We've definitely gotten some memorable moments out of it -- doesn't that raise the internal rating a little?} {At least for me, it comes down to seeing the series as creative cooking. We're hoping for new ingredients to get thrown into the recipe every time around, with all of it adding up to a fresh taste sensation for something we know almost always comes out with too much salt. No matter what the twists try to add (and subtract), the cast is always the primary flavor group. And this year, what we mostly got was rotten, toxic, well past its sell-by date, had a hollow noise when you rapped on the exterior, and had been thrown out of the dollar store for being underpriced and overvalued at the same time. It's still possible to get a moment or two of pleasure from that -- but how much time do you spend bringing it back up afterwards, when the sickness finally sets in? This is one of the most petty, vengeful, hubris-filled, and outright stupid groups I've ever seen. And somehow, they've managed to push all that beyond the point where it's funny. I'm not watching to see them get what they have coming to them. I'm watching to make sure they leave.} {Don't count on Corinne going anywhere: VH1's going to book her for at least twelve shows. And that's just as the sideline commentator.} {She's a little busy this month. After all, she has to stock the new Cabinet, get the stock market running again, artificially inflate gasoline prices, and then really get back to controlling the world. Those Oscar winners aren't going to pick themselves.} {So we finally had another idol transfer. Which worked. And it turned out to potentially be yet another bit of pointless vengeance in the name of losing yet another jury vote. Is Sugar the most perfect F2/3 jury partner ever? Because she can't talk -- not in the sense of convincing people to consider her actions from a strict game perspective. Not with this group. There's a lot of brat in her: either she gets everything her way or People Will Pay. The fact that the People can inflict Payback just hasn't sunk in.} {Offending the jury is pretty much an inevitable consequence of not being on it.} {But she goes out of her way to humiliate people. Sure, poking Randy was fun at the time, but... And now Crystal? What's she hoping for: get the vote at F5?} {*does the math* Still loses.} {It could have been an attempt to negate the tie -- or majority. How sure would you be of keeping that group together? Susie could scream 'Hot bath!' and dive into the fire pit at any moment.} {It doesn't feel right. That's my position and I'm sticking to it.} {I'll just keep hoping on Bob. I realize it's stupid. But he is a challenge whore. If he can just find the right street corner and sell himself two more times...} {I'm still trying to figure out just when that bow tie became sexy.} {Poor Ken. All the reading to get to the end of the manual, and then the game release was postponed to 2010.} {Maybe if he'd spent a little less time boasting about how good he was at manipulation and a little more looking for when it might be happening to him...} {If Matty wins tonight -- and I think he's got a good chance -- does he become the most perfectly forgettable Sole Survivor since Vecepia? Think about Matty's memorable moments, and you get the proposal. Try to come up with his notable game plays, and you get -- nothing. Early alliance, pfft (and his early started late). Any moves he might have been considering, twisted out of existence. Rode under the radar by not being a challenge threat -- a role somehow taken by Bob -- then had his rear saved because Sugar's emotional code bug choose that moment to go 404 and declare him as Evil Not Found, and got in position to move forward because Bob has to be dumped as a jury threat and after that, it's Anything Goes. The Matty, it does nothing -- except cash the check.} {Your entire reason for existence is to discomfort me, isn't it?} {That, and to find the really good Kool-Aid. Seriously, dude -- orange?} {Tradition!} {???} {(That was the color the last time we remotely considered it.)} {Corinne will be borrowing the Official Bitter Pill speech format. You're wondering who's followed the most lessons? Matty could have practiced making a fire as well, as Jiffy noted, they all should know how to make a fire if they are going to be on Survivor. And, btw, Bob had nothing to do with Sugar confiding that she was going to force the tie, it was an opportunity for him to advance his game, and he indeed capitalized on it, and more power to him!

Sure, Sugar should have been the odds on favorite, and probably was until the FTC, but she BLEW IT big time once she opened her mouth. I'm not certain whether she just doesn't do well speaking in front of people, or if she honestly didn't realize these jurors would like nothing more than to skewer her on her firey Survivor torch. Perhaps she was so shocked inside by Corrine's "I-wanna-be-the-new-Sue/Jerri/Jonny Fairplay-need-MY-15-minutes-of-reality-TV-fame-I'M-the-new-B*TCH-in-town" comment, that she just couldn't put a concise argument together over the mantra of "kill Corrine, kill Corrine, kill Corrine..." being chanted over and over in her head. (oops, I got her mantra and mine confused, not sure WHAT was going on in her head!) Obvioulsy I'm a Sugar fan, and really wanted her to win until I listened to her answers tonight. That's when I gave up and came here to find out who won so I could turn it off and go to sleep. Go Bob! Not only is he the oldest winner, and now the winner of the most $ on Survivor, but he did (most) of it with no more lies/devious behavior than anyone else, and quite probably the LEAST amount of anyone on the show to date. And with a snazzy little bow tie on 90% of the time!

Agreed, I thought Sugar played a much better game and was more deserving of the non-Bob votes than Susie - but she gave truly horrible answers to the jury questions and that knocked her out just like Amanda's pathetic jury answers knocked her out in both China and Fans v. Faves.

When Sugar was speaking during the show the last couple of episodes, it kept going through my mind she reminded me of a former Survivor, but I couldn't put my finger on who it was. Then it hit me last night - Colleen of S1 - Sugar has that little throaty kind of way of speaking that seems very reminiscent of Colleen. She is also very photogenic, especially when she gets all "dolled up" I hope she makes it in Hollywood.

One thing that surprised me, Sugar, the Survivor Game Player for this edition, didn't get a single vote.The final three ended up consisting of the most 'Under the Radar' player, the most dominating challenge player, and the player who played the best game of manipulation. In the past, the survivor who has played the best game has often won over the jury and the UTR player usually is discounted. There have been exceptions to both. But this time, the best player in the final three (In the game, for my money) didn't even get a single vote. Interesting. This time, the UTR almost wins, and the best manipulator doesn't get a single vote. The goals of her manipulations are suspect, she should have made better choices, but when she set out to achieve an end, she did a very good job. Corrine is just a vat of acid, and I agree with Estee, I suspect she will suffer socially for her actions, much like Haggie of BB. Randy wants us to take him as he is, if you get him you like him, and if you don't you wont. Suggesting that he can shrug off how his actions affect others. But the sole reason for his vote was based on the reaction of others to his ouster at his boot TC. Randy is a waste of skin. I saw no evidence of genius in Marcus. Wacky wacky game.

The questions from the jury were pretty disappointing this time, and Sugar basically tried to play the weepy willow I-never-got-a-vote card instead of standing up for herself, or maybe she just threw in the towel. But you know she'll be getting a better rate for topless photos after this, right!

I really do think that the winner should not be eligible for the $100K bonus prize...Bob should give that to Sugar, as He never would have won if she did not basically hand it to him.... I agree. I didn't like the way Jeff blew it off too. Corinne actually should be happy with her edit - they showed her to be entertainingly bitchy and not her really nasty side. I think Bob was hidden for the first half of the season because he didn't do anything to show. Both Marcus and Charlie (I think) said he slept a lot and just voted however they told him to!

Oddly (or not), Jeff is fine with talking about "are you satisfied with how you were portrayed" in the season, which is essentially editing, no? But use the internet/board speak/technical term and he shut it down in a not very nice way. But then he doesn't like Corinne one little bit and he may not have been so rude to someone else.
