veganjay 1 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "American Cancer Society Spokesperson" 03-17-05, 00:07 AM (EST) "This Survivor sucks..." Wow. This is the worst Survivor yet. After watching all of them up until now, I think I am finally to the point where I wouldn't be all that upset if I missed an episode... or the rest of the season. Talk about a lame attempt at making things exciting. Rather than improving the editing, all they can come up with are these pathetic new twists? They have hours and hours of footage to select from and they still give us the same, boring stuff with a couple of "twists". Ah well... maybe I'll read more books now.   Top

In all honesty, we've seen most of the "boo-hoo I'm on an island" junk. It got old around the time Africa finished, since that's the worst it ever got. The only way to keep the show fresh is to throw curveballs at the players and the viewers. I personally thought that while this past episode had a genius twist, it also totally screwed over a tribe. But that's one of the underlying principles of Survivor. It's never ever fair. --Mo0cow-- I'm not stupid, just selectively ignorant.   Top

I love the get in your face challenges. The twists are not the smae ole tired ones we have seen. The only problem that I see with this season is that Solong has got to be the worst tribe ever. I think there are some good players, Steph and Bobby Jon, on that team, but as a whole they are awful. Very happy with this season. I will say that James needed to take his nasty undies and go instead of Angie. She would not be safe after a merge, but I liked her better than James Coherent perceptions or reckless rambling   Top

There is NO WAY any other Survivor season could get any worse than ASS. That was the most pathetic season ever! Even Jiffy hated the ghost tribe (shall we never speak of GT ever again?)!   Top

But the way I see it they were desperate for something better. The ##### season did not play out like they thought it would. The challenges this season are what is doing it for me I think. I love them. The whole person against person physical contact challenge is something that I have been wanting to see for a while. With so many seasons, they have to give it some change up, or everyone except the die hard fans would get tired of it. I think you mentioned Real world. I watched that up till season 7 I think, then just stopped, everything was the same. You got your green on??? PINCH Coherent perceptions or reckless rambling   Top

"I would have to politly disagree" In my opinion I will never get tired of Survivor and I will never miss an episode (well never say never, but i hope i don't). I guess that what distinguishes die-hard fans from just fans. I still go crazy for my favorite sport teams even if they have a loosing season... So, i don't see how Survivor will ever become not interesting for me. I agree that some seasons are better than others, but i do love them all. And even though we are getting some predictable Ulonging this season, i find Palau as one of the better seasons.   Top

Despite all my complaints about sucky A.S.S. and Vanuatu, I still turn it on every week and keep my eyes pealed to the TV screen. It's a bit of an addiction really... No matter how bad the season is, I will still watch it and enjoy it, although yes, I do have my favourite seasons. And even when I'm bashing, that's half the fun isn't it? Having said that, nothing to bash about this season really, imo. The people have been, by and large, more likeable than in some other seasons; challenges are great; twists are interesting... the only reason some people may find it painful to watch is because of Ulong's losing streak. After all, most people like to root for the underdog, and you have to give them credit for trying so hard. I have to admit, some of the Korors are getting cocky too, eg Tom and Ian, which I'm sad to point out coz they're my favourites.   Top

I hated when they started off with the men vs women last season. I like the twists and turns this season is taking. And I think they have had some of the best challenges. Watching Ulong implode has proven to be quite interesting. I like watching the new dynamics when one team completely takes over the game. I'm excited to see what goes on post-merge. Worst season ever? Not even close. Need I remind you of Clay? Jan the bird lady? Porno Brian? And, as others were saying, ##### was horrible, too.
