Previously on Survivor:Welcome... 18 players, down to 5....See Jiffy in LA at the reunion show.... See them all....35 days ago, 9 pairs of LO's dropped in NIc....begina an adventure of a lifetime, quickly pulled apart, competing against your wife, forced to battle against each other at EI At Coyopa, the majority of tribe know each other, Rocker was hiding from his past, 1 thing that they had in common, couldn't win a challenge, when they thought it couldn't get any worst... for Hun, winning gwas the only thing they could do right, they argued, they wasted their food, they lost flint..and eventually lost their entire camp, this seasons castaway, more difficult than surviving was playing against their LO's...one of the layers of this game...it's blood. 1 by 1 lo were ripped from the game....but when the tribes merged, multiple couples had survived, none more powerful than Jona nd Jac, they led the charge in taking out the games biggest threats in an unpredictable season....big moves flipped the game....there were bad breaks, see the ankle injury, big fights, and some very odd moments...after 35 days, 6 players remain and it appeared that Keith was on the bottom and the power couple sitting pretty, but in S. when you get comfortable, you get voted out, Jon voted out with idol in h is pocket and Jac is all alone...outwit, outplay, outlast, 5 are left. Missy and Bay the only pair remaining, stuck together through missy's multiple divorces...se the million at the end, Natalie, after sister Nadiya voted out first, only herself to rely on, gave her courage to make big moves, and with idol in her pocket not done yet.
Jac she and jon dominated now by herself...not going down without a fight
Keith: 53 year old fireman came into game as underdog, has won multiple ic and now has confidence, PMA....all concludes tonight, who will win the million and the title of sole survivor... At night returning...day 35...Nat says you have to do what you gotta do...we really trusted Missy and Bay...she says really dgood acting...she yells at her now...Jac in conf is crying, so hard after tc...I don't see People ever say bad things about jon, and I just snapped...Nat is making observations about Jon...she says how do you know...Nat says that if anyone was working with Jac they aren't now, now she has to trust Missy and Baylor...Conf from Nat: that's what survivor is, got to put a lot into this if you want to win this....

Day 36...see Missy and Bay talking...goal is for us to win...they are talking about one of them leaving....Bay in conf: we have 4 days left, right now think Nat me Mom to F3....Missy says I don't know...Missy doesn't know about her foot, a hard cast, we chose to go to F3 together, game plan is to Nat and Bay to start crushing these challenges, last thing we need is Keith and Jac to start winning....cut to RC...it's the TETHER challenge...Nat is wearing the necklace but its the tether RC....unspool the rope, build the bridge, use sand bags to knock down blocks. First to finish. Reward: play for something that will give you an advantage in the next IC...one step away from final challenge Missy: good news bad news, chances that you win this challenge 0, you will not compete, good news is you are still in the game They start...gathering rope attached to you throughout this challenge, don't want the rope knotted...Keith is heading out, Nat heading out...Keith working on his bridge, and Jac and Bay heading out now too...close, cannot walk around the bridge. Jac has her rope knotted out...Nat and Keith side by side, neck and neck the entire challenge, but both heading back to get more pegs on the bridge....Baylor is struggling with the rope, Jac with a big fall, that will leave a mark...Keith now with bit of a lead...Baylor dealing with rope, falling out of it. Nat takes a fall, Jac falling out of it. Natalie closing the gap, Nat and Keith....Keith has his bridge complete, now untying his sand bag...Keith with a big hit, knocks off another, 2 more blocks, Nat trying to get back in this...Keith has to collect sand bags now...Keith is slow and steady...Keith wins REWARD, Jac swears, and an advantage in the next IC...that was crazy...Keith is sore already....an advantage, must be read in private, one more decision to make...everyone has been but Missy....spits, on day 36 to be away from the politics could be a severe disadvantage. Sends Jaclyn...will return in time for the next IC... Nat: getting beat by a 55 yer old man, I need to beat him even with his advantage, In order for my plan to work I need to get rid of Keith first....

