Thanks, BebeKid, for reminding me this is a weird week. My brain is fried, for reasons explained after the rules. The Rules 1. Please put the name of your choice for this week's bootee IN THE SUBJECT HEADING! This is really easy. Just erase the bit where it says "Re: SurvivorBlows Tribe, It's Time to Vote!" and replace with your vote, i.e., Alicia. This makes it easier to tally votes quickly and accurately. Oh, and btw... nicknames are tougher to tally unless they're REALLY obvious without actually reading your vote. 2. Reply ONLY to this post! Curves on women are good. Curves on vote threads are bad. The first part bears repeating: I like curves on women. Y'know, I'm not sure if I've been clear enough about this. Curves on women are really great things. EXCEPTION TO RULE 2! VOTE CHANGES! Spoilers have Jerri and Ethan as teh next two to go so its one of the two. The way JP/MB played up Lex's decision to get rid of Colby and the assumption that there will be a merge lead me to believe that merge or no merge, MogoMogo is going to tribal council alone. I believe that Ethan's hissy fit will come once he is in the same tribe as Rob..so Ethan is safe for at least one more episode. Jerri's editing suggests that her story is done....she already accomplished her goal and since she was set up as the misdirectinal boot last week you know that means that she is squarely on the chopping block this week. Just look at this tribe so far. When Richard was voted out, Colby was portrayed as the misdirectional boot...and guess who went next for MM? Same thing last week with Jerri. My guess is Lex will realize his mistake, scramble to keep his tribe strong and save Ethan instead of Jerri. Plus, saving Ethan makes sense for Lex since he has to know that without Ehtan he enters the merge as target #1 for the pagonging. The only thing that gives me pause is JP's crisis mode quote, although I seem to remember the last time I relied heavily on a JP quote I learned a valuable lesson that although Lis may in fact kick butt in Survivor that doesn't mean she kicks butt at challenges. Lesson learned, good bye Jerri. Have fun at the lodge with the cowboy. Edited to say damn you IAmHe, I wanted to be first!   Top

Since Jerri was instrumental in the plan to take out Colby, I don't think there's any reason for Lex to turn on her yet, while Ethan was odd man out last week, despite the fact that he and Lex previously teamed up in Africa. I think the merge is coming, either this week or the beginning of next, and Lex will be sure to recall Ethan's ability to win individual challenges, and won't necessarily want to keep him around for the merge. Plus, I don't necessarily believe that Ethan's hissy fit comes at the hands of the Robfather (although it would be pretty entertaining if it did), and it seems to me that enough has already happened for Ethan to flip-out. He's been a target for a while due to his winner status, he was just totally blind-sided at the last TC, he no longer has an alliance partner, and he's already been shown as pouty when others out-fish or out-play him. I think he's ready to blow, and will this week when the Mogos lose another IC and he learns he's next on the chopping block. Bye, Ethan!   Top

"Jerri" MB will punish Mogo Mogo for voting out a strong, popular player by using an Immunity Challenge that plays to Chappys strength IE. a physical instead of a mental challenge. - So Mogo Mogo is my candidate for TC. Mogo Mogo won't get rid of Lex or Kathy because between the 2 of them, they are driving the bus at Mogo Mogo, and they are currently in an alliance together. Mogo Mogo won't get rid of Shi or Ethan because Shi is the 3rd leg in Kathys alliance, and Ethan is the 3rd leg in Lex's alliance. That leaves Jerri as an easy choice for the boot. Lex and Kathy won't give Jerri a chance to align with Amber when they merge.   Top

