Letting go of her 15 min of fame is hard on her. Keep clawing Zoe, no one really likes you anyway and its fun to see you struggle.--- http://www.centralmaine.com/news/stories/020715survivor.shtml Zoe not ready for obscurity 'Survivor' contestant has put 40-foot lobster boat up for sale
By The Associated Press,
Copyright © 2002 Blethen Maine Newspapers Inc. E-mail this story to a friend LEWISTON — "Survivor" contestant Zoe Zanidakis has put her 40-foot lobster boat up for sale as she pursues other options aimed at surviving post-reality show obscurity.
Zanidakis, 35, of Monhegan Island, has two books in the works and another calendar under way. She is also taking acting lessons with ambitions for the big screen. She has a busy summer schedule of promotional appearances, at supermarkets, picnics, festivals and restaurants. She is nearly booked solid for July. Zanidakis, who signed autographs at a Hannaford's supermarket on Friday, said that after 15 years of lobstering, she's thinking of calling it quits. But she won't get out of fishing altogether. "I'm always fishing, I've always been a fisherman of life," she said, flashing on some of the same Zen practicality she exhibited on the Marquesas Islands. "Survivor" viewers watched Zanidakis for nine of the 12 episodes this spring as she fished, crafted a kite and tried to blend into the background, keeping out of the political fray. After a flare-up with teammate Tammy, she was voted off the island on April 25 by a vote of 7-1. Zanidakis said the "Survivor" participants e-mail each other often. "We don't hold any grudges at all." She hopes to have the entire cast join her in Maine this fall to have a cookout and raise money for Outward Bound and the Make a Wish Foundation. "In real life, I think a few of us could work together on projects," Zanidakis said. Her own projects include two books: an autobiography of growing up on an island and a cookbook from the Lobster Lady (her nickname). Acting lessons are also in the works. "I'm always sort of acting out anyway — from running a restaurant to an inn, different things I've always done in my life," Zanidakis said. "You're always putting on some kind of act." On Sunday, she's doing a photo shoot for a 2004 calendar. The one she's selling and signing this year was conceived and shot before she applied for "Survivor." She's in the Lobstering Women of Maine 2002 calendar. She heard they weren't doing it again, so she decided to try her own. Zanidakis has a Web site — www.allzoe.com — to keep fans updated on her schedule, her life and her thoughts about "Survivor." "I feel so wonderful with the way people have welcomed me and been so positive about the experience," she said.

I wonder if we'll hear about it when she realizes she had her 15 minutes. You know.. when it finally sinks in that she's not a super model and selling her boat wasn't a bright move. The problem is that in these small Maine towns it doesn't take much for the locals to think of you as a celeb! Zoe just doesn't realize that the rest of the country isn't a small town that looks at her as a celeb.

The most amazing thing to come out of this story is that ugly, tore up, wrinkled she-man is only 35!! I guess I should have paid attention in the bio's, but OMH that "woman" looks at least 45-50.

Welcome to Blows, times1039!>"I'm always fishing, I've always been >a fisherman of life," she >said, flashing on some of >the same Zen practicality she >exhibited on the Marquesas Islands. Practicality? I guess that's one word for it, just not the right one. >"We don't >hold any grudges at all." > >"In real life, I think a >few of us could work >together on projects," Zanidakis said. > >"I'm always sort of acting out >anyway — from running a >restaurant to an inn, different >things I've always done in >my life," Zanidakis said. I think she officially said more in this article than she said on the island. At least Tom was smart enough to go back to his goats, but you really can't fault anyone for wanting to leave winter lobstering behind. ARRRRRRR!!!!

OMH I'm actually feeling sorry for her....I mean I know she never spoke a word on the show, but I didn't think she was another one of "those types".----------------------------------- Now let us never speak of S3 again.

>Oh hell yes, I'd pay to see Soozin beat the crap out of Zzzzoe! It wouldn't be all that fun. Zzzzoe would forget that she actually signed up to play a game, then be confused because she was expected to have a strategy. This little light of mine...I'm gonna let it shine!

Any person who dislikes Zoe is a friend of mineI just don't understand how someone like her can go on a reality show like Survivor, say and do absolutely nothing on it, and then expect it to make her famous afterwards. She didn't know how to play the game and she did nothing memorable at all. And she wasn't even nice. By the way, Bebo, your post made me laugh very hard.
