I think it's a combination of 1 & 2, plus a little bit of manipulation. Roger, Dave, and Butch would have targeted Deena but probably didn't have a strong preference among the other 3, figuring they could all be picked off one by one, and who cares in what order? So they let Rob, Alex, and Matthew (who they thought were voting with them) dictate who went. The men, of course, asked R/D/B to vote for Christy because she was the farthest removed female from the "new Jaburu" alliance that Alex and Matthew (wrongly) believe exists, just in case something backfired from the plan. Remember that Christy was only roped in at the last minute; only 6 votes were secure from the get-go.
