It went something like this:After performing her song, she did the usual sit and chat with Ryan. At the end of the conversation, Ryan asked her to read the cue cards to take them into the break. Then she said something like, "Ryan, I am not a trained monkey like you are. Why don't you read your own cue cards." After the break, Ryan made a point of letting eveyone know that when she said it, she was actually reading the cue card, and held up the card. But I agree, I don't think she was voted off because of the comment. I think there were other factors in play.

It was that stupid skit they made her do. It went something like this:Ryan: Vanessa, why don't you read the card and lead us into commercial break? Vanessa: Ryan, I'm an artist, not a performing monkey like you! Why don't you read your own damn card? <audience gasp> Then after the commercial break Ryan announced to the audience and the viewing public that Vanessa was scripted to say that.

It was a dumb little bit.....I don't think it was the reason she was voted off for that. Not sure she was the worst but she really didn't do as well as some of the others...

I was bad to do though, out of all of us at work that's following the show, only two of us saw where Ryan explained. The rest said they would not have voted for her specifically because of that comment, until we explained it was a skit. So I do think it had something to do with it, as the public doesn't vote OFF but votes for the ones they like and I think that put alot of people off.
