"Daniel on the Early Show" |
LAST EDITED ON 02-28-03 AT 11:06 AM (EST)Nothing of much interest, but one curious remark. When Daniel was asked why he thinks he was voted out instead of Roger, he said that in the long run he might have been seen as a threat, since he is stronger more athletic than Roger. "And if there is a merge, the girls won't stand for Roger." Food for thought. Daniel still seems to like Ryan and Matt. He was asked how he felt about Matt's vote for him. Daniel said that when he found out that Alex was voting for him, he knew it was hopeless, so he told Matt he should do the same so he wouldn't stick out. He also said he got hit with the malaria after he got back. It was one of the more intense strains and he had a 105-degree fever at one point, but he's fine now, and the doctor does not think he'll have a recurrence.

Agreed Q. Roger will be on the outs. No way the women are gonna stand for him. I believe he is a bigot and will stand out with 2 of the women. I do not think Matt is long for the show though. I think Daniel gave him the kiss of death at TC when he said he became good friends with Matt. Alex may appear to be in with Roger but I think Alex will be his downfall. Look for an alliance between Alex, Butch and Dave. Roger is on the outside and only thinks he is running things. Matt and Rob are the next "boys" to go. They are concentrating on the women way too much. YAY for the women on that point. You gullable men and your facsination with our boobies!LOL

I disagree, but after this week of picking Joanna to go maybe no one should listen.First up we have the weight spoilers. I think Matt and Rob go farther based on the weight loss Second - JP (Or was it MB) said this year the important thing is to be able to adapt to what is happening. I thought that ment Christy adapting to what was happening. Then I thought it was Christy adapting to being left out of everything. Now, I thing it is Matt adapting after making some early alliance mistakes. If I recall correctly he said somewhere that he is good at adapting to the environment he is in, but maybe he did not say that and I just think he did. Third - Chill one is 3 for 3, in who but not in what order. He says (and I am saying it as I remember it) that a big male with short hair parted on the side makes it to the final 2. Of the ones left combined with the weight loss spoilers I think that is Matt. So, there you have my ramblings, but like I said at the start, I picked JoAnna this week. They booted Daniel but, as everyone knows, they should Boot Ed

I really think Matthew will stick around for awhile. I think he was made to look vulnerable early on by his alliance with Daniel. But I do think he is keeping alot of secrets and is able to stay in the game. There is something about Matthew that my gut says he will be around for a long time. Not sure what it is. Just a gut feeling. He has that look.

Okay, I'm a new poster but, I noticed something in Q's first post.'First the girls would not be able to use their charms on Rodger (they seem to be able to work on Butch though)' I could be mistaken but, I was thinking that before the immunity challenge on yesterday's show, Rodger asked about getting with a girl (I can't remember which one) and Butch said something about being too old for that. Personally, I think Rodger would be a much bigger sucker for the womenly charms (or damsel in distress crap) than Butch. ~~Jenn

This isn't the first time a survivor 6 contestant has pondered the possibility of a non-merge.Last night, during the RC, when the girls told Jiffy that they talk about Rob at their camp, Rob looked unto the heavens and said "Please, God! Let there be a merge!!" This kind of struck me. I know the players are always warned ahead of time that anything can happen, nothing is as it seems, don't judge a book by it's cover, etc., but I think the merge is kind of a Survivor staple, especially if they intend to have the winner decided by a jury of bootees. I can see them speculating about a swap or an *early* merge. I don't remember contestants in other Survivors speculating about a non-merge.

"And if there is a merge, the girls won't stand for Roger."*hehehehehe* How quickly we forget... Let us go back to a time not long ago when a soft porn-used car salesman took the lead over a little old tribe in Thailand. He had the women in their traditional role within the camp and no one seemed to mind. In fact, the women of that camp looked to him for direction. This is going to come out all wrong but I don't care...flame away. The women will WELCOME having someone else make the decisions and delegate the tasks. I'm all for women's lib and equality but those ideals don't apply in Survivor. Honestly those women need Roger to tell them what to do. Deena is okay for now but you can plainly see that they need help. The females will fall into their respective role within the tribe, every single Survivor has had a dominant male leader whether implied or acknowledged. Where the women have the upper hand is with their sexuality which they will use to manipulate whatever unfortunate bafoon falls for it. They will play Roger like a fiddle and use him to make things at camp nice-nice...but they can also manipulate the other men to vote Roger off. As my DH says "it's the biitches that git ya" "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful, there are so many other reasons"
