I don’t think he planned his strategy very well. Even geek-boy took his shirt off. It will be become apparent within days he is trying to hide something. I think it would have been better if he acknowledged the family tie but said Russell was a distant relative, (4th cousin twice removed, or whatever) and he had never met him. But he won’t be able to hide those tats for 30 days. That will be his downfall.

Welcome to Survivor South Pacific...2 more people will be joining you....who's it going to be? as the helicopter comes....the blue tribe hopes it's not Russell...he says he will never tell them his name and he shows his tatoos.... Red tribe is excited for their newcomer....they see Ozzy, Blue wnats him cause he can fish....Mikayla says Ozzy, come to us, he can fish and amazing athlete, but Coach is just out there....Women in the front, Christine, Ozzy and the Dragon Warrior, she makes a pose, it's nice to see them....Christine says that they are temporary players, Ozzy shrugs....John, I know that the players that you really like you call by the last name, call me Cochran...your reaction to seeing them? They have so much experience and they will be huge assets to the game. He is a fan of the game, he's a huge fan and he's thrilled to see Ozzy and Coach. 2 eggs, with red and blue paint inside, Ozzy chooses first, Ozzy red, Coach blue, Ozzy's tribe is thrilled, John says he couldn't have been more thrilled to see someone to some extent idolized...Rick wasn't thrilled to see the dragon slayer, Coach does not have a good vibe from the blue tribe, that he grabbed a hold of his cheeks, he's going to need twice the amount of charm to get through the first few days, A big HUG for Ozzy, he's received alot better from his tribe, he wanted the red tribe as they seemed like a nice strong tribe... Tells them about being voted out and duels First challenge, a hero challenge, Ozzy will square up vs Coach, a chance to prove your worth. Climb up a 12 ft pole, then crawl under a log, then transfer your pyramid puzzle across three tables, moving one piece at a time with the turtle on top, wins reward, potatoes and flint for fire... Coach and Ozzy to the start....a chance for Ozzy and Coach to put up or shut up, Ozzy up and down, then digging in sand, Ozzy going for it....Ozzy is through, Coach is stuck, Ozzy working on puzzle, Coach is through, one piece at a time, can't go big on top of small, one piece at a time, Ozzy is examing the puzzle, the tribes are helping them out....Coach seems to be getting it,,,,now Ozzy has the base on the finish table, Ozzy has it going, Coach is stumped Ozzy wins! He goes and sits right in the middle....he says that it was a tribe win, and yes, we earned it, they have Taro, and flint and a map to your new home.... Upolu, all you get is a map to your new home....down the beach to the right, Edna stops to help him....Coach likes her smile, no one else is talking to him, right off the bat he has to come face to face with his biggest fear....your going home...

Savaii, day one, they arrive and clap, Ozzy holds up the flint, we've got the fire, Mark says we are looking up to you, this tribe wants me to tell them how to do everything, but he wants to play a strategic game, John tells them he goes to Harvard, Whitney says she's from Nashville, and Semhar starts reciting her poetry, she has confessional, she got bput on the spot and wanted to step up so they know they can trust you...Ozzy says she's beautiful when she did her poen it was beautiful, he respects her passion, he'd like to have her along side of hi for the long haul...he doens't want to worry and break their necks working too hard, let's go swimming and enjoy this. John says let's just have fun, John is opposed to doing this....he has translucent skin, really pale skin, wasn't crazy about going in the water, I'm regretting this, Elyse says it's like a bandaid, just rip it off, he looks different than everyone, there ae beautiful women, this is the 90210 tribe and I'm a zero, he bounds in to the water, does slow motion, they laugh...Coach says that the tribe was shooting daggers and giving the cold shoulders, he had to come face to face with that fear, he says don't look at me as a threat, Christine says maybe we can talk about our occupation, Rancher, Baseball Coach, Sophie graduated 3 days ago, was a Russian major, they need to pick a location for the shelter....They look to coach for direction.... Rick says he spencs alot of time by himself...Edna likes Coach, he's a team player, he's an asset, see him correcting Albert and his chopping the bamboo....Christine is looking for firewood and goes off looking for the HII, says she doesn't need it but would like to have it....they all see she is looking for it like crazy.... Coach points it out, no doubt about it he says Christine is target number one.... Back at Savaii: Jim was so excited about the three hot girls, says he's a forensic science teacher....in confessional says he's not a teacher, but he's not telling them that....Mark says he's gay and has a boyfriend, they are all laughing....he's older and he's experiencing life without restrictions, I'm gay and if they don't like it, tough, I'm a team player. Ozzy says lets get the fire going Dawn says they are starting to form a bond, he thought this day would end with the shelter done, Ozzy says, we'll be fine....Dawn says she's not relaxed....Ozzy says if it doesn't rain tonight, I'll be happy sleeping on the ground, and Dawn says that Ozzy is a little "Bob Marley" to me...and I'm a planner.... Back at Upolu...Brandon has a LOCO tatoo on his neck, it means crazy, I tried to act like Russhell in HS, I bullied, now I'm good, God's number one for me.... They are making progress on their shelter, they need to get the top done, she climbs up there - Mikayla is a tomboy she wants to get things done and get her hands dirty. Brandon says he doesn't feel comfortable around Mikayla the way she flaunts herself off, he grew up in the church, he's always been there for me....he doesn't want to get himself in trouble, it's not cool for him....

