'Rumblings of a Lawsuit'
Jeff Varner reports for TV Guide an update on the Susan-Richard incident (warning: spoiler)
SNN
Wednesday, March 3, 2004

Last week Jeff Varner broke the story about a nude Richard Hatch physically contacting Susan Hawk, sparking a controversy in which Sue threatens legal action in a future episode. CBS was also reportedly concerned about how to edit the incident, given the FCC decency regulations, and coming on the heels of the Superbowl Half Time Show's Justin-Janet spectacle.

Today, Jeff gave an updated report for TV Guide Channel. He claims that Sue will quit in the upcoming episode.

He also repeated that there are still "rumblings of a lawsuit" by Susan, but that her anger is directed more towards the producers than Richard.

Vacation in Argentina? No thanks!

ColleenLover first reported on Survivor Sucks that Tina Wesson, Rudy Boesch, and Rob Cesternino were spotted in Patagonia, Argentina, during or near the end of filming of Survivor All: Stars. SNN also learned that Richard Hatch, along with those three, left Loser's Lodge around November 21st, presumably to head out for their group vacation. (The other eliminated contestant, 3rd out Jenna Morasca, quit the game to return to the United States and see her dying mother).

But we were also told that Susan Hawk, after quitting the game, reportedly disappeared from Loser's Lodge a day earlier, around November 20th, to an undisclosed location. Perhaps she was not in the mood to party with King Richard.

Following the departure of Susan, and then the Patagonia-bound foursome, pre-jury booted contestants continued to pile up at Loser's Lodge, until they departed themselves for a separate group trip.

Lawsuit Shmawsuit?

According to a knowledgeable SNN source, no legal complaint has yet been filed at the time of this writing, at least in Los Angeles court.
