"RE: for Simon" hitechgirl, I am a Christian too, but your advice is a bit simplistic when it applies to human beings who have limited awareness of their spiritual nature. and no struggles. But we learn from our struggles; this is why we are here to learn. It is part of our spiritual and carnal journey in life. If all we had to do is read a quote or quotes from a book (allbeit the Bible), then none of us would have any problems. There would just be love all around. But this is not how it works and is terribly unrealistic. As carnal beings (as well as spiritual beings), we need instructions (how-to's). God is perfect, we are not. We have history that has impacted and impressed us and has left emotional scars, i.e. family history, relationship histories, trauma, deaths, abuse, etc. and so everything is not so clear in the presence of all that has happened to a person before getting married or involved in a deep relationship. We have to sift through and make sense of our past, our history, in order to function wisely and courageously in the presence. This takes time and some never make it through all the muck that has occurred in their collective past. Regards,   Top

The truth of the matter is simon doesn't have the tools yet to effectively express himself. You can see the desire in his face, he just doesnt know HOW. I have a feeling that deep inside is a very caring and sensitive man, he just doesn't know how to tap into that part of himself.   Top

That would certainly be understandable in his case. He's very hard on himself and doesn't seem to have very high self esteem. I'd be surprised also if he was born a Christian so he's probably still learning, as are we all.   Top
