1. "RE: New Varner Report"
It's not a repeat. Good find, money. Here are the "spoilerish" (maybe?) parts:

As the first episode approaches, I thought I'd tease you a bit. You all seem to like that. Over the course of the next 13 weeks or so, here's a little bit of what you'll see that you probably didn't know.

STAR TREATMENT
I've seen a clip of the opening of the show. This time, don't look for intense dramatic suffering as the contestant battle their way to their camps. Stars don't suffer, right? There has to be perks. Look for a simple, yet very dramatically edited military escort to their new home. This time, they are escorted, not stranded. Look for a red carpet beginning to the worst suffering of their lives.

WELCOME TO THE GHETTO
The Survivors were asked to jump off a boat about five feet from their island. No taxing journey to the new home for this group. They arrive, however, in ghetto fashion--ONE machete and ONE pot per tribe. No food. No water. No fire. No tools. No rope. Nothing! And it stayed this way, for some of them, for more than three days.

I QUIT! ME TOO!
Inside sources tell me that Jenna Morasca leaves the game fairly early due to her mother's death. This has been widely reported. However these same sources NOW tell me that Jenna is not the only one. There is a second contestant that reaches the boiling point, throws up their hands and angrily leaves the game. The situation that produces this exit will get strong emotional reactions from everyone watching. I'm told it changes the game, therefore something that can't hit the cutting room floor. They have to show it. I'm slobbering waiting for this episode! You should be too. You'll never believe who leaves and what causes them to leave. NEVER! I could tell you, but I'd never spoil it for you!

FIRE IN THE HOLE
Rumor has it "The King" gets busted smuggling matches. How, you ask? The answer: in a container shoved up his bum. We'll have to wait and see if this is true. But I'm told his tribe works diligently for a long time to get a fire started, only to fail. While no one is looking, King Richard squats by the soon-to-be fire spot and "POOF," flames in an instant! This launches two contestants into a hunt for matches, which they eventually find! How it plays out is a mystery, but from what I hear, it's quite a dramatic moment.

FASHION STATEMENT
After arriving at the holding area, just prior to beginning, production went into the contestants' rooms and hand-selected what each Survivor would wear in the game based on what they brought along. All their belongings were taken away. Some people were allowed long sleeves and long pants. Others were only given tank tops and shorts to wear. Imagine the tension this caused on the frequently COLD, COLD, COLD nights! It's tough to sleep freezing next to someone who's warm.

HOME SWEET HOME
Once again contestant loved ones make the journey to the Survivor set to participate in a challenge. After arriving, one popular Survivor's loved one was promptly sent home, I hear. Tough way to learn your favorite Survivor was voted off the night before, huh? The loved ones were apparently grilled about their ability to run, swim and dive prior to arriving. I'm anticipating family members fighting for their loved ones' immunity, in a very physical challenge. But this info is sketchy, so I could be wrong.

PRETTY BOY POUT
I've been told to look for a major pissy diva temper tantrum thrown by Africa winner Ethan Zohn. I'm told he will be very embarrassed at his behavior when America sees it.

CAMERA SHY?
I doubt it. Sources tell me "The Colbster" played the role of loner, avoiding the cameras and keeping to himself. I'm told, like others out there, his heart just wasn't in it. Was it that, or a concerted effort to avoid another layer of "reality stigma." Whatever the case, for those contestants that were rejected and would have killed for a spot, casting people who's heart wasn't into it sucks.

THE NEW SURVIVOR WEAPON
History! This game was not meant to be played by people who know each other, apparently. All of these contestants (from their games or from their out-of-game relationships) have a ton of baggage and history with one another. This dirt becomes very public as the contestants use it in order to disarm their threats. Look for the Robfather to continue his strategy of "creating loyalty through fear." I'm told his strategy was to rummage through potential contestant closets, find their skeletons and store them in his back pocket, ready for war. Though not the only one, he crossed the ethical line the most.

Sources inform me that in this game of Survivor, the contestants will be divided between those who truly want the money and play intelligently to get it, and an opposing camp of Survivors playing to the camera, with the money secondary. It's agenda vs. strategy in this group. And something tells me, strategy wins out!

For some strange reason, it seems the buzz I'm hearing points to all-star Survivors NOT looking forward to the airing of this show. Many of them want it aired and over. That tells me this is good.

------------------------------

Someone ELSE quits??!! I am thinking: Richard or Susan. Or is this the Ethan hissy fit?

Sometimes, misreading is funnier than reading. Case in point, I thought I read: "While no one is looking, King Richard squats by the soon-to-be fire spot and 'POOF,' flames in an instant! This launches two contestants into a hunt for matches, which they eventually find! How it plays out is a mystery, but from what I hear, it's quite a dramatic movement."

Beyond that, more suggestion that the "spear" isn't a spear or if it is, it didn't arrive with them on day 1. "They arrive, however, in ghetto fashion--ONE machete and ONE pot per tribe. No food. No water. No fire. No tools. No rope. Nothing! And it stayed this way, for some of them, for more than three days."

UDG, I was reading it the same way and laughing so hard! I am not too sure I want to see what the two contestants have to hunt through to find the matches! I wonder how many RED DOTS they will have to use to cover Richard during this scene!

