"Reality sprinkled with multiple miracles" |
Has anyone commented on how miraculous it was that that when there were only a few minutes left the guy who was not interested in the penthouse rental shows up with a change of heart...and with a "money is not object" attitude to boot! I love my reality shows, but this seemed a bit set up...as if DT had called up the guy and made a deal for him to go back and rent the suite. It changed the outcome of the winners/losers and it is certainly not out of the realm of possibilities that DT might have done it so the two lovebirds would take the trip and not the three guys who just had a swinging time as winners in Atlantic City. Way better television to watch the lovers go on the trip then a repeat of the three bachelors. I just thought it was a bit too "miraculous" that with only minutes left the guy returns and without hesitation rents it. Come to think of it...didn't this same thing happen when they fixed up the apartments on an earlier episode? Someone came at the last second and rented the apartment for more money? It is a known fact that DT gets feedback from George and Carolyn while the competition is taking place...so perhaps he could decide to "make things happen" to add a little more drama to the mix. Again, maybe not, but in the realm of possibility. What DT wants he gets pretty much. I saw the preview tonight showing that Troy is back next week and that two people get fired during the first half of the show. My being a huge Troy fan...I was disgusted that education swayed the decision. If Kwame can be a CEO and delegate responsibilites so he doesn't have to, then why couldn't Troy? Troy was the sharpest one of the bunch, in my opinion. And he was the most polite...showing kindness and friendliness from everyone from rickshaw drivers to receptionists. Many of the other contestants have had a "holier than thou" attitude and Troy has been more of the people-person than anyone else. I really think that the winner of The Apprentice is going to be declared the head of Trump's bottled water company...after all...it is a new venture of his...and Troy did prove he can sell more water than the other team. My fantasy is that it is found out that something corrupt happened to give the lovers the win and they are the two who get fired at the beginning of next weeks show, hence Troy's return to a rightful winning team. Then the three remaining are given a task that they must each handle themselves to show whether they have the decsion-making effectiveness when there is no one else to lead them but themselves. But that is only a fantasy....and we are talking about REALITY tv, right?
