It isn't that hard to figure out really. Brandon watched his uncle play the game and fall twice to temptation, Parvati first and then Krista. His wife divorced him after the 2nd time. And his uncle is supposedly older and wiser. Brandon is worried that he too will be seduced by a pretty girl and that it will come between him and his family. He is 19 years old, he has a lot going on and it is a struggle for him both morally and physically. He is attracted to Mikayla but yet he knows he isn't supposed to be because he is married.
