One more set of hamsters returns to the house! But no word yet on casting...http://tv.zap2it.com/news/tvnewsdaily.html?26213 'Big Brother 3' in the House July 10 Thu, May 30, 2002 01:43 PM PDT LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - CBS will send 12 more people into isolation this July, when the third installment of its unscripted series "Big Brother" premieres. "Big Brother 3" will air three times a week -- Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday -- beginning with its debut on Wednesday, July 10. Wednesday and Saturday episodes will offer taped recaps of what's gone on in the house in previous days, with players being nominated for eviction on Saturdays. Thursday episodes will air live and feature the eviction of a player. CBS "Early Show" news anchor Julie Chen will again serve as host of the live broadcasts. The rules are similar to past editions of the game -- no contact with the outside world, the winner gets $500,000 -- but executive producer Arnold Shapiro promises some new wrinkles. "The new house guests may think they know how to play the game, but they are going to be in for some unexpected twists and turns once they are in the house," Shapiro says.

Thanks for the great find AyaK--you da man! Hmmm... so Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. I kind of wish that the Wednesday episode was on Monday instead so the shows could be a little more spread out along the week. Oh well I guess we still have The Mole on Tuesday nights to have something to watch at the beginning of the week.

>"Big Brother 3" will air three >times a week -- Wednesday, >Thursday and Saturday -- beginning >with its debut on Wednesday, >July 10. 3 times in 4 days? That seems a bit much... I understand they don't want to break up their "successful block of Monday night comedies" (at least that's what they called them when they announced they were launching TAR2 in a Monday 10PM special timeslot) but skipping both Monday and Tuesday seems a bit much. ...is the show going to air at 8PM or 9PM? I believe last season it was 9PM, wasn't it? I can understand not wanting to pre-empt Tuesday's JAG, but is The Guardian that big a 9PM hit? (last I checked I thought Tuesday's @ 9PM was one of the most competitive timeslots out there -- Frasier, Smallvile, 24, the dearly departed Roswell, etc.) -SB

>>"Big Brother 3" will air three >>times a week -- Wednesday, >>Thursday and Saturday -- beginning >>with its debut on Wednesday, >>July 10. > >3 times in 4 days? One of the biggest complaints that producers recieved about last season was the way that the show was edited. With a live show on Thursday, there was not enough time to show hte goings-on in the house on Tues and Wed (as contestants who had been nominated made final pleas for their lives). The producers decided that it would make for a better format to have two bi-weekly episodes (Wed and Sat), and a live episode that consisted of the boot, interviews, and HoH challenge with little to no daily-event recap necessary. Thus, the Ep on Wednesday serves to update the viewers about what's happening in the house, and then the episode on Thurs will summarize any last ditch efforts to survive, then will immediately launch into the live portion of the show. Remember that, unlike the original, they edit each ep a day in advance now, so having an episode on Tuesday would mean that Thursday's episode would have to cover everything that happened in the house on Tues, Wed, AND Thurs morning, and would then have to show the live portion... they're trying to avoid that this season. ...as for the casting... I just went back and looked at the original application, which reads "you must be available to travel to Los Angeles in late May or early June for the final round of interviews" ... in other words no even the producers know the cast yet.
You never know what might be up my sleeeve...

What's important to me is if they cast hot guys as I'm sure they will, please make sure they don't SMOKE!!!!!It made me sick to see Hardy working out one minute and smoking the next. SO leave the cigarettes at home!!!!!Hot Guys Yes!!!! Chimneys!!!!!!

Maybe they will have to draw rocks to see who sleeps in the sleeping bag used by Kent in BB2. --I don't care how much prize money they get; nothing is worth that!

Maybe they'll let the Survivors come back and humiliate them again.......I'm sure Sarah wouldn't mind getting back on TV to show off more.
