The quest for the hidden Immunity Idols on Survivor Fiji will soon intensify. The third and last clue was retrieved by Sylvia during Episode 3 and future visitors to Exile Island will have all the information they need to unearth the sleeping idols.

It is often forgotten that before anything else, Survivor is a numbers game. While they did lose the good camp in the process, Ravu was essentially granted a do-over in Episode 1 because of the odd number of players. Moto has to make a monumental decision in Episode 4, the impact of which is more significant given Gary's departure from the game. After Episode 4 airs, for all their dominance in challenges, Moto will be on par with Ravu with seven players each.
As a result, the power of the hidden Immunity Idols will soon start to make its mark. Who finds the idols, and how they choose to play them, will change the course of the game in different ways.
Allies, Turncoats and Moles
Episode 3 of Survivor Fiji took great pains to edit Yau-Man noticing where Sylvia was digging for the Immunity Idol. As nicely spoiled by the CBS promos this week, Yau-Man is chosen to go to Exile Island in Episode 4. With clues in hand, Yau-Man will realize the need to ally with another player in order to unearth the idol. No great leap of the imagination for the man already shown to think outside the box.
Yau-Man and Earl, the only other person to have visited Exile Island and still playing the game, will compare notes and successfully join forces to search for the idol. As we noted previously, they will not find the idol before the tribal switch in Episode 6, but will realize that the clues must have applied to both camps, as Jeff Probst nicely pointed out in his pre-season Press Conference. An idol will emerge from its hidden spot.
Meanwhile, back at new Ravu, fresh off her stint at Exile Island following the tribal switch, Lisi will share her clues with the remaining members of the disintegrating Latin Alliance. Ironically, she will not get to benefit from the spoils.
A recent post on TV Grapevine created a lot of buzz after it was reposted elsewhere as a spoiler. Some of the information contained in it was already known, either by official news releases or previously released spoilers, while other tidbits are in direct contradiction to information we have received. Still, we can confirm, based on what we have heard, that Alex, Edgardo and Mookie do work together to find the idol. At Final 9, when Alex finds out he is the target at Tribal Council, they will decide to play to idol to protect Alex. Dre moles out Alex's plans to the opposing alliance, their votes are switched to Edgardo, making him the casualty of intrigue.
The first idol is now out of the game, but since Alex was not the intended boot, it did not alter the vote result at Tribal Council. Still, from what we have been told, we should expect the great hype of "The Most Dramatic Tribal Council in Survivor History" for this episode, since it has all the elements of great TV drama.
The Earl/Yau-Man idol alliance will be successful in more ways than one. The second idol played will have an impact on the vote at Tribal Council.
The last idol gets played late in the game. It does not change the vote at Tribal Council.