22. "Fire in the hole!"
So, Rich smuggles matches up his poop shoot? This is really bad.
I mean really gross and bad for all involved. I don't want to even imagine how he was able to do it, especially since he is naked so often. Anyway, not only is it a certain one-way ticket out of the game, but it could potentially damage the tribe as well, sending him (Richard) home without a challenge loss or a tribal council, which brings me to a second point.

One of the things that has been bothering me has been the 18 contestants 39 days thing. Since there's been no real evidence that supports the scenario of multiple TC boots, I've been wondering how they would work one boot per threee days and still come out with only two players on day 39. If Varner can be trusted, and I'm not sure that he can, we may have one DQ, one quit, and one "symbolic" tribal council with Jenna leaving the game.

I can see how Jenna's exit might work to fit in with a regular tribal council, but I can also see how two players would leave the game in addition to the scheduled TC's.

So, in at least two episodes, we may very well see two players exit, but one will be a sanctioned boot via tribal council, and the others are Richard's DQ and Ethan's hissy fit/quit.

Does this make sense? Otherwise, there would have to be 15 episodes, and I haven't seen any evidence which suggests that there are.

23. "RE: Fire in the hole!"
NightScribe, the WingedMonkeys spoiler on Snewser said that TC's may have been accelerated at some point in the game. Krautboy, I think, posted a convincing schedule whereby after the merge into one tribe there would be a TC every 2 days instead of 3. (At the moment I can't find which thread this post was in.)

Also, most sites have the game schedule based on 37 days, under the assumption that Jenna's departure forces 2 days to be subtracted from the total.

And according to sleeeve's schedule here, it's possible there will be as many as 16 telecast episodes for ASS.

6. "21 days in?"
I looked but couldnt find the exact quote, but wasnt MB or JP saying something about 21 days in things were in chaos? Perhaps someone walks out around that time. Unless they are double eliminating, 21 days should still be outside of the jury selection, but if the second walk-out happens with a jury member what exactly do they do?!?

Thanks Milan and KB, that was the one I was looking for. In my quest for completeness I found this one from as well.

"Personally, this was the most emotionally trying season for me and for them," Probst said. "I was the most worn out 21 days in. A lot of stuff happened that could only happen on an 'All Star' season."

Whatever happens 21 days in JP sure thought it was memorable.

You may be on to something there. We have speculation that Colby goes near or around the merger. We have the 21 days quotes from Jeff (who is a known Colby buddy). We have people who are playing hard and nasty verses people who wonder why they are even there, AND going in Colby would be the last person you would think of pulling an Osten...

I'm not sure about that clothing spoiler. Last season was potluck: whatever you were wearing, you went overboard in, and suffered the consequences. The producers set up the situation, but the contestants did, in a way, cue their own suffering. No way to call discrimation on that one: they were all in the same boat, just with different oars.

But for the staff to go through the luggage saying 'You'll be okay, you'll freeze, and you're going to do nothing except overheat unless you start ripping things apart or take to full nudity...' That's opening themselves up to legitimate attacks.

I don't remember where I read this, but the "writing on the wall" scenario might apply to Jenna M. as well. Supposedly when she left, the first two boots had been former winners, and with her mother sick (perhaps Jenna is told her mother has taken a turn for the worse), she decides there's no point in continuing and decides she should leave.

I find the whole matches spoiler to be really unfortunate. Now granted, if it's true, I bet it's going to be some hilarious television. And, isn't that why we watch this anyway?

But, for some reason, I can't get past the whole issue of Richard Hatch trying to cheat in this game. This isn't like some unknown goober trying to smuggle a granola bar or beef jerkey. This is King Richard himself. He owes so much more to this game than that.

As far as King Richard goes, think of the amazing pressure and target he wears. He knows he was the 1st winner and the fashion he went after it the first time, is not likely to be repeated. He is smart, he is out to prove that he CAN win against all odds. So for him to cheat is not outside the realm of possibility. If he makes fire for the team and doesn't get caught in the process, then he looks like a hero, especially if it has been a couple days without water. He probably figures that if he is caught then that seals his fate, but I bet he knows his days are numbered anyway unless he can pull off a few miracles along the way.

Well and the more I thought about it last night, I wondered if he could also be correct about another tribe member quitting. If Ethan and Jenna are dating outside of the game (as is rumored)I think that it could be possible they hear news that Jenna's mom passed away and he chooses to leave the game to be with her. Since he knows he has no chance of winning anyway. It's a possibility.....

Here's a crazy idea - Rob M gets kicked off for hurting Ethan - and Lamber quits cause she thinks its unfair - (LOL)

No way, even though Rob may get booted for being too rough with "pretty boy", Lamber is there for a million bucks. She keeps up the Robmer alliance, she shares half if he wins, or keeps it all if she wins (she's using the Paradise Hotel strategy, take someone completely unbearable to the end, and then cut them off if you win hahahahaha)

Can't see that at all.

i always thought the sharing would be an excellent strategy, but i actually read an interview that quoted JP as saying that one of the very few rules in survivor is that winners are forbidden to split their prize money.

I know you can't conspire to share, but if you're involved in a personal relationship that was cultivated on a little island off the coast of Panama (how romantic!) Amber would "share" with Rob.

If she wins, she kicks him to the curb! Maybe Lamber isn't such a lamb. Maybe she's smarter than everyone gives her credit for.
