leianawd 471 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Daytime Soap Guest Star" 11-04-05, 10:49 AM (EST) "Unhappy in Maine" I was pretty pi ssed off last night when Brandon was voted off, I honestly believed he could last. I know that some people may think of Brandon as a threat, which physically he is plus he doesn't really do anything to tick people off, but can't these people see that he's less of a threat opposed to the three bullies (Jamie, Steph,and Judd) that they allow to control them? I would have rather gotten rid of someone who will get by bullying people into making decisions than someone who might beat me in individual immunity. Maybe it is I that is dumb and can't see the whole picture but then again look how Rob controlled Allstars, I can see this happening if people like Rafe,Lydia,and Cyndi don't develope a backbone and stir up the pot a bit, after all what do they think is going to happen to them once Gary, Danni and Bobby John are gone?   Top

He was my favorite this season. But the team of six did the right thing. See if they voted Jamie out say.....then it would be 5 to 4. All Bobby Jon's team would've had to do was convert one person and Stephanie's tribe would of been packing rather than Bobby Jons. And that could've easily happened. Anything could happen when we are down to the final 6. Look they probably all hate Jamie, but last night was not the time to get rid of him.   Top

"RE: Unhappy in Maine" Yeah, all six members of the Axis of Evil did do the correct thing in terms of furthering their own chances at the million. Kudos to them for holding firm in the face of a lot of reasons for several of them to consider flipping. I'm still mad at all of them, though! And I'm really bummed out that Brandon has gone. I am sadder about his boot than any other in my history of watching the game. His likeability factor is just way up there for me and I loved the presence he brought to the game. You gotta face it, though, the fact that he is so likeable as a person means he lacks the killer instinct you need to win the game of Survivor. Apparently he was always saying how hard it was to vote for anybody and you just don't win the game that way. But that's probably the same reason why I feel as though I like him as a person. So while he may have lost the game of Survivor, he has won a lot of feelings of friendship and respect from millions of viewers, and that is worth something in its own right. Kudos to Brandon! He is an All-Star to me.   Top

Sure woe is Brandon who gets the axe because he is a threat and he is down in numbers and those up in numbers had to make the choice between deserving to be there vs alliance. Flashback to last weeks episode where Amy was a casualty of the numbers and though maybe more deserving to stay than BJ who has played the game before, Brandon stuck to his alliance. The Survivor knife cuts both ways.   Top

Yep, but I guess we'll see who benefits from all of this......probably won't be Rafe, Cyndi or Lydia so I don't think it was necessarily a good move on their part unless they wait till just Gary is left from the new Yaxha tribe to turn the tables on the three buttheads of the game, I guess I can only hope.   Top

Of course it would be even better if Rafe and Cindi switched over to the other side next ep and ensured the departure of Jamie next. It is not impossible, but I think it is more wishful than objective thinking on my part.   Top

Brandon is one of the best castaways this show has ever had and it's quite heartbreaking to see him go instead of all the others who are not worth the respect. From day 1, I knew he was the best among the lot and he didn't disappoint. I wish he even made it to the jury. I will watch one more episode and if I see Judd, Jaime, or Stef still in the show, I will wait for the next season. The show isn't the same without Brandon.   Top