Night falls and Upolu is amazed at the stars....5 of us at the canoe talking, Coach would love to win all of the immunities....he says if you have a strong 5 you can go a LONG way, almost impossible to crack...that is why he is bring this up....Rick, Sophie, Albert, Coach, Brandon, ....nothing stronger than an alliance on day one....
Savaii, DAwn spills the boiling pot of water, day two is rocky, she didn't sleep she feels like she is going to have a nervous breakdwon, she's cramped and she's used to drinking so much water...Dawn feels old for the first time...she pulls a vine and falls, she woke up without containing her emotions, she is talking to Ozzy, she's spent, he says he knows.....Ozzy says this has nothing to do with the game, she says that the person that has the breakdown goes....Mark says they are the oldest, crying is viewed as a weakness...Mark will not desert her....Ozzy says as longas you don't quit, you have what it takes, you have something inside of you...he's trying to calm her nerves, I'm the anchor....you don't need to let it get to you, just feel it and let it go....Ozzy says let me go catch her some fish...if she gets it together than she could be a great ally, but if she doesn't get it together she very well could be going home...see Whitney seeing her cry with Ozzy, then we see Elyse see her crying....uh oh!

Davaii: Semhar is telling them to use Ash for toothpaste. Ozzy says that he will be ok, but for everyone else, it will start wearing on everone, and it already has....so he's going to build the shelter. Elsyse gives edvice to John on coconut chopping. Ozzy is a little skeptical of Mr. Cochran, doesn't seem like he has much to offer on the phusical side, he's trying to provide....John says that he's not a provider but tries to charm and humor, is that enough to keep someone around, he hopes so, cause that's all he's got.Upolu: Brandon thinks Uncle Russell didn't have a good social game, he got a fish, so Rick brings in a 2 inch fish, he will never reveal his tats so he'll keep his shirt on forever, doesn't wnat to be judged by his uncles rep. Sophie is thrilled as she has a good alliance, she's worried about Brandon though... Cut to challenge: Both tribes race through zig zag paths and then a wall then dig up a machete then chop ropes that release coconuts, first to get enough in their bag to lift the other weighted bag and raise your flag, will win... In a addition the winning tribe will win one clue to an HII... Coach is leading the strategy, Semhar is volunteering to shoot...Ready, go...both tribes through the paths, Ozzy flying through, everyone get to the mat before the coocnuts....Coach leading Upolu....they hit the wall first, Rick up first then Albert, Whitney up first, John can't get up....Cochran struggling, Albert pulling Brandon up, they are over, Rick is digging, Ozzy goes over, then Ozzy digs, Dawn is cheering, Richk has it, Ozzy has it, neck and neck, Rick is smoking it, and Ozzy is not, then all are up...Semhar is choking, one at a time, the other blue tribe is not missing, Semhar is not making any....no switching, she's so tired....Keith and Ozzy all score, Semhar is choking, very close, neck and neck, the bags are starting to lift, Mikayla lifts the flag....Blue wins! Show Keith and Ozzy, one cocnut away, Semhar says sorry guys, one of the closest challenges Jeff has seen in the game....Coach gets the idol and they win flint and one more thing, hidden back at your camp is a clue to the HII, first find the clue then use that to find the HII. Semhar how are you feeling....she felt bad, didn't think that they would be that happy, she feels sorta bad...Jim is pissed...."sorta bad"....Some one will be the first person voted out and they zoomed in on Dawn and John. Jim says she chose what she wanted to do, she was adamant about doing it....blah blah blah...

