Estee 57126 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 09-28-10, 05:42 PM (EST) "Waiting For Superman." I won't be seeing it. I'm not sure I can take the hypocrisy from some of the people who will. Because it always seems to come down to the following: "We don't want to pay any taxes -- -- and we refuse to allow certain subjects to be taught at all -- -- giving teachers decent pay only makes us somehow feel worse about ourselves -- -- anyone challenging our children to think is torturing them -- -- and everyone knows thinking is the greatest sin -- -- plus it's only all about getting past the tests anyway -- -- and no one ever really uses any of this stuff -- -- but we still demand that the kids get a better education!" Which is apparently supposed to fall out of the sky via rocket from a doomed planet. Wonder what the Kandorian school system is like. And whether they were allowed to teach geology with a focus on earthquake studies. Must have been a really low budget that year.   Top
