to tell, but it isn’t saying anything about a boot.
Ok, so the title gave little info, but the promo vidcaps, web promo vidcaps, and SeeBS Misdirection are providing some more information. Judd has some answering to do for his vote against Brooke. Lydia is going to be silly and supper grace is going to annoy Brian. Through some sleuthing, Bobby Jon seems to be cheering at the end of a challenge – a reward challenge. Unfortunately, we don’t seem to have a very clear answer here of what will be happening.
Usually, we have next week’s title, and this week is no different. The name of Episode 6 is “Big Ball, Big Mouth, Big Trouble.” We have a picture of four women, Amy, Danni, Cindy, and Stephenie, pushing a giant ball. So this at least narrows down who won’t be going home in Episode 5. Episode 6 should also be a double boot episode.
So we’ve eliminated four people from getting the boot. Would you like another name? Brian seems to be safe because he is supposed to be this season’s villain, and to be the villain, he needs at least a couple more episodes. If these eliminations aren’t enough, you could check out the Episode Five Boot Options thread to see the likely overall chances of certain players getting the boot.
So what else can be said? The ever-growing The Players, The Game, The Editing; Survivor Guatemala thread has been updated for Episode 4 and has some great analysis. The Signs of Survival thread has evolved into a second thread and is an interesting read. And where does the opening credits fall into the whole scheme of spoiling? Well, there seems to be categories of shots in the opening credits and it could mean good news Yaxha players because their flag was not burning.
So that concludes this week’s SOTS. To all the other Canucks here, don’t eat too much leftover turkey. And to everybody else, don’t eat too many Halloween candies.
Trick or treat. Smell my feet.