For what it's worth, they did provide a NEW Clue whenever they re-hid an idol. When Josh/Keith went to Exile Island they received a more detailed 6 word clue to where the first idol for both tribes was hidden even though the clue was useless to Josh since John Rocker had Coyopa's idol but Hunaphu's idol was still not found yet. When the next pair went to Exile Island (Drew and Jaclyn) they received a NEW clue with 2 words (Buried and Flag) since John Rocker was voted out with his idol and it was re-hidden. Baylor and Natalie received a 4 word clue (Buried, Flag, Ten, Of) which was useless to Natalie as Keith now had possession of Hunahpu's idol but Baylor could have found Coyopa's re-hidden idol which later Natalie found after the merge. After the Merge Jon got a NEW Clue when he went to Exile Island and he was able to find the idol. Subsequently Jeremy and Wes went to Exile Island and got a more detailed Clue to the SAME idol that Jon found so they suspected Jon had found the Immunity Idol since Jeremy & Wes could not find it. After Jon played his idol he went back to Exile Island and got a NEW Clue and again he found the idol. Subsequently Alec, Natalie, and Jaclyn all went to Exile Island and they all received a more detailed clue to the SAME 2nd idol Jon found. There are some Bonus Videos with Exile Island inhabitants talking about receiving a clue to the idol Jon had already found (1st or 2nd location).

It did seem like they had new clues ready for many (all) hidden and re-hidden II's. You saw all this (I didn't see the bonus stuff), but it wasn't what you or anybody in the audience saw, but what she saw, and very likely Jac didn't see all the clues, and if not, there should have been some doubt in her mind. And anyway, why not search, just to make sure? What else was there to do on EI after eating snails and digging the sand accumulations out of various...places? There would have been nothing to lose. As to what the producers might have told her, fooling the audience is one thing, and it is undeniable that they do that, but to give information to one person (outside the stated rules of the game), even in the form of a hint, would be cheating and would present legal problems, with lawsuit damages starting at $1 mill. I'm pretty sure that a general "You can’t hold us liable" type of clause would not cover purposeful behavior like that. Cheating would fall under the laws that make it illegal to fix game shows, I think. I am cynical, and I know it can't be ruled out, but I think it's a stretch to assume that they would have given her any usable hints.

Yeah, I remember Rocker saying something like that. Not sure though how the producers might have phrased whatever they said to him. Some interaction between the Survivors and the crew is unavoidable, and it would not have been a problem for them to just talk to him and ask if he was going to use it. From Probst’s insightful cross-examinations at TC it’s obvious that they do question them before they get there.PPS, they can be sued. 1. Anybody can sue anybody else for anything. I think it’s not even required that you be a licensed attorney. 2. A contract clause won't protect against fraud. Chicanery is illegal. Rigging a game show is illegal. Which, if they say that the game offers everyone the same chance to compete and win, or if they say the rules are such and such and they purposefully break them, is what they are flirting with. 3. There are Federal/State laws that regulate the fairness of game shows, and criminal/civil lawsuits can be based on that. You may not remember the 1950's scandal surrounding cheating on the game show “Twenty One” in which the producers rigged the outcome to enhance the drama and increase ratings. This was done on other shows as well. I'm not sure whether Survivor falls under game show classification, but it seems reasonable that it would.

As per what Jeff has said in the past about idol policy, there should have been another idol hidden. If Jaclyn didn't feel like looking for it, I don't think the crew would have been particularly motivated to encourage her. Since they knew there was still another unplayed idol in the game.

