Cross over pontoons to their puzzle station to drop pieces, then return to maze. The puzzles are different images. First person to complete puzzle wins immunity.Steph and Lydia have first pieces. Danni, Rafe. Rafe in the lead with 4 pieces, Steph, Danni all have 4. Rafe and Steph have 5, Lydia brings back 2 for 5. Danni has 5, Rafe has 6, Steph has 6. Danni has 6, Lydia is lost, Rafe coming back with final pieces, Steph right behind him. Rafe and Steph starting on their puzzles. Danni finds her last pair of pieces and starts her puzzle. Lydia finds her last piece. Rafe asks Jeff to check his puzzle. He is correct -- Rafe wins immunity.

Comments about how hard the challenge was. Rafe amazed to have immunity necklace again. Steph lobbying Rafe to take her to F2, he's the only person she may be able to win against. Steph thinks they should take Lydia to F3 challenge, she won't win. (IMHO, no way, F3 is always endurance and Lydia has a very low center of gravity.)Rafe says Lydia may be better strategy to take to F3, but he promised Danni. Danni realizes that promise may not hold up. Danni and Rafe are working on corn. Rafe suggests they check out the chicken carcas on the fire. Steph and Lydia do so and think it's edible, Lydia takes the opportunity to ask Steph to keep her around one more day. They decide to eat the chicken. Rafe isn't so sure about eating the chicken, he won't do it because it will violate the ritual he witnessed. (So, will all the women come down with food poisoning and, voila, Rafe wins the game?) It's pouring rain, huge storm, they wonder if they have angered the gods by eating the chicken.

Balance on wobbly platform as long as you can. The platform swivels 360 and is unstable. For first hour they may hold onto 2 ropes. After first hour may only hold onto 1 rope. After additional 30 minutes must release second rope.Rafe looks pretty steady. Steph seems to be testing the platform while she has rope to hold onto. One hour has elapsed, they must release one rope. Steph and Danni start to wobble, fall off their platforms but are saved by their rope, Rafe also. As long as their feet do not touch the ground they are okay. They all found a spot against a pole to lead against with their feet on the platform. One hour thirty minutes, release the rope. Hands may not touch the posts. Rafe adjusts his position and touches the post with his hand, is out of the challenge. He lost focus and didn't realize what he was doing. Steph looks uncomfortable, Danni looks pretty casual. (Danni has longer legs, will this challenge benefit her?) Steph is sinking lower and lower on the post, danni almost standing upright. Steph struggling to get more upright and falls. Danni wins final immunity. Steph is crying, Danni tells Steph she's the strongest girl she knows. Rafe tells Danni he releases her from any F2 promises, she can take whoever she wants.

It's a difficult position to be in, she's feeling a lot of pressure to vote out someone.Rafe still wants to go to F2, knows Danni wouldn't still be there except for him. He wants to continue competing against Steph. Jiffy asks if they regret, after weeks of booting out the strongest, just before F3 they vote out weakest. Want to go against the best. Rafe defends his releasing Danni from her promise. Danni says picking Rafe would be the right choice because he helped her get where she is. Steph would be the right choice because she's p*ssed off a lot of the jury. Steph says Rafe more likeable to the jury so she's a better choice. Rafe thinks they've p*ssed off the same people. Danni goes to vote. She returns and has her head in her hands. Jiffy reads the vote, and Rafe is voted out.

Steph points out that they are F2, the only names in yellow on merge flag. They go out to the pool to wash their clothes, take a quick swim and get a little sun. They're spending a lot of time complimenting each other on their game play.Back at camp, they are breaking down the shelter and 'sacrificing' the palm fronds to the Mayan gods. They arrive at Tribal Council, and the jury files in. Jiffy congratulates them on reaching F2. They will have opportunity to make opening statement, then jury questions, then closing statement. Danni first, honored to be in this position, was in minority after the merge. Surprised no one thought she was a threat. Played game the best she could, most honest she could. Steph, thanks everyone for making this an amazing experience for her, didn't think she would make it past first tribal council. Knows there are some upset with her, can't wait to talk with them and explain how she played.

