I'm really getting ticked off at all the anti-survivorsucks and anti-survivorblows posting that's been going on. Especially on the sucks message boards. Really people, does it really have to be that personal with only two more weeks. Can't THEY understand that for some of us, this became the ONLY way to post. There are so many more fulfilling ways to relive junior high.

Okay, I just read a thread on the "Survivor Sucks" board. I think that people are misunderstanding that this MB software is not sole property of PlanetSucks.com. If they are worried about this site taking hits away from their site they shouldn't have closed registration and allowed everyone to use their board. I think by closing registration they gave it's members some sense that they were "special". This board kind of blows their whole 'secret society' illusion now that us 'rejects' have a place of our own to discuss Survivor.
I know I'll get totally flamed for this but what the hell.. I am just happy this site is here and I can discuss Survivor for the last two weeks of it's run.

post at sucks.i went to
yahoo clubs,but although
well-intentioned,it was
rather lame.
i'm not sure why sucks
stopped with new registers.
if it was to give their
members a feeling of
being part of some elite
group thats rather pathetic.Maybe they didn't
want to handle all the
traffic.
Anyway,if this site
keeps growing,I'm sure sucks will reconsider their position regarding
new registers.I'm hoping
that we will be able
to exceed suck in messages
posted by the time of
the final episode.Or is
that improbable??

I agree with most of you. We were not allowed into their exclusive club. I honestly don't know why they feel so theatened by another similar board. No site owns the internet. I was reading over there for awhile , and noticed the attitude completely changed once they stated voting people off. They formed their own alliances (sort of) and the flames got worse.
Another study of human nture?
I found this place because someone there posted about it. I checked over here, and decided I had found a home. Looked at SS today, and the ugly color of the site, made me long for home. There is room for us all, and finally the homeless have a home. But should this be on the spoiler board?

Well said Exotica... SS is a nice place, they just decided not to let many people live there. As we've said before, we're a fan of it (though we really haven't read it much since we launched SB last week) and there's no reason to bash them. They do their thing and we do ours...

Thank you all for backing me up. I placed it on the spoilers board without thinking. I apologize for that, but the spoilers board does seem to get read more often (at least by me) than others. And, I think I wanted to convey my appreciation for this site. I suppose one could argue that informing this board about comments in opposition to it on the sucks board could be considered a spoiler. I'm stretching it aren't I? Okay - please accept the apology.

The one thing that makes me feel strange about SurvivorBlows is the copyright at the bottom of the page. 1995-2000? Strangely enough, this is also the copyright for SurivorSucks. Why is that if their board was only started this year?They could at least change the copyright if they're going to use their software.

For the millionth time... we're not using SS.com's software. BOTH SITES use the same THIRD PARTY message board software, a system called DCScripts (www.dcscripts.com -- go ahead, check it out yourself)Nice catch on the copyright, but the real answer is much more boring... as we've said numerous times, this is not the first site upon which we've used this message board software, we've used it on many sites that we've built over the years. ...and we basically use the same basic starting template for all those sites, which contains a generic date period that covers from 1995 (when we started doing this). Sorry, no big mystery... we normally modify it as appropriate but seem to have missed it this time Now that you've pointed it out to us we'll try and correct it during the text couple of days, thanks
