I do get the vibe that Dale is a dead man walking, quit or no quit, and I agree the nuHun's will be tough to beat. Will they merge at 12? That would be after this next episode... Next vote means I know I'm on the chopping block. Dale: The idol is not a true idol. I just took it off the water well, the first day here. They don't know it's not, but they're gonna spend a couple restless nights thinking it is. Dale: So I won't be going home next time. Jon: Okay. It doesn't look like it. Jon: This morning Dale showed me an Immunity Idol. So, he either tells him the AM before the reward challenge, and is a candidate to go to EI, and find a real one, OR, he tells him the AM before the IC. Regardless, more than likely Jon will communicate to the group about Dale's antics. They will split the votes and Dale will go home, OR, Keith will reveal to someone that he has the real idol and they all vote for Dale and he goes home. I would assume what is on one water lid, would be on the other, so if no one took the decoration off the lid at Hunahpu, then more than likely Jon, Missy, Keith would all know that it is NOT the real idol. But, OTOH, this is Survivor, and people get paranoid. Josh was told that Rocker had an idol, and he may have told Baylor. Most likely Dale knew too. So, they would most likely think another one was in play. What will be interesting is if they do buy that it or he has a real idol, who they decide to throw the other votes to...revealing who is on the bottom of the pecking order. Now, one other thing to speculate about...At Sucks someone pointed out that looking at the bags it looks like Reed went to EI, and has returned to the IC, which assumes that Baylor won the Hero challenge. But, I disagree. I think it is wise to look at bags brought to the IC, it can help narrow it down....here are pics from them arriving at the IC... I think there is some clothing by Julie's feet, and a clear Coyopa bag, but there is also either a blue Hunahpu bag or Hunahpu water bottles and clothing behind Reed and Josh. Now here is a pic of nuCoyopa's mat: It looks like there is a Coyopa bag and either a Hanahpu water bottle or bag, but look at Baylor....if you look closely you can see she's carrying her bag and her water bottle....could she be our returner from EI? Then here is the last shot before the start of the challenge: Baylor has put down her stuff and is ready to play...   Top

Baylor and Reed face off in the Hero Challenge. Reed will win which automatically sends Baylor to Exile Island. Reed will most likely pick Josh to go to Exile with her. (He knows they were allied.) The Dale's faux-idol storyline is interesting because the show is trying to make more out of it than would appear is really going on. While the only real shot we have of Hunahpu's water-well is in ep 4 and during Keith's search for the idol, it does NOT appear to have a similar tchotchke tied to the lid. Hunapu Water-Well Lid So if there was a similar item it was taken before ep4. Which does lend some credence to the thought that Jon may fall for it being a real idol, because he most likely hasn't seen anything like it. Add to that a sequence aired that appeared to show Dale taking his "idol" out of his pocket, placing it in a bag and then walking off. The strange part is it is shown out of sequence. The idol is taken from the bag, put into his pocket and then he leaves... to talk to Jon. I think this happens AFTER the Hero Challenge and BEFORE the Immunity Challenge. IOW, He is not going to Exile Island.   Top

There HAD to be the same tchotchkes on both wells but it's evident that someone in production figured that they'd help sell Dale's tchotchke as an idol if they made all the other tchotchkes disappear.   Top

I've been scouring caps to see if anything similar showed up at Hunahpu. The only thing even remotely considerable is the feathers Drew wore, then shared with Jon (and now belong to Wes and Natalie). While both came with leather straps, the feathers are...well feathers and they are blue, while the faux-idol at Coyopa is NOT yellow.   Top

OR 200 average servings). And I believe 5 lbs of dry beans as well. Portion control was rampant on Coyopa. Which still leaves them with nearly "half a bag" or 200+ ozs OR nearly 100 average servings. Whereas Hunahpu appears to have little more than a handful, perhaps 8 to 10 ozs. (4 or 5 servings) Strange that JP is bringing a full size bag of rice considering when the merge happens (in 4 days) a new bag is included in their feast supplies as well as all rewards will be food based from that point on. I doubt Hunahpu will actually decline whatever JP's offering and go "hungry" for the next 3 days but they should. Go fishing, for sake's sake! Stop complaining! Instead they may lose their entire shelter and comfort items (or worse) just to cover for 3 days worth of rice.   Top

"RE: S29 | Ep 06 | PR Camp Photos" Sheldor: I want to thank you so much for organizing the press images for us each week, I do find it very helpful, especially when figuring out the timeline. Regarding your thoughts on the placement of this picture... . This appears as if it's a morning shot, we see Jeremy with his hood up and we see Julie in her shirt. Their clothing is similar to this one... And it really matches the one dated 6/15, 6:02 AM... Can't be 100% sure but I think it is most likely the AM of 6/15, at 6:00ish, they are waking up, stirring, just before Jiffy comes to their camp with the rice bag. I think it's the morning before they go to the Reward challenge. If that is the case it's non conclusive regarding the winner of the hero challenge... I think the timeline goes perhaps we start the night of TC at Coyopa with a comment or two from Dale re: Kelly's boot, then cut to the next AM at dawn as the nuHunahpu's awaken...Jiffy arrives with the rice and the bargain is struck. Many confessionals about what it could be, etc... Cut to hero arena and the duel between Baylor and Reed. I am in the camp that suspects Reed wins....Reed is either ahead of Baylor in the shots, OR, Baylor is ahead of Reed, and he has to go back for a missing piece or two? I think they are both capable of navigating the obstacles quite adeptly as they are both extremely nimble. I think Baylor will lose, and I think she will go to EI and he will choose Josh to go with her. I do not see them sending Dale to EI to find another HI clue. Keep him at camp so you can keep an eye on him. AM of the IC, in the morning Jon goes crabbing and Dale puts his fake idol in his pocket and chases after Jon and show and tells it. Cut to the IC, Hunahpu's win again, drama about what the heck Dale has and to TC. Dale is toast, whether they split votes or not...   Top

I think you are right about where that Hunahpu camp photo should be in the timeline. I also think Reed wins the RC and sends his partner Josh since a) He knows Josh is aligned with Baylor, b) to get another clue to the HII. Also, when Keith/Josh went to EI their clue had 6 symbols on it (4 for Rocker/Jeremy, 2 symbols for Val/Keith) but when Jaclyn/Drew went to EI their clue only had 2 symbols on it so it could be a clue to a new location at both camps and whoever goes this week (e.g. Baylor/Josh) would get a clue with 4 symbols which was enough for Rocker to find the HII.   Top

My question is, do you think they would hide two more immunity idols? Sheldor is right, it sure looked like there was a new set of directions that Jacklyn and Drew got to see. But, when Drew and Jacklyn went the tribes were not split...would they hide another at Hunahpu when Keith was still there with his tucked away? Just curious...potentially having 3 HII's in play?   Top

On "go" the tribes will race to get all of their members up and over a 10 foot wall. Once on the other side, they will all push, flipping, flopping, dragging a large 8' x 8' large wooden cube across the beach. They'll stop off at a few spots (4), collecting puzzle pieces (in bags) that are in the shape of flags (2 per bag). When they get to the end, two players will then assemble the (8) flags in order.
