"Paul and Amie" Thanks to the "press day" spoiler... where the press revealed that one team got hopelessly lost (and we saw Paul and Amie do just that in the previews). I think I'm remembering this story correctly, but admittedly my focus has been on Survivor and on Love Cruise. Thanks for starting the vote thread, AyaK... I forgot all about it last night (oops). You never know what might be up my sleeeve...   Top

"Lenny and Karyn" I don't think they'd give out so much help by showing Paul and Aimee lost and then let spoilers out saying someone gets lost and loses. I think Lenny and Karyn have made it by the skin of their teeth too many times, and I shudder to think how Karyn will berate Lenny when they lose. Should make for great television! Chris   Top

"Lenny & Karen" L&K haven't been able to get their act together, and they haven't got a coalition going with folks who would help them along to keep them around, which are both recipes for diasaster. I think P&A got lost, but not hopelessly lost...the producers have not been that obvious so far. They both overreact to things, so I think they would get in a panic and overdramatize when the situation isn't as dire as they expect. The previews have misdirected before. Two episodes ago, I was expecting the grandparents to miss the train and be hopelessly behind, but they ended up in the middle of the pack even though they took a later train due to the cab shortcut. I started another thread on why the P&A promo this week leads me to believe they don't leave just yet.   Top

"Nancy and Emily" So far the teams that have been "hinted at" in the promos are always safe. The two teams that have been "hinted at" are Paul and Amie and Rob and Brennan. I'm going to say Paul and Amie are safe because of all the screen time they are getting--and they even got a new CBS Promo of them this week. Rob and Brennan are safe because we saw a future clip of them in some city saying something like "They didn't say we couldn't lie to one of the other teams." Team Guido and the Separated couple seem like they have their act together so I'd say that leaves. The Frat Boys seem confused at times but they seem like they have a good head on their shoulders too. That leaves Nancy and Emily and Lenny and Karyn. Either way someone is going to be "Dis-A-Point-Ed". Will be it be Karyn? Or the straight male viewing audience? It's mostly a guess, but I'm going with the latter.   Top

"Lenny & Karyn" I really wanna vote Paul & Amie since I'm tired of seeing them kick, punch and assault monuments and landmarks. But I'm hoping Paul sticks around long enough to lose his temper in Egypt and defile a tomb or something. Watching those two get cursed by a mummy would be priceless. That leaves Lenny and Karyn out in the cold. They've been doing just enough to get by and sooner or later it will catch up with them.   Top

"Paul/Amie" Per our opening theme analysis (http://community.realitytvworld.com/boards/DCForumID20/25.shtml ), Frank/Margarita and Drew/Kevin are still safe this week. I think the shot of Team Guido ( http://community.realitytvworld.com/boards/DCForumID20/25.shtml#12 ) is from this week's stop, and everyone else's opening theme scenes also ready seem to have passed. Therefore only Frank/Margarita and Drew/Kevin are off this week's possible boot list. Having correctly picked The Gramps last week, the pressure is on me to begin a bit of a run here... so after carefully pulling names from a hat I'm going to go with Paul/Amie. OK, I'm lying, no hat is really involved, I'm just going to go with the following. Folks are saying the previews are showing Paul/Amie getting lost (I'll confuse, I haven't been watching much CBS and must have missed them) and we have chaos' post from a couple of weeks ago: http://community.realitytvworld.com/boards/DCForumID20/38.shtml#4 How do I know? Entertainment Weekly from the week of September 7th did a rather large Amazing Race article. Other events in Episode 4 include a visit to the Sahara Desert, and apparently one team, and the crew with it, gets very, very lost. The article goes on to say, and I quote, that the day ends in "tearshed and a little bit of controversy." Tears?? Amie??? I could never believe that -- how UNLIKELY!!! -SB   Top

"The Lawyers" Is the preview a red herring, in which they say that 'they better hurry or they've lost?' It could be...but I'm sticking with my guess as to who will go based on face time, and we just haven't seen enough of Rob and Brennan to care very much for either of them. All other teams have gotten a substantial amount of face time thus far.   Top

"The Lawyers" So boring I can't remember their names, this is a sign that they are going earlier rather than later. For a pair that has been close to the lead a lot, they got into trouble last week and don't seem as resourceful as originally thought. Nice guys though but they're already used their fast forward. Amie will cry when Paul threatens to leave her bones to bleach in the Sahara and quit the race, again.   Top

I don't think it's going to matter how her name is spelled after this week. Each couple booted so far seem to me to have gotten relatively less face time than the teams that continue on. For instance in episode 1, I had completely forgotten about the red headed couple untill they showed up in the village dead last. The only one's that I thought got less face time than the red heads were the teachers... gone in episode 2. The mom's only face time was using the fast forward. I had completely forgotten THERE EVEN WAS a moms team... gone in episode 3. The grandparents seemed to me to be a great angle for the producers to show, and I thought if I had produced the show they would be getting alot more screen time... gone in episode 4. Of those remaining, I think Lenny/Karyn have gotten the least screen time.   Top
