LAST EDITED ON 07-16-03 AT 06:07 PM (EST)I haven't been paying close attention to this, but this article quotes a 14-year-old saying that she was in Panama City a week and a half ago when five people drowned due to Hurricane Claudette passing through. I don't know whether she meant Panama City, Panama or Panama City, Florida ... but what did Claudette do to the country of Panama? If Surivor: Pearl Islands started filming in Panama on June 23, as in bebekid's thread, and Hurricane Claudette moved through the area after that ... what hsppened to filming? This could make the flood in S2 look like small potatoes! Has anyone heard or read anything?

I thought about that hurrican, Ayak, but consider two things:1. the Pearls are on the other side of the Ismuth -- at most they got cloudy weather 2. the track was pretty far away from them, it vectored you Texas way
