Is Luke schizo. One week he is like a nasty boy the next he is totally cool. Poor Marisa. Her 'big' night seemed like a little bit of a downer. Seth finally got something from Summer. How cute. What is Julie up to with Caleb. Trying to be Seth's new grandmother?

I actually think Luke is one of the more realistic characters written on the show. Normally a seemingly nice, great guy, but totally over-competitive and has alpha-male issues and is extremely jealous. He's outwardly nice when he's secure about his position with Marissa and a jerk when he's not.

What happened last night (Sept. 16)? I missed it and thought that they'd replay it like they have every other episode, but at the end of the show, they didn't say anything about a replay.
All I saw was the very end when Ryan, Seth, and Summer found Marissa in the alley and Ryan picked her up. After the PSA about suicide and previews for fall, I assume that Marissa tried to kill herself, but why? Because of her dad, or Ryan?
Fill me in, please!

Marissa found out her parents were getting a divorce which made her depressed.
Then she went into a Tijuana nightclub and saw Luke and Holly getting it on. Marissa confronted them, to which replied Holly responded that Luke was a slut and was sleeping around with everyone and that Marissa was a fool if she didn't know. (Go Holly!)
That sent Marissa over the edge and she took some sleeping pills and then drank it with alcohol and passed out in an alley.

I think they are replaying the episode from the 16th again on the 22nd. Then the show will be off for a while during the World Series. Typical Fox, get you hooked and then leave you in the lurch!

Thank you, managerr and TriGirl. I'll be looking for the repeat on Monday.
I can't understand why they would start the show with a few episodes, get us hooked, then wait to show the rest of the season. Seems like they're taking a big chance since many people will get interested in other shows in that time slot and may not come back to The OC. Which means FOX may soon cancel yet another show I like! Grrr.

I agree. They take the time to show the episodes twice a week, then take a month off! That, plus the fact they are changing the nights when it comes back. I can see it now, "How to Lose Your Audience in 10 Easy Steps"!
