Nothing wrong with a little limbering up and mental relaxation: keep your health, sanity, and it'll potentially boost your efforts in the challenges. And since Shambo is so determined to be on the outside and get the work done, it lets the others play around. I don't think she wants in. It would destroy her perception of herself.   Top

"Reward/Immunity Challenge" 2 members will retrieve a crate, and there is a battle zone where a defender will try to impede their progress. After they get out of the battle zone, they go get the crate and then have to bring it back and tag the other 2 members of their tribe. Male defenders versus 2 males of the opposing tribe, same for the females. Once all 4 crates are back on the beach, they have to stack them up on a tower in such a way that they have no repeating colors on any of the 4 sides of the tower...... Reward: Pillows, comforters, etc. No sign of tarp. RussHell, Yasmin, Shambo, Erik and Brent are all sitting out because this is a 6 on 6 challenge..... 3 men and 3 women needed.   Top

Offer for the leader: Do you want comfort or function? Function is pots, pans and other stuff... and RusSwell chooses comfort. Even though he's a function guy, they seem to be doing good, so he doesn't think they need the function stuff...... (ominous clouds) Shambo will be joining Fugga Fugga for the rest of the episode as observer, and seeker of a HII that is not in the same place anymore...... as well as privately b/c about that decision, probably.   Top

Speaking of weird decisions... *sigh* This purple tribe is not the original to fly under that color: any one of those would have grabbed the tarp in a heartbeat and taken the rest of the survival equipment as a through-the-roof bonus. This group? Half of them are looking behind Jeff to see if he's hiding a couch. BTW, was anyone else watching Ben's face as he went after RusSwell? Enjoying himself a little too much... Note that he had trouble making eye contact with Mick there -- he's not as good a liar as he thinks he is: his body language is horrible. Of course, Shambo's telling the (self-perceived) truth about her place in her tribe, and Mick thinks she's lying... And on further review, RusSwell still made the stupidest possible play. (A crushed larynx would be life threatening without immediate attention so it wouldn't be a laughing matter) - You see the rope hit Erik on the shoulder first. It does glide to his neck but he's already falling backwards at the time. That would reduce the impact quite a bit. I could be wrong but I think we would have heard something more in the line of: "At Galu, a dramatic event..."   Top

I agree they would preview it differently it were a serious injury. It could be that they are giving Eric an "accident-prone" edit if he eventually gets sidelined by infected coral cuts. The order in which JP mentioned the heat and non-stop rain and *then* the scary evacuation makes me think that the putrid weather conditions, if they are not the direct cause for the evac, will at least have had an effect on the tribes by the time the evac takes place. We don’t often have contestants that can state their case with such efficiency. However, I’m not sure his attitude is flexible enough to win this game. He has very strong opinions, which he vocalizes often and he has a hard time letting others be who they want to be. I think Jaison is approaching this game like a courtroom trial. I state my case. You state yours. A judge decides. Only problem, it doesn’t work that way out here. My wish for Jaison would be for him to laugh a bit more, get a little dirty (actually get dirty), and try to let some of the smaller stuff go, because he is a strong presence and could last a long time. I think they're setting up a struggle, but it might not come to a head for a while. Galu probably goes to tribal next week. For such a dysfunctional start, I think Foa Foa could be unified enough now to win some challenges. It might not even come to a head until merge when Jaison will have a huge target on his back.   Top

BEN is the only person who paid attention; the others didn't bite. Ben is not the "tribe" - although he might think CBS got it right. It was impossible to solve with those lame teasers. Shame on CBS. ETA - I don't mean it was impossible to pick the boot. Clearly CT did (and I agreed with her all week, even though I did a last minute hop to Liz). I'm a novice but I thought I read somewhere that they send those voted out to different locations or home at different times. They've done it different ways in the past, and I've only heard about what happened on a handful. They don't send any of them back to the US until the game is over, but they usually get some kind of vacation. However, with the budget cuts, it's possible the pre-jury stayed at the Ponderosa on Samoa (where the accommodation was paid for the duration), until the first juror arrived. The last time they had a 20 person cast (the Cooks), there were 8 non-jurors. They might send them of 4 and 4. I would not assume that the early non-jurors necessarily have bonding time with the later group of non-jurors. We just don't know. Yasmin needs to go join Ben SOON.   Top

I actually don't think he wants Jaison out next, because he doesn't want the women to have the dominant voting bloc. I think Ashley will be his target, just like last week. Mick has been on board with losing Ashley since the beginning, so he won't fight it. With Ben gone, Foa Foa will care more about who is working around camp when it comes to picking a female boot. Betsy said Ashley did the least. Ashley is on a cruise so she is not going to do press until she gets back. Therefore cold wet soggy comfort tribe Galu very likely goes to TC.   Top
