I see he has thumbs-down now for Andrew, Rhino, Rupert, and Christa. Probably he thinks they are the next four boots after Shawn and Osten? Still, at least three of them would make the jury. And I think he's hedging his bets on the returning players by keeping Lillian, Burton, Michelle and Trish open as possibilities. I suspect he knows that Nicole and Ryan S. are gone for good. I mean, whatever pride he might have arrived with can't possibly survive losing/quitting challenge after challenge. The guy can't take much more. Even not having seen the show, he must know exactly how he's going to look on TV. So it would be the ultimate end to his storyline if, just when the going got tough (not Christa-tough but Osten-tough) he walked away, off the set, into the woods, leaving his tribe and the crew scratching their heads. J.Pro would say, "Better go after him." And Andrew (and the cameras) would catch up with him just in time to hear Osten officially quit the show. Oh it would be so satisfying. But I don't think that's going to happen. I think there's just going to be two TCs and each tribe has to boot someone. Drake's finally go with the obvious choice (Shawn) and Morgan's finally give up on Wussten. -P   Top

Here is the entire text lifted from ACME... too cute! Lord VoldeMark’s Revenge Hogwarts is a quiet place over the summer term, most of the students are home enjoying quality time with their families (except for one Harry Potter who suffers miserably at the Dursley residence). A few students who failed miserably on their OWL’s remain to take remedial courses. This term only fifteen remained to walk the halls of the famous Wizarding school. The fifteen were divided into two houses, not the better known and respected houses of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin, but those of Drake and Morgan, named after two Hogwarts failures who set the record for most summer sessions attended. In order to ensure that this group of fifteen didn’t completely self-destruct, one staff member was assigned to monitor the group. This term Hagrid, the magical creatures instructor was thus assigned to the Drake group. Hagrid had been having a time of it this session. Strange things have been afoot. Six students were banished from Hogwarts, never to return for their complete ineptitude. Other concerns included: a student who was built like a troll but was afraid of the water and even the smallest magical creatures, and another student who got sloshed on butterbeer before class sessions. Oh, how Hagrid wished that they would return to their muggle families. The past three days had brought further strange and disturbing events. It all started the evening that Hagrid’s own house betrayed and tried to remove him. Hagrid’s response was to flush out the person responsible and confront him with his displeasure. In addition, Hagrid had sensed a presence throughout the term, but now had an increased foreboding that Lord VoldeMark might be returning. His suspicions proved correct as on the nineteenth day of the term, while arriving at the jailbreak match (Quidditch is reserved for the four main houses), he was suddenly confronted by the six apparitions, it couldn’t be, but it was. The six banished students parading themselves in, as if they had never been expelled. VoldeMark had arranged their return and in addition had magically supplied the banishees with a purple cage and purple buffs reading “Outcast” for the match. It seemed that VoldeMark had prepared his tribe to compete in the days events. Hagrid was outraged, this was a blatant usurping of authority and an embarrassment to the good name of Hogwarts. Yet, the power of VoldeMark was strong, he wagered with Hagrid that should his tribe win, that Hagrid must accept two of the banishees back in exchange for one of the Drake and one of the Morgan tribe. Hagrid’s great pride was challenged and he accepted the terms. Unfortunately, the spell cast by “he who should not be named” was unbreakable and those previously banished prevailed. Maniacal laughter reigned as VoldeMark declared that that very evening he would return to reinstate his two pawns into the game. Cursing his fate, Hagrid shepherded Drake and Morgan off to meet their fate. Candles hung suspended in mid-air, but the great hall of Hogwarts had a solemn feeling as the ceremony began. The sorting hat was fetched and given a new and awful task of banishing a member of each house. First the Drake members stepped forward and after Sandra and Jon were given a reprieve, Shawn stepped forward and donned the hat, and this is what it said: “You are strong on the outside, but on the inside weak, You think the game is yours, but your chances are bleak, The time has come for you to leave this hallowed place, And consider trying to become something other than a disgrace.” Next came the Morgan tribe. Once again the hat determined the students’ fate. The group was shocked as it returned the useless Osten to his fellow students. Yet, when Ryan donned it, the group heard: “The world is not always fair, this may not seem wise, But Lord VoldeMark has engineered your untimely demise, His name is pure evil, his ways are unjust, Never look into his eyes, and never give him your trust.” Before the two houses went back upstairs, the last phase of the ceremony was completed and both Lillian and Burton, two of the loathsome banishees were returned to the game by VoldeMark. His revenge complete, VoldeMark slithered away to plan further evil for the next term at Hogwarts. "RE: SO HAPPY" I wouldn't be surprised if the fact that Christa out-lifted him (or tied) is the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. His ego would take a huge blow. Bodybuilders get by with a huge caloric intake but very little body fat. In a near starvation environment, your body starts eating your muscles when the fat runs out so you can't do when you think you should be able to do. I think that Osten is terrified that his body is falling apart on him and Christa's performance in the last IC is the proof of it. Osten seems like the type for whom the body is a temple. So, for that to fail, mentally, that's gotta be real tough. Now don't get me wrong, I think that Osten never had the right mentality for this game; but I also think that the Survivor environment is murder on people with extremely low body-fat and are very used to a certain diet. -aethelstan I am a moth. When I saw the preview after last week's show, I was kinda surprised to see Andrew speaking again about Osten wanting to quit given the circumstances: 1. The tribes were tied, and this could mean killing Morgan off entirely if someone quits 2. Morgan has been on a winning streak of sorts and morale should be much higher 3. Morgan just won a HUGE challenge that should have them all on a high So I wondered why he would quit now. And the answer came to me in JPro's actions during the IC. I believe Jeff's words and actions have a significant impact sometimes, and he took the gloves off when he went on and on about Christa and Andrew's performances compared with Shawn and Osten. He effectively called Osten a whimp in front of everyone else, and I bet this eats away at Osten big time. I understand a news conference call of sorts has been scheduled for tomorrow. Imagine if the big regret is that Osten hauls off and attacks JPro and gets kicked off the show. LOL!   Top

And I'm also wondering if the "Osten quitting" confessional takes place AFTER the GC challenge, and Osten's attidue makes it easier for Morgan decide who to kick off. Either that or he doesn't try at the challenge, and allows Ghosts to win, pissing everyone off, which is why Andrew makes that comment.   Top
