Nutz2U 14 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Got Milk? Spokesperson" 08-09-00, 10:19 PM (EST) "All Aboard the "RUDY WINS IT ALL" Train" OK, perhaps I am WAY JUMPING THE GUN here, but I am prepared to take a stand now and say that Rudy wins the Survivor Challange. Won't say that I have any hard evidence to back this up, HOWEVER, of the remaining tribe members, he's probably the only one I would care to see win!!! He may be a salty old sailor, crusty old fart, homophobe, whatever you may think, he's about the most straight-forward individual left on the island!!!! I think you can rest fairly sure where you would stand with Rudy! Yes, he joined the Alliance, sure! But I don't see him in there back-stabbing folks, lying, etc. Of course, we only see what JP/MB want us to see! I guess we'll all know in a few weeks! It should be interesting to see how the "meeting" goes after the winner is crowned!   Top

Kelly is a sure goner after seeing tonight's episode. There's no way in hell Richard or Susan would beat Sean or Rudy in the final 2. Sean has been skating on thin ice for the last 3 episodes but might actually make it to the final 3 because of the so-called "penis alliance" (due to what was said about Kelly and the fact that everyone hates Sue) and if the immunity challenge is physical, he might even make it to the final 2. Based on this, Sean would be the only thing close to competition for Rudy but in the end, Rudy will win.   Top

I think the men have joined up. The only thing I would disagree with is that I think that at least Richard could be Sean in the final vote. All the Pagong people hate Sean. Colleen, Gervase, Jenna, and I bet they could sway Greg. Plus, Susan hates Sean, as does Kelly. I think Richard stands the best chance of winning against Sean, which may be his final plan. However, maybe Rudy gets immunity when it the three of them, and it comes down to Richard and Rudy. I do think that Rudy will win at all.   Top

The only real scare was when Stacey tried to form an alliance of her own to vote him out, but I think that this is all wrapped up. How great would it be to see the old guy beat everyone else?   Top

Rudy absolutely wins it all. Let's see what we've got. If the final two came down to Rudy vs. Sean, Rudy wins, because the Pagong all hate Sean for his alphabet strategy, and Rich and Soozin would probably vote for Rudy as well (unless he had to stab them in the back to get to the final 2) Rudy vs. Rich, again Rudy wins because of the Pagong majority. The Pagong have to realize that Rich is the ringleader of the TA. Pagongers have cast votes against Rich in the past (see J for Jenna) but not Rudy. Eventhough he can't stand those kids, they'd give the old guy a million before they gave it to satan. Rudy vs. Soozin- Pretty much the same logic as Rich, except the Pagong haven't cast votes against her in TC. But she's clearly more of a leader of the alliance than Rudy, and had plenty of blow-ups at the Pagong. Also, I gotta believe Sean votes for Rudy to win over Soozin, since she is constantly berating him. Rudy vs. Kelly- Rudy LOSES. Kelly got a lot closer to the Pagong majority, and distanced herself from the alliance early by casting votes against Sean. So Rudy beats them all but Kelly. So for Rudy to win, Kelly can't make the final two. Notice the alliance was going to vote Kelly off before she won immunity, and probably will next week if they have the chance. So Rudy's in the final four, and just has to avoid getting voted out before the final two. Rich has already said he wants to carry Rudy as far as he can, because he doesn't see him as an immunity challenge threat, and thinks that Rudy will go before him. Sean has said he won't vote against Rudy, back from his alphabet days. Soozin would clearly rather vote Dicque off, as she talked about when she was still bestest buddies with Kelly. And Soozin HATES Sean, and may see him as more of an immunity threat. Most importantly, Soozin, Dicque and Sean probably all think that if they can get to the final three WITH Rudy, they can convince him to team with them to vote the third person off. But Rudy beats them all easily in the final vote. Conductor, will it REALLY take two weeks for this train to reach the station??   Top

Assuming the triumverate votes either kelly or sean off next week, and assuming that neither kelly nor sean make it to the final two (which are fair assumptions to make, I think) then rudy must win. Susan and especially rich have way too many enemies to win. The only way rudy could lose would be if he pissed off sue, rich, or kelly - and that seems very unlikely, he seems content to sit back and watch the others battle it out. He's gonna be your millionare.   Top

