Not sure about this evidence
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Either this is a April Fools Joke or this is true:
Check out this story from the wires....

This could just be true. Wouldn't this be amazing? Could Mike
be the actual winner? Would they vote him out right away as
a threat, or be scared to due to sympathy? I know the Kucha wouldn't
vote him out. This makes the voting out of Jerri a killer
mistake.

Might it be a mistake for the Kucha to have agreed to this (I presume
it was them and a couple of Ogakor) since how the Ogakor are more
likely to ally and vote out a Kucha to make sure they can vote out
Mike? I mean if Mike gets to the final 2 he seems a sure winner, but
then the Jury has 8. What are the tiebreaker rules?

--------------------------

NEW YORK, Sunday, April 1, 2001 (UPI) -- Several sources confirmed today
that Michael Skupin, the "Survivor" contestant who left the show during
the sixth episode due to severe burns on his hands, will return to the
game in a special arrangement with the other contestants.

Skupin, a 38 year old software publisher from White Plains, Michigan,
was never voted out of the tribe in the normal "tribal council" procedure.
CBS documents simply indicated he had left the tribe. Carefully managed
by Survivor executive producer Mark Burnett, he engaged in a limited
number of post-game interviews as though he had left the show altogether.

A source on the production staff, unwilling to provide his name due to
a confidentiality clause in his contract, revealed to UPI that Skupin's
burns were not as severe as they looked on TV. "Mike spent a week in
the burn unit, then another 7 days in further rehab. After that he
was itching to get back in the game, even without the use of his hands,"
said the source

The player's contract indicated that any player unable to make one of the
games "immunity challenges" would be disqualified and immediately leave
the game. However, the contract also allows for modification of the
rules with the consent of 2/3 of the players and the production company.

"Burnett knew that Mike had been the star of the first six episodes.
He was heartbroken when he heard he couldn't play again. Mike was
willing to cut any deal to return to the game."

According to the source, and confirmed by others, the players were
offered additional food if they allowed Skupin to rejoin in episode 11.
As a further condition, to avoid altering the balance of power, Skupin
was not allowed to vote in tribal councils, and if voted off, would join
the jury but not be able to vote. Skupin, whose hands were bandaged
and still receiving regular medical treatment, would be able to opt out
of challenges that might pose a medical risk to his recovery.

Fans were shocked at the news. "We saw him interviewed, and his hands
were healed. How can he go back in the game?" said Tracy Johnson, 24
of Dallas, a self-described "rabid" fan of the show. "I loved Mike but
this is crazy."

Sources close to the production revealed that the producers didn't feel
it would be possible to hide Skupin from the media after his accident.
"If he didn't appear with Jane
people would ask a lot more questions. So Mark went on with him, the
only time he's done that, to make sure the spin went right."

Skupin's return will be negotiated in this week's episode and take place
in the next, according to sources. Previews for the episode only reveal
that some deal is made in exchange for food.
------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think so but there is the possibility, my guess is it is a CHOICE between more food and having Mike back, wether or not this is true we do not know
