I think Supes had a senior moment and I fell asleep watching a sick child. If not for the graces of a needy cat craving attention, I'd still be sacked out. So anyway... THE RULES 1. Please put the name of your choice for this week's bootee IN THE SUBJECT HEADING! This is really easy. Just erase the bit where it says "Re: SurvivorBlows Tribe, It's Time to Vote!" and replace with your vote, i.e., Ghandia. This makes it easier to tally votes quickly and accurately. 2. Reply ONLY to this post! Curves on women are good. Curves on vote threads are bad. EXCEPTION TO RULE 2! VOTE CHANGES! If it just so happens that you wanna change your vote for whatever reason, REPLY TO YOUR ORIGINAL POST! Your new post heading should read "VOTE CHANGE: Clay (or Whoever)". 3. "Jake" After 3 obvious ones in a row; Ken being the obvious strategical choice, and Ken all over the promos being pissed about the piss, I decided to go out on a limb. In S5, when everything was falling apart, the leader had to go (Hunter). SJ is falling apart and it looks somewhat like there is Tribal Immunity again. This is the last episode where only one tribe can go to TC. Next Ep. whoever is booted will actually be sitting on the jury, but for this episode, there is still no jury so no need for both tribes to be there. Erin and Penny are voting together. That has been a pretty much given, and both of them were very clear about keeping their word. It has been mentioned that CG may recruit Jake, and he would be the likely choice due to his closeness in age; so for more time Penny and Erin are better off to boot Jake. This gives them a buffer of a week since on a merge, Ken will be the obvious target. Ken will most likely approach the girls about booting Jake; no doubt. Its been said that if he had it to do over again, Jake would have picked tribe differently; meaning he probably didn't fare well in the game. Ken and Penny were his 2nd and 3rd picks. We're due for a surprise bootee...Too many easy ones in a row. Also, if there is fear that Immunity may still be tribal in the future, Penny and Erin would more likely want to keep Ken, and gang with him to take out Jake.... Alternate: Ken   Top

One Survivor is particularly disgusted by the other tribe's hygiene habits in their new home.” Chuay Gahn vs. Sook Jai, with Ken as the focus of the tension. “VO: "This Thursday, on Survivor... It's friends vs. friends when a hidden alliance is uncovered." Ken: "I don' know what you're tawkin' about..." Sook Jai vs Sook Jai, with Penny and Erin targeting Shii Ann’s old friend Ken. "Members of the original tribes feel each other out about the possibility of alliances." After the Sook Jai lose the IC and the tribes merge, Ken starts to feel out the possibility of an alliance with Ted. (Ken and Ted shown hugging). Ken feels vulnerable and starts to squirm. "Episode 9 "Desperate Measures" - News from home draws sharp responses from the castaways that could impact one contestant's future in the game. Also, one alliance tries to infiltrate a rival group." A ninth contestant is voted off the island -" After Ken is voted out, the remaining Sook Jai resort to “desperate measures” as Penny and Erin try to infiltrate the “rival group” now merged into one tribe. Ken and Shii Ann were friends, with Robb and Shi Ann gone, Ken becomes the low man on the Sook Jai totem pole. He’s the logical target of the Sook Jai, he’s the logical target after the merge. So,the vidcap evidence seems to indicate a multi-event Team IC. EP9 “Desperate Measures” suggests that a Sook Jai gets voted out in EP8. The teasers suggest that the tribes merge, since the tribe members consider alliances with members of the other “original tribes”. If the tribes merge, we can speculate that all the tribe members vote, and that the former Chuay Gahn all have immunity. Ken is the logical target of either the former Sook Jai or the merged Chuay Gahn alliances. He's been playing a supporting role during the last two episodes, to Robb and Shii Ann. It's his turn to become one of Ghandia's Stars. Looks like Ken is gone. Krautboy   Top

Vid cap evidence all points to tribal IC for EP8. EP9 title: "Desperate Measures" strongly indicates a tribe in crisis and contra-indicates the two tribes tied in numbers so a Sook Jai boot is more likely than a Chuay Gahn boot. Ken is most likely immunity threat and he is depicted as not liking the new living arrangements. A nice tidy package of proof this week... maybe a little too tidy, perhaps? Still... to not vote for Ken would be to vote counter to a large amount of obvious evidence pointing to his boot this week. MB and crew have been very direct in the previews lately. It would be entirely bad form IMHO if he were to deliberately mislead his audience at this point.   Top

And the previews show us he's got something to say in this one as well. Looks like the Ken story is about to come to an end. Paratrooper's place holder - Supports a SJ boot. Given the past history of pagonging, I see no reason to dispute this. Jump ship? - Ken lost his biggest ally on the SJ's when Shii Ann dug her own grave. We've got a vidcap showing him hugging Ted. Is he sleeping with the enemy (even though they pee in the cave)? Should Ken try to buddy up to CG, Penny/Erin/Jake would not take kindly to this and boot him in a tribal IC. Alliances - Should there be a merge (which I doubt), the 5 CG would want to eliminate the strongest individual immunity threat. If it's just SJ voting, then the firm alliance of Penny/Erin will target Ken. Any way you slice it, the man's got a target on that fine chest.   Top