My only concern, however, is that the final 3 (Rudy will CERTAINLY be part of that) will compete in a challenge. The winner gets to decide whom to go against in the final vote. If Rudy doesn't win, it's unlikely he'll be chosen over the devilish Richard, Sue, or Sean (Rudy'll beat them all) Unless, of course, they don't KNOW this. Maybe Rich IS conceited enough tho think he'd beat Rudy... Hmmmm... Nah, Rudy'll win it all!   Top

"RE: All Aboard the "RUDY WINS IT ALL" Train" Another often ignored, or misunderstood, aspect of Rudy is his history as a Chief in the Navy. That is not something a political incompetent can last at. The US Navy is a highly political animal, and the Chiefs run it, not the Admirals. Rudy not only made Chief, but he flourished as one, holding the honor of Command Master Chief. Rudy spent more time as a Chief than his competition on Survivor has lived. That says volumes for his wisdom, his savy, ability to work with people to obtain his goals, and especially knowing who to trust and for how long, and when to keep his mouth shut. The voting makes this not a game of survival of the fittest, but survival of the saviest. Rudy wins that hands down. Hoorah!   Top

Master Chiefs DO run the Navy! And it certainly speaks volumes that this man served as well as he did in that post! I won't go so far as to say that this "game" is "like" warfare...but there is certainly must strategizing that has taken place. A good SEAL assesses the situation well before committing himself to action! As for whether or not the Pagongers would choose Rudy to win, whether he is "popular" or not...dunno!! I would think that the remaining Tagi tribe members have been less than favorably referenced (by Pagongers) in recent weeks! (ie: Kelly is a "double-agent"; "Sean is DUMB!", etc.) Certainly, Rudy has been characterized as a "homophobe", but consider not only his military service, but his generation! He also mentioned his "old fashioned values" with regards to Gervase's fathering children outside a marriage commitment. Sure, that is old-fashioned, but it "commitment" also indicates a certain level of maturity, does it not? Ok, off the soap-box and back onto the train....GO RUDY!!! HOOYAH!   Top

"Sorry, not boarding" I think Richard's arrest on child abuse charges played a major role in the editing of the show. CBS did not want its own Rick Rockwell, and Richard did not win (I'll post a separate thread on that), so the episodes were edited with a theme to make Richard look evil (the kind of person who might abuse children) and the people who vote him off (or, perhaps, stab him in the back) look better. I think that means that Rudy and Susan play Brutus and Cassius when Richard Caesar gets snuffed. I also think that Susan is probably the only remaining Tagi Alliance member that Rudy could beat in the final vote, and I'd be stunned if they wound up as the final two. But then, I've been stunned before!   Top

Just another in a stream of reporting that Rudy does in fact win! : Jay Thomas, former host of FOX's "Who Wants To Marry A Millionaire," and now host of his own early morning radio talk show, announced on Tuesday morning that Rudy is the winner. Thomas claimed to have had an insider from CBS with a masked voice. Hmmmm....   Top

For example, Markie B's comment that he's looking at making a Rudy action doll, made at the same time as the rest of the misleading info. Dolphin on ss.com referred to Rudy as the "red herring winner," and that's what he looks like. Implication: he makes the final four but then loses in the first TC.   Top

The boys will boot out the girls first, leaving Rudy, Rich and Sean. (Sean and Rich made a pact at breakfast, you watch.) The drama and intrigue of that last episode will be that Rich is now in the middle, having promised both of the others that he'd stay with them to the end. We know he said it to Rudy and we have a hunch it was also said while gobbling scrambled eggs to Sean. Let's say that Sean wins immunity. He then picks his opponent, and he'll pick the unpopular Rich. SEAN WILL WIN THAT VOTE BY A COUPLE OF POINTS. If Rich wins immunity, he'll pick Sean as well, believing that he could beat Sean. But again, Sean will win. Everyone who says Sean is "hated" by Pagong is dead wrong. Pagong think Sean is dumb, not mean and conniving. They will pick dumb over conniving at the end of the day-o.   Top
