In my recollection, the puzzling ones were always well received. Here is one that seems fun and challenging. Telescope puzzle Use the telescopes to push and pull the ball around the screen and into the hole. Did I get you into the math website jbug???   Top

"Puzzle #25 solution - hidden text" I'm still a little dizzy from the whacks but was able to get through all the levels. 25 was certainly tough. Solution in invisible ink below for those who want it: - The first step is to drop the Red telescope (R1) and the Purple one to its right (P1) one space down. Do this by raising the telescopes below them to the top, then lowering R1 and P1, and then moving the first two moved back to their original places. - The next step is to move the lower left Green (G1) one space. Do this by moving the green above it (G2) to the right, then G1 up, then G2 back to its starting position. - now you can push the ball down, right, and up. - by moving the green above the hole, you will be able to reach over to the ball with the right-most yellow, pulling the ball back to the right. - extend R1 down. - now we need to move the bottom right Purple (P2)up one. Extend P1 down, then P2 up (it will only go one square. - P1 up, then yellow pushes the ball back to the left. Now P1 pushes the ball down. - move the green above the hole up, then the green at the far right will reach the ball and draw it back, and finally the green above the hole will push the ball down into the hole. I hope this makes sense, and I didn't mix up my Ps and Rs. (I am so much better with Ps and Qs )   Top

After doing several, I figured the best method was to work backwards as usually only one of the telescopes was in a position to push the ball in. After determining which was the final telescope, I determined which square(s) the ball could be in, and then which telescope(s) could put the ball in that square, and so on. At the very least, I had a good idea where the ball needed to be to complete the play. Number 13 took me the longest of the lot. If I have time I'll try to crack 16-25 and block levels. (eta) Ok, made it through 24 but I think #25 is bugged - or, shall we say, jbugged. If anyone can solve #25, I'd like to know how. I think I'm on the verge of proving that it can't be solved. The game allows you to go directly to a number, so anyone who wants to give a shot can do so without the grind of the first 24. Slicey's cahaya '75   Top

"RE: Monday game thread" LAST EDITED ON 11-16-09 AT 08:43 PM (EST) I got #25 done... basically, there's a lot of "blocking off" to do. Lemme try it again and see if I can explain it step-by-step. There's a lot of blocking off using the red, two yellows and two blues to put them into position so the final two greens (closest to the hole) can draw them back and push it in. ETA: Eh, I see Mister Yoffer has explained it, except I call it "blue" where he calls it "purple". I've been on this thing from 1 to 25 for nearly a hour in all! ETA once again: I discovered I'm just repeating what was already said by cahaya that the best way to solve the tough ones is to go backwards - look at which the only possible telescopes can get it into the hole then go back to how they could be moved around before I actually start pushing the ball around.   Top
