OMG--this episode IS priceless! Dang Burn-it finally kept a promise.I knew the 3-tribe thing was not going to happen when they had Frank repeat his "we're two tribes, not one" thing. First tree mail, I knew the 3-3 swap was right. The RC they weren't supposed to have time for turned out to be the "big laughs" (how could Samburu NOT win that one? they had the Goatmeister on their side! LMAO) And as soon as I saw Clarence and Silas with their heads together, I knew Silas was probably outta there (with Clarence's head next on the block!) The Borans' assessment of the other tribe was too kewl--and I love that Frank and Teresa have another life. And although the merge isn't likely to happen on the usual schedule, I can't help but think it's already a fact--the rest of the GXA just don't know it yet. ROFLMAO! This actually was the most fun I've had so far--even though we were all out-thunk by our resident Idiot-Savant *winks at IC because the whole thing is just too goofy-stoopid*

(ie no merger in ep7).. then the jury is sure gonna be screwed up....(<7 to decide the winner may not be a good number)I doubt MB will change the merge episode. The way thing are looking I think the GenXers are in deep

The best thing to do would be to wait one more week before merging. This leaves nine people standing, which makes the jury and the final two.This gives them 12 days of bonding in their original tribes, and 9 days of bonding in the new, improved tribes. Assuming EPM has told them not to talk about the specifics of the events after the swap and after the merger, it would be easy to keep the lid on this secret. This would explain why Carl still thinks of Silas and Theresa as Samburu during his interview. Waiting one more week also explains the number of Diane's friends...

I thought about that....however if the merge were to occur on episode 8, then the tribes would merge unequal....however you try to permutate......
(ie. Post switch alliances...Pre-Switch alliance etc)
Totally deafeating the purpose of a switch.... from the looks of it Tom, Lex and Kelly (who have not a single vote) are staying as a Boran tribe....while Frank and Teresa have thrown their lot with the Borans.... either way (notwithstanding Individual ICs) the GenXers are screwed (perhaps another of MBs game-rigging tatics??) I would think that the merge would occur on ep7 (the usual) or ep9... however if the merge occurs on ep9 there would only be 5 ppl in the jury, which I feel is too little ppl to decide who wins a million $$$$$.........

when he hinted at the end of last night's episode after
Silas was voted out that our assumption about merger
in 3 days is wrong. Also, since MB has changed some of the rules about the game
with this 3-on-3 swap on the latest episode, what make you
think he will stick with the jury based solely on the post-
merger people? It's possible he could let some of the pre-
merger, post-swap people in on the jury too. Although, I don't
know how he can get that to work since the pre-merger, post-swap
players might not have a chance to interact with either of the
final 2 players, so how can those people vote for the winner?

First, will pat self on back for deciding when I first saw the TV Guide preview that Silas would be a shocking bootee...OK, enough kissing my own ass.In addition to Jiffy's comment about the assumption of a merge in 3 days, there was the discussion in the preview of running out of food IF they didn't merge in three days...either the contestants have been told that it's not a hard, fast rule that the merge occurs, or they're getting paranoid.

I'm new to the board - mostly i just lurk, but tonight i idiotically thought that cbs was airing the President, so i only turned cbs on at 8:30!  But anyway, could someone tell me who decided which 3 would leave each tribe? I heard something about a quest, but i thought it was really weird that Silas, Frank, and Theresa would be doing anything together. the 3 who switched over from each tribe didn't necessarily seem to be friends, so i'm confused. Thanks.

Samburu's still 3-3, so that bodes badly for Linseed, no? And Teresa's now had her face time? As for me, I'm left with the sole consolation that I've been saying since Sue's TV guide spoiler came out that the team challenges would be continued by one or two episodes. So I can only hope... O yeah, and that the twist would be funny... can't wait to watch it! I mentioned on my astrology thread that Ethan was of the paranoid Scorpio persuasion--worried that others are conspiring against him and Gemini-moon shy of committing, seems he's continuing along those lines. And please forgive me if I sound annoyed, but "Silas goes Bye Bye" was in the header of a post at 6:15 Pacific Time, which sort of erased all suspense for me and any other Left Coasters reading the board...
I read part of this thread and then stopped so I wouldn't know the bootee for sure.
No offense by anyone on this thread, but had to vent somewhere and didn't want to bump the spoiler. EDIT: Lightmage, the SAC was invented by dangerkitty, Goddess of Words, in her Ep4 summary on Bashers. It pings when Silas makes a Stupid Asinine Comment or was that a Silas Asinine Comment?
Hmmm, same thing really. And we all loved it and now only Supe gets to use it in another summary! <ping>