Let's see if Keith has the stupidest move in SURVIVOR history line when he suspects there may be an HII on EI...???EXILE island, day 36...pelicans flying...see Jac arrive at the urn...reads the clue...the same clue that everybody else got...see her making fire...Me or Keith the next tribal, she's crying...this game makes me emotional...being diagnosed with not being able to have kids....in the grand scheme of things, I need to get through this...if Jon was here, he would give me a pep talk... back at camp...good job Keith, see Bay, conf: RC was sucky Keith won, he got an advantage...they are talking...gives him an advantage...if he doesn't win tomorrow we send him home immediately...note says read in private...Keith in private, a challenge table has been delivered to your camp, and you can practice as long as you want but when you stop, you are done....thereis the simmotion table...took me a little while to figure it out...see him practicing...challenge table has 4 handles, pass a ball over 3 times, and bam necklace around you r neck...I will stay here and practice because I need that necklace. This room is fixing to flash over and you better do something...he will practice till dark....tackle this and go get that necklace. Concentration ain't has good as it is as when I first started...All he can do right now is go for that necklace. I am losing focus...

Baylor and Nat....obviously me and my mom want to go to F3...Nat says I could go with them or with K and Jac....I have an idol for tonight...it's a big decision on who goes home tonight...They come into the challenge...here comes Jac...the are clapping...how was it all alone....definitely sucked being away from camp...Missy...this was big jon's shoe that he left behind, that she can now stand, so she can participate... Keith will kick them all in the a$$ in this challenge...first person to transfer 3 balls from one side to the other, wins, spot in the F4, loser voted out 7th member of jury... Go....Big learning curve out of the gate...only get the touch by practicing over and over...don't get frustrated, just keep going, Missy doing a nice job and so is Bay...Keith drops. Jac still at the front, Missy getting momentum...Keith drops again, quiestinon is did it help? Missy drops and goes back. Bay half way through with first ball, but she drops. Keith with a nice save....Keith has his first ball in. everyone else still figuring it out....Jac looks over at Keiths....Keith is whipping through the course, and has his second ball. Natalie panicking, rushing, Bay rushing...Keith close to winning, would be his third Indiv'l immunity, garaunteeing F4, Keith wins IC, in the F4...see Baylor, then Jac, then Missy, then Natalie...Jiffy says for the third time you have immunity....for one 2 days short, and 7th member of jury... Keith, I am in the Final four like the NCAA...one more and I won't be sitting by this log, I will be jumping on it!

returning at night, 37: see the sloth...Natalie, before tc, it was about keeping Jac or Bay.or, keeping Missy and Bay together seemed too dangerous, making this move, get rid of a couple and not be the main threat, vote out Missy....Missy's case in F3 is much stronger with Baylor there.Missy is not mad...in conf: nose plant, it's a relief, I don't have to write my childs name down...I guess the fate of my game, I can't compete, see Nat and Missy hug... Roughest day was breaking my foot, but wasn't going to quit...kenw I could fight through it, played with integrity, mainly loyalty, that's why I deserve Jac; i went through ups and downs, just like my real life. In first tribe i layer low, but then merge, reunited with my LO...switched from Josh reed to Missy bay, Jon gets blindsided, now I am here, this is like a metaphor...I was down and alone, feeling really terrine labour who I was, turned a negative into a positive and I feel like I did this in this game... Nat, says she outwit, outlast, outplayed better than the 2 ladies next to me....volunteered for exile twice, never call me lazy, when Nadiya got voted out, I changed, I have to win this game for her, do everything with a purpose, so proud to be pleading my case to you....last night, the right decision should have been me, not Keith, if they made the right decision.... Congrats Pepe! But, let's face it, many of us really nailed it....we logically reasoned that Missy would go out at F5 because of that injury....a very reasonable assumption. Placing the other of the pair in the F3. If we had all gotten that right, we would have been perfect! So I think we did amazingly well, ALL of us! WELL DONE!!! We did not see Jaclyn going to EI....because of the vidcaps. We also didn't see Jaclyn winning the final immunity challenge....WOW! Jaclyn picked the right one to go imo. She did believe he had more friends on the jury than Natalie. Remember she and Jon had no idea just how close she and Jeremy were. And, she had far more connection with Natalie than she ever had with Keith. I suppose you could say that Keith's social game cost him the money. If he had forged a friendship with Jaclyn and others, some kind of a relationship, he could have possibly swayed her. His argument was extremely weak, imo, to choose him to stay rather than Nat's. I really liked Keith, don't get me wrong, but if he had won, I would not have been happy. THANKFULLY the strategic and hard player won the game!