"Jake" With rumors of a relationship of some sort between Ken and Erin and Penny and Erin being joined at the hip, I think Jake is the odd man out on his tribe. I think Jake is a "wild card" because CG is trying to woo him away. If the kids are smart, they'll boot him now and know they still can keep Ken for tribal immunity help if needed.   Top

"Penny" I'm usually wrong, but I can think of quite a few reasons how and why it would happen, whether just SJ votes or whether they all vote, and whether it's tribal or individual immunity. This isn't totally based on logic, as Ken does seem to be the obvious boot this week (and that's who I picked in the poll), but here's the gist of why. I'm using Ghandia's stars list. Both Ken and Erin made her list. She obviously didn't spend a single minute with them, except the very beginning before tribes were chosen, and at the challenges, as they both will make the jury. I don't think what Shii Ann, Robb, Steph or Jed can tell her would make her think of them as stars, unless something happened that we didn't see. So I expect them both to be around long enough to do something of a star quality, though in Erin's case, I'm having a hard time believing she's got it in her (due to editing only, possibly). Her smokers list came to pass, as I believe Clay is the only one on her list that won't be at LL, yet she was with him for a long time, and as a smoker myself, I know how smokers are with each other when not allowed to smoke for a long time (they aren't given cigarettes, right?). 8 weeks of basic training is an interesting experience Of course they could end up convincing Penny to vote out Jake, but I don't really suspect that will happen. One of the remaining SJs simply MUST realize that Shii bad-mouthed Penny to CG, and while it may be good to have her as your opponent in F2 (though most that are upset with her are now pre-jury boots), SJ probably realizes that being linked to Penny = 100% the enemy of CG, therefore no hope of cozying up and saving oneself over a fringe CG. Maybe I'm too clouded by my anti-Penny feelings, though? Who knows. But someone has to pick her, right?   Top

"Ken" If the teams do in fact merge, I think Ken would be the logical choice in terms of being an individual IC threat, and also because he seems unhappy with his Chewy counterparts (the great pee scandal) and would probably not be likely to bond with any of them. If the tribes stay separate, I think that Jake sticks with the women (if he and Ken were in any alliance, and since they both seemed fond of Shii, why not stick with Shii and vote off Penny, since Ken doesn't trust her). The only way I see Ken staying is if the tribes stay separate, and Chauy loses IC. In that case, by alternate would be Jan.   Top

Yes, it's getting late to still rely on weight loss, but I think that it will still play a factor for the remainder of the game, so let's stick with it at least one more week. 2) The Episode Nine Title is "Desperate Measures"... this seems to suggest that one team will find itself in a desperate situation... I doubt this would be true if a Chuay Ghan tribe member was booted. So now we need to decide which SJ is most likely to go. Scenario 1: Merge... CG has majority, and votes out the biggest threat... thus, Ken is eliminated, unless he wins immunity. Scenario 2: No Merge... 1) and 2) suggest that SJ will be at TC. Thus, we only have speculation to work with. Clay and Brian are allied, as are Erin and Penny. There will likely be a 2-2 tie at TC, and then one of two things could happen. He's certainly the most likely given the previews etc., but there are several reason I'm now leaning towards Jake instead. #1 The only SJ alliance is between Penny and Erin (Jake and Ken arn't included). #2 If there is a possibility that you will still be competing as different tribes you want your best chance of winning. Ken gives you a better chance than Jake does. #3 When you merge Ken is the bigger IC threat and therefore the better target for the newly merged tribe. #4 Jake was the other person CG was thinking about recuiting so get rid of him before they have a chance (they may not know this). #5 If Ken and Jake are the next two to go (as Snewsers suggests in his boot sheet) it's easier for me to see Jake going first. #6 We're due for a "suprise" boot. Therefore, they would feel a need to keep their strongest person around. Further, they can do this in all safety knowing that if there is a merge, Ken will become target number one of the merged tribe. Therefore, keep Ken, boot someone else. I see two ways that it could be Jake. First, Ken goes to Penny and makes his case the way I’ve outlined above. Penny, being the dark cheerleader, doesn’t experience a moment’s worth of hesitation about stabbing Jake in the back. Erin, feeling strangely attracted to both Penny and Ken, goes along. The result? Jake goes for it as quickly as Penny. The problem then becomes who to boot? Penny and Erin are wash strengthwise, so the decision comes down to other factors, such as who do we trust more? Penny loses, and Jake/Ken approach Erin. Erin repeats everything they say back to them, just like she did with Jeff at TC last week, and the boys believe she is on their side. However, she runs and tells Penny. They decide to pick Ken, either thinking that Jake will flip over to their side before a tiebreaker is invoked. The vote comes out 2-2, Jeff shocks everyone again by saying there will be no reconsideration of votes this time, the bag is passed around to the gang of four, and Jake draws the Paschal English memorial rock. The result? Bye, bye Jake. Of course, everyone is probably right about Ken…   Top

The new promo says something about an emotional twist. Shii had nothing but great things to say about Jake, would she be so kind if Jake boots her buddy Ken? Jake told John that he may have done things differently if he could do it over. Why? Ghandia said he loves his family. How would she know? Does it have something to do with the emotional twist? Would SJ keep Ken over Jake if they fear more physical tribal immunity challenges? Is Jake really with Ken or Penny? Could Jake draw the purple rock? Does SJ fear that CG wants to recruit Jake? These are my overthoughts concerning Jake. Gonna go with the simple for now, but I could change my mind at any minute.
