As a first time player, I think it would be hard to say. Going in, I would totally say I'm going to approach it as a game, make alliances and not friendships, say things that were untrue but within the context of the game and not make it personal. But it's hard to say what one ends up doing when they are in those elements, hungry, dirty and being around people who may get on your nerves. Rob had the advantage definitely of how to handle the elements and maybe even the hunger (he came out much heavier and obviously packed on the fat on purpose), but the people you get on your tribe is the wild card..so you don't know if you end up really bonding with someone, and that part I think would make it hard for me to not be myself. Rob was able to separate the friendshp he made with Grant and the game; Grant being a newbie was not.
