Tom and Caryn are discussing taking out Jenn then Katie. Jenn is talking to Ian and Katie about taking out Tom, Ian doesn't want to go back on his word, he wants to take out Caryn. Tom is concerned about the women's alliance voting out one of the guys. Tom is trying to convince Caryn she'll go to final three if he votes with them.
Tree Mail for Reward Challenge: Up the Creek Again. Tom and Ian read Tree Mail. The reward involves taking another person with them. Tom and Ian realize they cannot take each other and discuss who they would take, who should they leave with the rest of the tribe.
Reward Challenge: Jiffy shows them a bright red Corvette as reward. Using Palaun rafts, paddle across to pontoons which have 5 colored bags, collect your colored bags one at a time and bring back to beach. Bags contain mile markers. Match the markers with the correct cities based on how far from Palau to win. Winner will drive the car to the resort for a barbeque.
Tom is out first, Ian close behind, Katie, Jenn, Caryn. Ian first back to beach, Tom, Jenn. Ian and Tom have big lead. Ian, Tom back with 2nd bag. Ian, Tom get 3rd bag. Jenn 2nd bag, Ian and Tom 3rd, Caryn with 1, Katie 2, Jenn back with 3rd. Ian has 4 and heading back. Tom tosses bag but misses. Ian has 5th bag and heading back to shore. Tom has 5th bag and heading back. Ian has bags and starts to put up markers. Tom back with 5th bag as Ian hangs his markers. Ian has markers correct and wins reward.
Ian will drive car to mansion for a feast and can take 1 person with him. Ian says he promised to take Tom on a car challenge. He told Katie he would take her but can't break his promise to Tom. Tom looks like he wants to shoot Ian.
Bad move, Ian, bad move. Remember Gregg's reward trip?

I sort of liked it, it had a M*A*S*H 4077th/Price is Right's the RACE GAME feel to it when they had to correctly place mileage to the different cities...I wish they had brought the RACE GAME lever and Ian could have run over and found out how many he had right!!!

The Race Game is the one where they have to guess the items of four items (like flatware, a chair, a grandfather clock, etc.) and then proceed to pull the lever on that machine to tell them if they have 0-4 right? That's a fun game.
Heh, reminds me of that Family Guy episode where Peter was on Survivor in a flashback, he tripped, and the set fell down to reveal Bob Barker and the big wheel.

Ian and Tom drive up to the mansion. Ian has never had a car before (so a Corvette is a starter?). They have an amazing spread waiting for them – fruit, cheese, wine, sausages. T/I discuss bringing Katie back in to the fold and take her to the end.
The girls are back at camp. Katie tells Caryn that Ian promised to take her if he won and he turns around and picked Tom and she feels like she lost her best friend. She brings up fact that the women should have worked together when Stephenie was still there. Katie tells Jenn and Caryn that Tom and Ian promised to take her to final three. The women agree to take out whichever guy doesn’t win immunity. Caryn isn’t sure she will ultimately go along with the plan. Katie and Jenn are ready for it.
Tom and Ian return, Ian goes to talk with Katie, Caryn catches them before Ian goes off to ask them about what Katie told her. Is it you, me, Tom or you, Tom and Katie. Ian fumbles but says Caryn but says he won’t decide until later. Tom tells Ian he just screwed up and revealed his vote to Caryn.
Ian tries to get Katie to talk with him, she won’t talk. The women are talking, Ian is freaking out, it’s like a bomb has gone off. Ian finally convinces Katie to talk with him. Ian tries to tell her he took Tom because they were left out of the previous reward trip. Katie tells him she lost her best friend and she can’t believe anything he says. She’s crying, Ian’s upset and crying, they are acting like a high school couple having a fight in the lunchroom. He makes a joke and Katie laughs and they share a hug and he promises not to be stupid again. (Ah, I guess she’ll wear his letter jacket again.)

Day 36: Tom and Caryn are walking and talking to get Tree Mail. Tom asks whether Katie really that upset or just her way to get out of an alliance. Tom asks who brought up women’s alliance and Caryn can’t remember. Tom asks who is going first, Caryn says it’s still up in the air. Caryn says the guys are worried now and scrambling. Tom is aware the weakest member of an alliance is suspicious to swing, he tells her his and Ian’s game depends entirely on her. She doesn’t like Tom’s attitude when he talks with her. Tom tells Ian that Katie isn’t with them, she’s playing him, she’s been waiting for the opportunity to take them out, they only way is to threaten her for protecting her early on. Ian is talking about taking Tom out, his attitude has changed.
Immunity challenge: make way across wobbly bridge, pontoons in the water, bridge, to memory puzzle grid. Once you feel you have it memorized, return to your blank memory puzzle and start putting pieces in the correct place. If you fall off must start that segment from start. Each puzzle is unique, so peeking won’t help.
Caryn, Katie fall. Ian, Tom Jenn are across. Tom first to head back, Ian close behind. Jenn still studying. Tom start his puzzle, Ian starts. Tom puts first row together and heads back to look at master. Jenn starts her puzzle, Ian back for 2nd time, Caryn back, Tom back for 2nd time, Jenn putting her entire puzzle together. Ian heads back for 3rd look, Tom also. Ian back at his puzzle, Tom falls, Ian asks for Jiffy but is wrong, Tom falls again but not off. Tom asks for Jiffy, he’s wrong. Ian heads back, Tom behind him. Ian calls Jiffy, he’s wrong. Tom is back working on puzzle, Jenn working hers. Tom calls Jiffy, he’s right. Tom wins immunity.

Tom got lucky, knew he had to win immunity. If the women’s alliance holds and Ian is gone, he’s done everything he could and he must continue to win immunity as long as he can. Katie and Ian are talking, Ian was stupid not to stay true to her, Katie always wanted to take out Caryn. Caryn says Katie holds all the cards, she can send either Caryn or Jenn home. (personally, Jenn appears to be a bigger challenge threat based on today’s events, she was second the guys on both challenges).
Tribal council. Jury comes in (Stephenie is HOT). Katie talks about how hurt her feelings were that Ian took Tom on the reward. Ian says biggest mistake he’s made, not just from game standpoint but from friendship. Caryn says Katie and Ian’s fight was a revelation, she’s revealing the entire strategy discussion between her, Tom and Ian. Katie and Jenn are astounded. Jiffy says she opened the vault and put everyone on notice. Caryn doesn’t care, she wants the jury to know what’s going on. Ian and Tom start defending themselves. Everyone’s throwing accusations now, Caryn’s getting upset. Coby is giggling. They’re spending a lot of time arguing about what happened before last week’s Tribal Council and everyone is getting p!ssed off.
Time to vote. Ian votes Caryn, can’t wait for her to go home. Jenn’s vote not shown. Caryn votes Ian. Katie’s vote not shown.
Time to tally the votes: Ian, Caryn, Caryn, 14th person voted out of Survivor Palau is Caryn.

I though the whole episode was great, too. No one was sure what anyone else was gonna do. And, ironically after last week, Jenn was probably the safest one there.
This is exactly the kind of agitation we want to see at this point in the game, and almost never get.
Tom's blackmail move on Katie, telling her that if she flipped and then the remaining guy won immunity she'd be gone, was another brilliant play. Tom really knows what he's doing. Can't say the same for anyone else, even Ian, sadly.

Wow, I'm a tad surprised Jenn voted Caryn. I loved tribal council too, although I don't think Caryn lied, exactly. Tom did tell her it was her, him and Ian to the final three. Just not at the same time, but Caryn seems clueless about conversations - like telling Tom "I'm not sure who brought it up." about the girls alliance. Just tell him it was Katie, dummy!