A little too much recycling on the challenge itself and the constant resets (all players on the most current mat) got annoying fast, plus Ozzy made up a little too much time during the digging. Overall, not a bad contest, but the closeness felt more artificial than anything else. And given the sheer number of shots needed to fill the net, a lot of people were missing: the ground shots showed a lot of coconut scatter. Semhar isn't the only person at fault here: she's just the one with the worst shooting percentage. 'One away' means someone else could have made one more shot -- but the blame is the Starks reality.

Editing is pointing to Dawn, John, or Semhar....hmmm....at this point, I wouldn't be surprised to see Dawn go.....Upolu: Coach notes that the other tribemates are thriving. Christine is wondering about the clue to the idol and we see many of then looking....Stacey says that the HII is somewhere she's looking and turning over rocks, probably be right in my face and won't even know it, and we see the clue sticking out of a hole in the tree that she had just looked in. Savaii....SEmhar making excuses says that Jim made us look weak, you made faces behind my back, why call it out at the challenge? I try to be positive, you were making faces behind my back...all I'm saying as don't be too quyick to turn on someone. Semhar says that she's extremely honest, I either love you or hate you, you will know, says that it wasn't probably be too bright to turn on Jim.
Dawn and Mark are together...Dawn is hoping that Semhar will go, Dawn and Mark are talking Semhar going home. Ozzy says for this first vote, let's think hard, he wants Semhar to stay....Dawn is strong, Ozzy wants Cochran....he's not athletic....Not fair to blame Semhar, she took a chance...she's so unaware of her inablilities....Jim is scared that Ozzy will get in an alliance with all of the girls, Semhar is useless, her body is goreous but that can't factor in in a million dollar decision....He tells her she's got to go and do some politicking...he's going to go ask others who will you vote for me or him? Keith...Jim tells Cochran that he's on the block. He says his achilles heel is my insecurity...he goes and talks to Mark, he's on high alert, paranoia mode. To be the first one kicked off, this is insulting....He says it was a dream but now it's a night mare....TC tonight will suck....I'll be sent to RI like an idiot....he's really paranoid, it's "not a comedy show"! HA!

Yeah, that's been discussed elsewhere. There's also a Jim Rice (namesake's in the baseball Hall of Fame), a Rick Nelson (country music) and a retired NYPD cop with the surname Caruso. Add in Hantz being a recycled Survivor name and you've got plenty of interesting names here.