Bobby Jon: Steph - knows the only reason he's on the jury is because of her. How proud is she of how she played the game? She's very proud, knows there are a couple people she back-stabbed, but played the best game she could. Danni - same question. Yes, she's proud, grateful to still be there, wished they had won more immunity challenges prior to merge.Gary second, he will judge his vote who gives most honest answer. Steph - why should he not vote for her? They made alliance first day, then were separated, and she voted against him after they were merged again. Danni same question, she was selfish and made an alliance with Rafe when already had one with Gary. Jamie: Danni, if she'd had numbers who would have been top 5? Bobby Jon, Gary, Brandon. Steph - Jamie wouldn't talk to people if he was voting them out, she would act their best friend, how does she think that will affect the jury? She didn't always know, she didn't feel comfortable telling people, hopes they would see she had good reasons for voting them. Lydia: Steph, I was loyal to you entire game, why did you vote me out? If she took Lydia to F2 she knew she could beat her, wanted to compete against the best. Danni - you told me you would take care of me, why should I vote for you? Danni did talk to her but sometimes you have to vote someone out, it's part of the game. Cindy. Danni, if you could take someone out of the jury who would it be. Rafe, he'll vote for Steph because they've had a bond from the beginning. Same question to Steph. She doesn't know, Bobby Jon because he was the first? Rafe, congratulations, you were like my sisters. Danni, you told me if you were F3 and had to choose between taking who I could beat and who deserves to win, I would take who deserves to win, yet you did the opposite, why? Danni says it was based on how hard Steph played final challenge. Steph, you dominated game in terms of strategy, what was your best strategic move you didn't share with me? Doesn't think there was one, he was the only person she told everything to. Judd, congratulations (to 'youse'). Asks Danni if she has ever ice skated or roller bladed. She says yes, he tells her she's a great skater because has skated through whole game. Asks Danni if she was deceitful? She says when Jamie asked who she was voting for and she told him Gary. Judd tells her sounds like she lied a lot and she should go straight to confession when returns home. Judd asks Steph if she's eaten enough, she was always starving, the only thing she should be starving for now is his vote. All she did in the whole game was backstab and lie. She crossed the line when she lied to his wife that they had strongest alliance. He makes her a promise and will stick to his promise. Steph tells Judd she didn't lie to his wife because at the time she said that they did have a strong alliance, wasn't planning to vote him out at that point.

I have to say, I think Steph was much better at answering the jury's questions & came off MUCH more honest . . . especially to Gary's question.Judd actually had a great question/remark to Danni -- loved the ice skating ref. He was too beligerent with Steph . . . She exposed yet ANOTHER Judd lie & he got flustered & slumped back to his seat. I really DIDN'T want a Steph win, until Danni made her lousy choice & Steph was much better at the final TC. So, my hope is Steph will win. Can't wait for closing remarks. I think Danni is coming across desperate & acting too guilty, Steph is owning up to what she did & is strong. So, go Steph!

Brings out some of worst qualities in people, doesn't make you a bad person, know I hurt people along the way and apologize, but came into the game with a plan to align with good people and try to always have numbers on my side. I never let anyone make decisions for me, had to take a leadership role in this game. I outwit, out played, outlasted and that's why I should win.Danni: game into merge at disadvantage, wanted to sit back and see who was in control of game, it was Steph and Rafe and they are why you are sitting there now. Like it or not she did last in the game of survivor b/c of the way she played the game while Danni floated by. Steph IMO deserved to win over Danni. Floating by and not playing the game it is meant to be played is an easy win. Not fighting for the win makes you Jenna.

For me, the primary goal from TC to TC is not to be the best, rather to not be the worst, not to get voted out.The primary goal in a general sense is to get to and be in the best possible position for the jury. I do not, and cannot, believe that their previous Survivor experience hindered Steph in anyway. I have to believed it helped her early in terms of strategy and celebrity, and as the game went on, she got her own identity. There are clearly MANY ways to get to the end. You can do the game where you turn on people (as Steph did), where you float by (as Danni did), a combination, or a completely different way (Tom from last season reminds me of that, or Brian from Thailand). Sometimes the best way for an animal to get his food is to let the two more dominant animals kill each other and pick their carcasses. Maybe to you a passive game isn't a real strategy, and that is fine, you have the right to an opinion and it's valid. However, sometimes the ones to survive in life are the opportunists, the one not to take risks and not to upset people. In a game of popularity and human relations, there are many ways to win. However, over 11 seasons, a prevailing them is that personal relations will inevitably win over aggressive strategy that involved betrayal. Matthew likely played a better, strategical game in the Amazon, but Jenna did not do anything to hinder people voting for her. Sandra was similar, she got lucky to be paired with a horribly inept F2 partner, but I digress. Sometimes, the coattails will pull you farther than your own efforts will.

Point taken. However, a few observations.Richard had control of S1 because no one else at that point had figured out the game the way he had. Tina was the actual control of S2, though she was careful to exercise her control mainly over Colby and allow him the spotlight as much as possible. Lex would almost certainly have won S3 had he made F2 against Mama Kim or Tom, but he probably wouldn't have beaten Ethan in any event. In S4 Kathy took control from John and her position remained threatened throughout as she had no buddy in the game, though I expect she would have won had she made F2. Brian who had control of S5 still had to take the biggest F2 goat in Survivor history, lazy and disgusting Clay, along for the ride. Granted, he might have won against Crazy Jan as well, but Helen would have given him a run for the money had he not stabbed her in the back. Cesternino screwed up in S6 by keeping Jenna and getting rid of hairbrained Heidi, it should have been the other way around. Almost anyone could have won S7 against Lillian at F2, the whole Ghost Tribe thing was the biggest jump the shark move ever made in Survivor history and it ruined the rest of the game. Mariano should have won S8 but the other All-Stars were so full of themselves they couldn't admit they'd been beaten by a better player. I was really rooting for Twila at the end of S9, but Chris had beaten long odds just to get to F4. Tom was almost too good to be real. As for S11, had Rafe made F2 I suspect the editing would have shown he had as much if not more control over the game than Stephenie. He totally screwed up at the end or he might have won regardless of who he faced at F2.
