"RE: CBS Website Misdirection" Well excuse me,,, I've read the board,, I didn't see it, and this is big board man , so I posted with a disclaimer,, and still,, geez,, ( deep sigh ) OK ,, AGAIN IN ENGLISH ( for the challenged out there) The cbs website has some misdirection on it. Contestant Pictures are missing - classic MB misdirection. - see sucks board for this info. Further more, in the HTML code of the player page on CBS we see more misdirection. (I hope I don't have to explain what HTML is) The CBS webmasters have put in a commented out section of text on the players page - A commented out section is one that will not show up on the page when viewed. The code starts <!-- and ends with // --> This particular commented section is the next row in the table that displays the BOOTED players. This Commented Out section has a link to LEX"S picture in it. This "accidental" web mistake appears to be no mistake but a bit of misdirection on CBS's part. someone (MB) wanted the spoiler folks to find this and think that LEX is next, but I believe this is misdirection,,, Is that clear enough? (btw,, I posted a snipet of the code in case it got changed - sorry to bother ya)   Top

I have no idea how to read HTML or even really it's basis in language. Nor do I need to have you explain. But just for us lay, it is appreciated that you tried to "dumb" it down for us. Interesting that Lex is next, at least according to MB. You are right in your assumption that this is probably mis-direction. I urge you to keep looking for these little mix up's. "RE: CBS Website Misdirection" ditto tribe. it didn't make sense to me at first either - i thought (s)he was talking about the Misdirection thread that gets posted every week. but this is interesting, even if it is only misdirection...i think there may have been a series in the past where there was a "spoiler" (i think it also was misdirection) in the source code...maybe we're getting All-Star misdirection as well as players this season another thanks for dumbing it down for us   Top

I agree 100% that this is no accident and part of MB's misdirection he is trying to throw at the spoiling community. This is something that he wouldn't have to worry about his general public stumbling upon since to view the source code you have to want to do just that. But they did it like 2 days in advance? I'm wondering if that is the reason for the misdirection? Granted, they were handing us the boots last season b/c of it. Maybe it's planted as misdirection BECAUSE of the goof ups of last season. You think? 1. MB knows we look 2. He was probably PO'd b/c they webmasters screwed up last season 3. But they did it like 2 days in advance? Mr411 claimed (on Sucks) that this had been going on for several weeks right before Ep 6, when Trish was booted. I don't think anyone else had noticed it though. And I don't believe it continued after that. As Webby and others pointed out at the time, there was no technical reason why they would have had to take down the page two days early, so if this *was* occurring, it was probably due to a lax maintenance procedure. The site was rife with other errors for the entire run of S7.   Top

"RE: CBS Website Misdirection" Hi BR I followed up on MR411 info about the activities disappearing in the middle of PI. I didnt see Trish's stuff missing but I did check on Shawn and Andrews Boots and MR411 was spot on these came up with no details just before their boots. Osten's boot/quit between them did not do this. This stopped happening after Andrews boot. Cheers crayZoZ   Top