I think that Semhar will go....Jim, Mark, Dawn, John will all vote for Semhar. I think that Keith or one of the girls will also vote for Semhar. Hear the rattle snake sound, they light their torches with fire, fire represents your life...last one seated is Semhar. Is there any talk about redemption island....he asks Dawn....how bad did it get on the first 2 days...she lost confidence because nothing is the same here as it is at home, I cried, and I never cry. I confided in Ozzy, it's kind of like I had the flu and now it's gone. Elyse says that Semhar is also worried. Jim says that he is a competitor, hates losing, and she went out there and she lost. Whitney says that she was glad that she didn't lose it, she could have done it but she was so confident that she could do it. No, just go, don't stop, sometimes you need direction. Semhar isays it's a slight relief, it's just a matter of votes at this point. Cochran wants to interject....he thinks that Semhar, he's nervous right now, Semhar stands by the pot for 10 hours a day, it's not strenuous...I'm an eager student, Ilearn it once and then I do it, that's my instinct, to be even a possibility to be the first one voted off is mortifying, I'll be your genie in the bottle, my eyes are open, I don't think that Semhar has that passion for this game....I think this works against you....Keith says that there is a small window to get to know people at this point in the game... ------------------- Behind-the-Scenes Tidbit: The Savaii raft must’ve gotten stuck on a reef or something because they were stuck out there for about twenty minutes. Hilarious. Behind-the-Scenes Tidbit: Probst made the suggestion that if someone was really passionate about his tribe, that he’d smash the egg against his forehead. Neither guy took him up on that. Behind-the-Scenes Tidbit: This puzzle took forever. As in for-ev-er. And, Probst had to describe how the puzzle worked a dozen times. It was ugly. Behind-the-Scenes Tidbit: One of the challenge producers told me that Coach was super close to making a move that would’ve given him a huge advantage over Ozzy, but he got confused and used the wrong tactic. Behind-the-Scenes Tidbit: While I was at the Upolu camp I followed Sophie and Coach when they wandered off. They weren’t discussing specific strategies but they were talking as if they hoped to work together in the future. Behind-the-Scenes Tidbit: During our visits to the tribe camps, Upolu was getting along much better than Savaii. Upolu seemed to do things as a tribe, while Savaii was split up with some people working on projects while others were just hanging out around the fire. Upolu also had a shelter up much quicker than the Savaiians. Behind-the-Scenes Tidbit: The press’s exhibition running of this immunity challenge was so violent that they changed the rules so players couldn’t return to the beams after they were out. Behind-the-Scenes Tidbit: Every “Survivor” challenge is edited to make it look like a squeaker. This one required no such editing. My heart was pounding through my chest. Behind-the-Scenes Tidbit: Mark had about a dozen bear-based nicknames picked out. Probst finally made him decide on one for fear of too many nicknames confusing the folks at home. Another Behind-the-Scenes Tidbit: Tribal Council goes on for about two hours. Half of this Tribal Council was spent with Cochran making the case for why he should stay in the game. He was driving everyone nuts. What’s worse is; it was clear that everyone wanted Semhar to go. But the fact that his name was even brought up sent Cochran over the deep end. Whitney and Keith were going out of their way to let him know he was safe, but he just kept on talking. Behind-the-Scenes Tidbit: Probst totally called Semhar as the first boot on day two.

Wow, very enlightening, BF! Thanks so much for posting. The thing that stuck out to me was During our visits to the tribe camps, Upolu was getting along much better than Savaii. I'm not surprised as the newbies would be looking to the returnees as experienced and leaders, especially in regards to camp building. Clearly, Ozzy has never been a real leader. He doesn't feel comfortable with it, and fares much better as a side kick to someone else who has a plan and knows what to do with it. That's why he succeeded so well in Cook Islands. He really floundered until he became one of the core Aitu 4, where his athletism pulled the underdogs through, and he could shine as provider. His problem is that he needs to know when to cut loose his partner, because he'd never win with his partner sitting next to him, imo. He had Parvati to call the shots in AllStars. And she knew when to cut him loose. Ozzy is a love child, hippie-type. Dawn pegged it when she called him a little too "Bob Marley". Maybe they could form a tight bond where she could be in charge of the strategy and he could win challenges and provide....don't know if Dawn is any kind of mastermind, BUT Cochroach sure is. Would LOVE to see these two pair up. He needs to make a proposal to Ozzy, imo. In contrast, Coach is a leader. He was excellent walking around and encouraging them all and making corrections in a constructive way, as he did correcting Albert on how to chop the bamboo, from an angle instead of straight on. He's a coach. I think they will all be receptive of him until they don't need him anymore. And, let's face it, there is more than one alpha on that tribe.

I wouldn't have expected a lot of leaks this season. Next season, which will have been over with for around 5 months before they start showing it, might be leaks galore, and there might be more leaks on this one later in the season. But this one had only been done for a little over 2 months when it started airing,and the crew probably just got back from doing the next one, so there hasn't been much chance for stuff to leak out.

If there were none for the 2nd season of the pair, I certainly wouldn't expect any for the 1st season of this pair. I think they probably have the leaks plugged for now, but they won't stay plugged forever.
