my0wn 40 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Beauty Pageant Celebrity Judge" 03-02-01, 10:49 AM (EST) "opening credit theory" there was a post awhile back about the order of appearance of the cast in the opening of the show. I was trying to revisit it and see how the theory was working, but I can't find it. Does anyone recall the order?   Top

Elwood 93 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Hollywood Squares Square" 03-02-01, 12:25 PM (EST) 1. "Probably not exactly what your looking for...but..." I had posted maybe a week ago a working theory, which up til EP 6 was doing just fine. It involved the opening credits..not the order, but that some are shown with one shot kind of surrounded by a black border (at least the corners of the screen). But Mike wasn't up to go on EP 6, so it's shot. Here's the opening credit order, though: Colby Maralyn - 3 Keith Mitchell - 4 Jerri Kel - 2 Amber Tina Michael - 6 Alicia Rodger Elizabeth Kimmi - 5 Nick Deb - 1 Jeff Now, my theory was working like this. On even weeks (2&4) the person voted off DID have the black border surrounding one of their shots. These people were: Colby Keith Mitchell - 4 Kel - 2 Amber Tina Elizabeth Jeff Weeks 1, 3, & 5 the person voted off did NOT have a border in one of their shots: Maralyn - 3 Jerri Michael - 6 Alicia Rodger Kimmi - 5 Nick Deb - 1 Like the rest of you guys, I didn't think this was the week Mike burnt his hands, and didn't think the injured had to leave, so I went with this theory and picked Jeff. Obviously bad. I will track it for a few more weeks, on the iffy chance that since Michael didn't get voted off, it kinda jumps, and the next person actually voted off comes from the black border having group, and week 8 it's from the black border lacking group. I think the reason I started tracking this is there wasn't a rhyme or reason on how the bordered shots went. 6 borders in Ogakor and only 2 in Kucha, and there didn't seem to be any pattern to speak of that I could find. If it starts to look promising again (like after EP 8) I'll bring it up again, just as food for thought.   Top

"RE: Probably not exactly what your looking for...but..." wow elwood.. that was a good "hunch".... also too on another board there was an anaylsis... (and a piece written up for the site) about the quality of the shots and the duration... and I compared the Intro of S1 and S2.... it gave us something to think about.. remember Richard's and Kelli's pics.. almost to the end of the intro.... they were longer lasting shots of them in the nature scene.... compare the time, places and nature of the shots... let me know what you think! (notice for both the intros of the shows the 1st bootees maybe had 1-2 second "staged camera shots in the states")   Top

Interesting ideas, will have to keep that theory in mind. The post I was referring to was the one where the person stated if you took each tribe and listed the members in the order they appear on the show opening credit that every other person from Ogakor was booted and I was wondering if it was still holding. I don't remember the specifics of it, but I believe the person said it was an idea from S1 and it was true for Ogakor, I just wanted to check it out again and see if it was a possibility. I think that Michael's accident will mess up some of the theories but we should overlook that.   Top
