1. "RE: AI: What has happened to Simon?" |
LAST EDITED ON 08-14-02 AT 10:19 AM (EST)I read an article, don't remember where, in it the shows producer (a friend of Simon) stated that Simon actually had business in the U.K. with some of his clients. It apparently had nothing to do with the show. As for him being nicer. I agree he has been a tad nicer, but only because the show has so few contestants left, the truly awful ones are gone now. What irritates me is the way he favors the women. ALWAYS !!!! Like Christina for instance, he would over-praise her even when she would give a mediocre performance (which was almost every time.) Or last night, when he over-praised Tamyra, after a very good but sort of lackluster performance. As for the men he trashes them. He calls them boy band material, even though boy bands is how Simon Cowell made his name, he unleashed "Westlife" on this planet after all. In this article, the shows producer said he was tired of the bickering between the judges and that that would have to stop for the next installment. It also appears that Paula had to resort to hiring a writer to be able to counter Simon's attacks. How sad is that? (c) 2002 IceCat Originals, Inc. All rights reserved.