A big fan welcome to Nat...does nat think she did better because her sister was voted out early...she said the push to do something for her, helped...played the idol for Jac, a giant risk to give up an idol...she said I had a decision...she feels like she blacked out...the next thing she realized is that Baylor got voted out...biggest move of the game was to convince Jac to get rid of Keith and not you...having Missy and Keith with me in the F4, allowed them to put the target on each other and not me... Jac says she played me, I had no idea she had an idol....she thought that that Keith had all the jury votes, not Nat....If Nat had been voted out, who would have voted for Keith. They said 4...Keith would have won.... What is the difference between how someone like Natalie was edited versus someone like Hayden? How can we determine which type is which? I feel like these two conditions are the most important in deciding between the two. Could very easily alienate the audience (hence the hidden edit at the beginning).
Surrounded by big (but clearly flawed) characters and players. Someone like Hayden probably wouldn't alienate the audience in any way, so there's no reason to hide him if he wins. He's kind of straightforward. And then regarding the context of the other players, it's a matter of playing process of elimination for the dominant player and asking... Is Missy disqualified because of how people perceive her and Baylor? Is Jon disqualified because he is such a tool sometimes? Is Keith disqualified because he was shown as a Dumb Player so much? Back in South Pacific, is Coach disqualified because he keeps bringing religion (and honor) into the game? You yourself said you hate South Pacific, partly because of all the religion that Coach brought with Brandon. Or, in the case of Hayden, is Tyson disqualified because he was a jerk at the immunity challenge? In this case, the answer was "no" because that one bad moment was a small blip on an otherwise solid character edit. I think there are obviously many seasons where all of this analysis isn't necessary because it's obvious who will win... But in a season like this one or South Pacific where almost all of the major characters have definable and demonstrable flaws, we probably need to apply some of these tests.

I was thrilled that Natalie won, but like you, Jims, I never expected to be rooting for her! I think she may have played one of the best games and deserves a place among the best strategists. She made great moves when she needed to, helping her and her alliance go far. The Alec vote where she pretended to mess up - brilliant! Has anyone ever done that? Saving Jon by telling him to use his idol - game saving for her and her alliance. The blindsides of Jon and Baylor - proving she can take control of the game and deserves to win. She was smart too, in terms of social game. Even when her closest ally, Jeremy, was voted out, she stayed cool and kept on working with the people who betrayed her, biding her time. She completely earned her win.

OK. Now that we're entering a lull in Survivor discussions, I'd like to mention a couple of things that struck me.Why did Jac not look for an HI at the end? Her statement was that "It was just the same old clue." But since Jon had left with the last HI in his pocket (what a dummy), production could have, and very well may have, hidden another HI, and just used the same clue. One would think that they would have changed the clue up a little, but what else did she have to do during her time on EI except to check out that possibility? I hope in one of her post Survivor interviews that someone asks her to explain that. And why did our speculation not include the possibility of the RC reward being an advantage in the next IC? (I may be speaking for myself only here, because it never occurred to me). It's been done before, and it would have had a speculative impact on who won the F5 IC. Which would have had and did have an obvious impact on the game. If we had guessed correctly on winning the RC (as FP and Tribe did – kudos), then the winner of the F5 IC would have been more obvious (although both Tribe and FP guessed this as well - double kudos). But I didn't see anyone including spec that included an RC reward being an advantage. That picture of Keith with his face in his hands comes to mind.

S25E014 Philippines Finale Reward Challenge Reward Challenge: The castaways would run an obstacle course of a balance beam, over a wooden pyramid, a bamboo thicket, a second balance beam, and up a wood ramp to collect three puzzle bags. The castaways would then use the puzzle pieces to assemble a puzzle.