However, the vidcaps show two distinct team challenges, once again recycled from previous series, confirming the merge will not take place in EP8. (The SNN “Spy Report” had also previously reported the merge will take place at the point when 10 contestants remain.) Chapera Wins Immunity The challenge vidcaps are inconclusive as to which tribe wins Immunity this week, but Snewers Scorecard, Orangeena’s list, and the Varner Reports are all in agreement that Ethan and Jerri do not make the jury. Since there are only two pre-jury spots left, this week’s boot decision is between two members of Mogo Mogo. Chapera must win Immunity. Kathy’s Back Last week we saw Kathy and Shii Ann together, whispering and laughing about Jerri and discussing their dislike for her. Jerri’s head was on the chopping block, but plans changed when Kathy was selected to go with the Chapera...this week Kathy is back, Jerri is still disliked, and the the threat of Colby has been eliminated. Last week there were two votes for Jerri…with Kathy back it should be at least three. Lex Needs a Shield Faced with another trip to TC and the realization that Mogo Mogo will go into the merge down 6-4, Lex will have no choice but to take his old ally Ethan with him into the merge as a shield. Ethan represents a challenge threat and without him around Lex becomes Chapera’s primary target. Lex must keep Ethan over Jerri if he is to survive post-merge. Jerri’s the outcast Lex has an alliance with Kathy and Shii Ann and will keep Ethan as his shield. That leaves Jerri as the outcast. The vidcaps from the Mogo Mogo camp show her sitting off by herself, confirming her status as the outsider. Colby on the Early Show During his appearance Colby mentioned that Ethan was the only one who didn’t vote for him and suggested it was an indication that Ethan might go next…misdirection that Ethan is safe this week. CBS Website The CBS teaser attempts to misdirect as it describes the likely Trbal Council voting options this week… “Ethan feels blindsided by Mogo Mogo's Tribal Council decision, but Jerri is thrilled and enjoys a chance to gloat” Ethan is described as vulnerable and insecure, while Jerri is thrilled and confident…foreshadowing the irony of TC when the tables are turned on Jerri. Rob and Ethan We've heard all the rumors and seen all the foreshadowing, but have yet to see any signs of the much anticipated events involving interaction between Rob and Ethan. The "love triangle", the "Diva hissy fit",and the revealing of skeletons in the closet...these all sound like post merge events, after Rob and Ethan find themselves face to face on the same tribe...probably EP10. Ethan can't go anywhere yet. Zen and Jerri Jerri’s Zen-like approach to the game needs a little more work… Krautboy   Top

I still hearken back to the days of the Outback when she got voted out. It was a happy moment, and was an event myself and others had hoped for. But the show lost any good tension and all that. It just turned into the Colby show from then on. I want her gone so Boston Rob gets a chance to tear into EZ at the merge. I'm hoping that it comes closer to blows then Shawn and FP. So this is a "Can't be Ethan" vote.   Top

"Jerri" LAST EDITED ON 03-16-04 AT 03:52 PM (EST) As Shakes and KB said, it's between Ethan and Jerri this week and they've given solid logic as to why it should be Jerri. I'll add this: in Ep 1's TC, Jeff grilled Jenna about her plan to vote out the winners first, questioning whether this was a sound strategy. It held for Ep 1, when Tina got kicked out, but by F2's TC, there were clearly second thoughts about this tactic, and Ethan was saved instead of Rudy. I see the same type of switch-up happening this week. Last week Jeff grilled Lex about his reasons for voting out the strong at this point because Lex was concerned about an imminent merge. In a replay of Ep 2, Lex will have rethought his plan, and Ethan will be saved once again, this time in lieu of Jerri. Ethan throws a hissy the whole episode (just like Alicia told Varner he would), Chapera loses IC (maybe on purpose to protect Rupe and boot a new Mogo?) and boots him. See YA! Or... 2. Tribes compete in IC with the current members and Mogo loses. Ethan, locked out of the Colby boot, is still on the outside looking in despite the preview vidcaps of Jerri sitting apart from the group of four. Following the ambassadors visits, Lex is more convinced than ever that a merge is imminent and, just like with Colby, targets an individual IC threat. It also fits in with my personal facetime theory since E disappeared last week as Jerri took front and center as the boot target. This week, Jerri is invisible (or less visible) before her boot in E9. Easy, really. Ethan goes either way!   Top
