GetBy_er 63 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Hollywood Squares Square" 08-28-00, 04:08 PM (EST) "Kelly's Panhandling - er, Fund" I needed an insulin shot after reading Stacy Simmons's 'A Buck for Kelly' plea. Puhleaaaaaaazzeeeeeeeeeee. Has anybody else noticed that most of the tribe and especially the ETA folks are saying that there is *a lot* of Kelly's antics that weren't shown. Rudy made one comment on VH1 about understanding Sue's remarks. I'm hopeful that the book will layout our friend Kelly's machinations. Rather than sending in a dollar: You can call the Kelly's fund people direct at:1-800-488-RAFT and talk to them, preferably at some length, about the virtues of donating a dollar to Kelly. or, maybe a quarter each to the Pagong tribe that Kelly laid waste to by helping to deny the ETA, or how about 50 cents to Sean to help pay for the cost of that medical education, hey! how about a dollar for Rudy because Kelly's vote was the fatal one to him..... Sue could stand some healing too.... oh! wait, it was a game show....   Top

My envelope with TWO dollars in it is in the mail as we speak (an extra dollar because I live in Wisconsin.) I doubt this is a case Kelly panhandling. Can you imagine Kelly going to her work place asking them to put up a bogus letter on their web-site asking everyone for a $1 pitty-ance? If someone set up a campaign like this for you, would you stop it? ("Ummm... interesting Question" as Hatch would say.) I totally related to that letter written by that Stacy Simmons. Sue's speech just about did me in myself, and because it is Reality TV I myself have felt the need to take action in the last week. I have even wrote a letter to Reebok in response to rumors I heard that Susan Hawk would be doing a commercial with them. Can you imagine a woman so stuck in poor sportsmanship doing a commercial for sportswear?? The main reason why I did send the $2 was because A) it didn't cut a huge hole in my pocket book. and B) Sue's speech really did effect me very much that I DO want to send a kind messege to Kelly. I don't care what Kelly did! I've seen Sue's little "reflection" on how she thinks Kelly betrayed her, and I still don't believe Kelly deserved that spew of words at all! Kelly lied just like Sue was playing the dumb little red-neck to Rich. So, what's the difference? Ahhh, I digress. I sent the money. You're going to brand me a looser, but that's okay. So, Kelly already has $100,000. I'm sure all the money in the world is not going to make up for all probes into her past, and critisism into her character.   Top

And, as you know, I don't think Kelly is one either, despite her youthful mistakes. But still, I wouldn't contribute to her. I agree that Kelly probably did not set up this campaign, but if someone set up a campaign like this for me, I would stop it... or at least, donate the money to someone who needed it more (without taking receipt of the money, so I wouldn't be taxed on it). As the Beatles would say, "money can't buy you love," but doing something nice with this money could buy you respect.   Top

"RE: In the mail" AT first,i too felt pangs of anguish for Ms.wiglesworth.Soozin "the butch"or is it 'the Bitch"Hawk's speech was most cruel,although a bit too over the top to take too seriously.But on further reflection,such feelings are unwarranted. Firstly,Kelly will be on "talk Soup" tonite. I'm sure she and the talk soup writer's will be "taking the piss" out of the survivor series in general,and soozie's speech in particular.Kell's Bells will get over it. Secondly,that speech was the best thing that happened to Kelly in the whole show in a public relations sense.Look at all the sympathy it has generated for her. thirdly,Kelly already has won a 100k.A figure she should easily double with endorsements for outdoorsy stuff like gear,kayaks, trail mix,etc.Also her whitewater rafting tour fee will skyrocket as customers will pay top dollar for an expedition with America's most/only famous whitewater rafting guide.Send your dollars and rubles and pesos to unicef or Oxfam will ya. And actually I am a bit of a Kell's bells fan.   Top

If you really want to send her money, send it in care of CBS. You really have no idea who is the person recieving the money on the other end is. It could very well be Kelly, I have no idea. I'm just saying that if you send it in care of CBS, you know she will recieve it. It's one thing for a sight to say, hey show your support and write a note to her, entirely another to send money.
