When I first saw the gold star I thought that it would be like a sheriff's badge. I like the idea for incentive but don't like the $20,000 attached to it. It doesn't fit with the theme and the kids ages.
Casting farm kids was smart; I hope that not too many of them are picky eaters! (I did see one girl eating a pickle for breakfast!)
The lack of sponsors was very noticeable. I kept on waiting for a break. If they don't have more sponsors next week, I wouldn't expect the show to last too long.
I loved Jimmy and thought Laurel was great with all the homesick kids. She has a talent that a lot of adults don't have (and she ended up a laborer!)
