True, my life started almost 31 years ago (June 10th, hint, hint!), but my simple, almost 4 year old existance didn't mean anything until you were born! I rememeber when Daddy and Virgil snuck me and little Virgil into Mommy's room to see you. The nurse was a nasty beyotch, which forced my dad into being a criminal! Anyways, when I rounded the corner, opened the door, I saw you. So tiny, beautful, and perfect! Yeah right, you were all that until I was the one having to hold your bottle while our Mom made dinner, or taking your stinking diapers to the toilet to be washed out! Heehee! We've been inseperable ever since, though. We've had a rather rocky childhood that turned even rougher in our teen years, but we weathered it....together! Now, as mothers ourselves, seeing our children playing, connecting, forming that same bond we did......is simply amazing! Happy birthday to the best sister and friend I, or anyone, could ever hope to have! I love you, Roon! Looking at you now, I see that tiny, beautiful, perfect baby all grown up into my hero that everybody here calls, Femme! Thanks, Wendy, for starting this! And say Happy Birthday to your sweet little girl!

Awwwww! You guys are the best. Wendy, you are a doll, thank you for thinking of me; that's the sweetest. And thank you everyone else for the wonderful wishes.The birthday gods had it in for me today, I think. First, we took the kids in Picture People to have their pictures taken, and I had all the Mom's day cards we are going to send out in-hand. Of course, I was pushing the limits of our postal service by not having mailed them yet, but I was bound and determined to send pictures in all the grandma's (and Sister's) cards. So, of course PP's printer broke down (dern my luck) and now I have a bunch of cards that are going to be late and without photos to boot. Then, we went to the movies and saw "Phone Booth." Now, to give you an idea, my husband and I NEVER use sitters (We don't know anyone who babysits out here that we actually trust.) and the last time we used one was in July of last year. We haven't been to a movie together in ages. Well, the movie sucked. Absolutely and completely sucked. But we still had a blast, especially because we got to make fun of whoever must have written this piece of poo the whole way home. It was just nice to be out together sans children. But, even though it seems like everything was going badly (did I mention I just played a card game with my husband and he didn't even let me win???) I still had a fun (and slightly comical) day. Thanks to all who remembered me. You are all my favorites. And, happy birthday little wendyp jr. 5! Now that's a big year!
