"Use of Fast Forward"
Is anyone else surprised that neither AA nor MK used the Fast forward this week. Both teams were out of it and had to realize that their only hope was that someone else had also screwed up. If that was the case, A FF cold allow them to pass someone else having problems. It may have been a long shot, but it would have may have been there only hope

1. "RE: Use of Fast Forward"
I thought about this too.

But the fastforward is usually located before the detour, so it would have been back somewhere in Lisbon. Which means

1. at the time it was convienent all teams were within 30 minutes
2. To go back after your car had trouble would be going 100-200 miles in the wrong direction, and then you knew you would have to turn around again. Seems like it was too late by the time they got into trouble,

Kinda like Shola/Doyin last time- they new they were screwed, but it was too late.

2. "RE: Use of Fast Forward"
When someone opened their first clue, one of the twins I think, I saw the green fast forward underneath what they were reading. Since the fast forward was given at the start of the race and everyone was within 25 minutes of one another, I guess most teams thought there was no advantage to taking it. The FF would probably have told them to take the same they Ferry they all took and head straight to the pitstop. Once their cars were stuck on the highway, there was no advantage to taking the FF.

I wasn't surprised that no one took the FF for the reasons ElCin gave. The teams were too close when it was offered and it would have been too risky to go for it and lose, and it would have been senseless to go for it after the breakdown.

That, and by the time they got to the first clue, they were in first place, so they probably thought they didnt need it.
