I didn't cap every scene in this one (laziness sets in). The 3 scenes I didn't cap are: Just prior to cap #5, there's a shot of Vee and Kathy holding hands in the prayer (just a shot of their hands). Just after cap #5, when Neleh says they're grateful for each other, there's a brief flash of Rob with an evil smirk on his face. Just prior to cap #9, that's Zoe swinging the machete.   Top

"RE: Ep 7 Preview Vidcaps" I caught that smirk by Rob in the previews following the show... it reminded me of this topic http://community.realitytvworld.com/boards/DCForumID2/2261.shtml where the possibility for "religious tensions" is mentioned by Jeff Probst in a promotional radio interview. Perhaps the "bonding" between Ve and Neleh will spring up when each discovers that the other is deeply religious. Or Rob's smirk here after Neleh's part of the prayer could cause a ruckus between him and Sean/Neleh/Ve/possibly Paschal (and Kathy, the pseudo-spiritual).   Top

Now the question is why are they going to Rotu beach when Maraamu is clearly the better place to live when you weigh having a great food source and a nice beach vs having a waterfall and a rocky beach. "Possible MB change as well" LAST EDITED ON 04-05-02 AT 01:37 AM (EST) The merge camp being at Rotu could be one of MB's "new" things/twists for this season. He "randomly" chose a camp and Rotu won, so everyone goes to Rotu's camp. This takes away from people choosing which camp to go to and "tricking" everyone. Edited to add: Bungler, you are my hero. "too much sand" Looking at the campsite there appears to be too much sand on that beach for it to be the Rotu campsite. I thought their beach was rockier and smaller. It definitely COULD be their beach, but it could also be another site altogether. Just another POV to consider. I could be dead wrong though.   Top

Seems odd they wouldn't want all the fruit at Maraamu. But maybe the camp shelter and other things (like the waterfall) are better at Rotu camp. Plus John the leader probably doesn't want to go to a new camp where he won't know his way around. Purple buffs. I notice that the Maraamus are all sitting in among the new Rotu-3 during the prayer. The Rotu-4 Alliance are all together at one end. Can this mean anything? Will Rob, Sean and Vee try and bring the Maraamus to their side?   Top

"RE: Its AWWWNNNNNN " Neleah and Pachcal have the same problem as Gabe - they are unwilling, or not smart enough to form a solid alliance with anyone. Case in point, the night Gina was voted out, Kathy felt truly vulnerable. The reason she was vunlnerable is that N&P wouldn't allign with her officially. Nobody even talked about the impending vote in the clips we saw. I see this causing big problems for them both down the road. Neleah may just be too wishy washy to form a true alliance, and she'll end up taking Pachcal down with her. What do you guys think?   Top

Just wanted to point out the interesting seating pattern in Cap 5. You got the Rotu four all sitting together: John, Robert, Zoe and Tammy. And the Old Mu's alternately mixed with the New Mu's: Sean(OM)Kathy(NM)Vecepia(OM)Paschal(NM)Rob(OM)Neleh(NM) I don't know if that means ANYTHING, but I just found it very interesting.   Top

THis could mean that the Old ROtu are testing the loyality with their old and new tribe memebers. Also interesting that Kathy says Zoe is lying to me and then says they all are. Two things bring to mind on this, why is Zoe featured so much on lying? First Rob and then Kathy are they trying to set her up as a bad guy? ALso will this bring out the old pushy Kathy to cause her boot over Rob?? If they went to Rotu camp what where they allowed to bring? Remember S2 they had 5 minutes to gather their stuff. did they bring the knives, blankets, lanterns and maybe som fruit that was already picked???   Top

My thought is that it is right after the merge, and those 6 don't know each other yet so they are purposely sitting intermingled to force some socializing. The 4 old Rotu have now spent equal time with the other 6 (9 day with old Rotu, nine days with new Rotu) so probably feel they know everyone pretty well.   Top

"RE: Ep 7 Preview Vidcaps" It looks to me like it is Rotu's beach, first couple of shots look kind of rocky. And it also does appear that got to bring stuff with them. In #9, you see the Rotu cutting board that was taken during the raid, and in #16, you see Paschal's American Flag. Also just want to say thanks to Bungler for doing such a good job. I'm kind of new to this site but I can't seem to get enough. I've been trying not to screw up or make any mistakes -- if I do, I apologize now. It's so nice to be able to discuss the show without the distractions that take place on the other sites.   Top

In 4, Neleh is wearing different clothes, the buff is different and her hair is different that in 5 & 6. Kathy is wearing the same clothes in 6 that she arrives at the beach in. I think the Robert/Neleh pic is at a different time than the arrival.   Top

Kathy knows she would be the first target. What can she do to make herself more valuable? Decide to locate the merged tribe in the location with the least amount of food...Rotu Camp! The storyline focused on Kathy as "having a talent for finding food" and last week featured Tammy craving food before the RC. Kathy may be spared if they stay at Rotu and Kathy can continue to provide food for the tribe. It takes alot more food to feed 10... What does Rob have to contribute to the tribe? Krautboy   Top

"John blew the challenge" Don't forget, John blew the reward challenge for Rotu. Watching him and Robert trying to row that boat together was just painful. Robert was clearly pissed. And they really wanted that food! Then when they get back to camp, John passes the time by telling everyone why they're better off without the food? Give me a break! Rob has a really good chance to sway Robert to his side because of this. k/n/p are going to find out that John was behind Gabe being voted off. Even though they've had Gina in their ear, saying Rob's a jerk, I think they will vote for John to avenge Gabe. Can't wait till thursday to find out!!   Top
