Hello I am not a female but I welcome you. I too hate watching two grown men dance in ring. There are some women here I seen one that calls herself the little troll something she is nice. I too love this show. One of the best reality shows I have seen and followed with anticipation up till now

Welcome to the boards! I am a woman ... and I am also "nutz", but not a nurse. I am professor!I used to watch boxing all the time, but lost interest for quite awhile and now this show is making it exciting to me again. I also think Ishe is doing great at getting "in their heads". The Nutty Professor

I'm hooked now as well! I can't believe it either. I was "made" to watch the first episode, and now I genuinely want to know what's going to happen next. The West is definitely my favorite and I really like Ishe, but we'll see with time what happens.

I am a woman and I'm really enjoying this show. I used to be a big boxing fan (back in Tyson's prime) but I stopped following the sport after I realized how corrupt the sport is. This show, brings back my interest, and I may start watching boxing again. This is a fantastic reality show!

Welcome to the beautiful sport of professional boxing!!!We are glad to have you! I'm glad you see the sacrifices that are made and the amount of heart and hope that is put in this endeavor. Woman actually love it also because they see the strategy involved. As one who has been in the ring, the best way to decribe it is it's like "playing chess with boxing gloves." There is so much deep strategy involved you would not believe. Fighters are usually thinking three or four steps ahead, at the minimum. Setting this up, setting that up... This is not just two men thoughtlessly pummeling each other. There is real skill and thinking involved on a very high level. The smart, elite fighters, the ones who stay on top are comparable to the Gary Kasparovs of the world. As Saoul Mamby, former junior-welterweight champion of the world (140 lbs.), said about the sport: "The strong will always beat the weak, but the smart will always beat the strong." Look at a toughman competition and a professional boxing match and you will quickly see the difference. Okay, I've digressed. The boxing community is happy to have you!

I too have never liked boxing before. I have always loved sports and though I watched a few boxing matches in the past, it just never did anything for me. I gave the Contender a shot because I like Mark Burnett and his other shows. You know what, I like the boxing I have seen on this show so far. I'm not sure if it is the personal build up behind each story that makes the matches themselves so compelling, but I am guessing that is the case. I feel more vested in the interest of the outcome. I'm sold, I will continue to watch this show and look forward to each match!

I have never watched a boxing match before, but I am loving this show. The family aspect is making it hard for me to root for antone in the matches; it's very heart-wrenching. By the way, did the coming attractions for next week say someone is coming back?? I thought I sae that....

It seems we have more females here then I anticipated. That makes me happy I greet you and welcome you. The show really needs a wider audience. We need to keep watching the show and keep hope alive

My thoughts exactly. It hasn't gotten the ratings yet, for some strange reason. I thought it'd be doing a lot better now. Hopefully, by word of mouth, it'll catch on... I'd hate to see it scrapped like "The Next Great Champ" and relegated to MSNBC, the FoxNet equivalent. This would be a damn shame. This is too good a show. The sport of boxing reeally needs this.

I have my favorites, I get into the fights, especially Ishe and Ahmed (thank gawd hes gone) that was a great fight. How great would it be to be able to go to the live finale?

I am a woman too, I watch the first episode because it was a Mark Burnett show and I normally like his shows and decided to give this one a shot too. I got hooked. I normally don't watch boxing, but I really like the concept of this. As for the ratings, if the show can stick with one night (first 3 shows were different nights of the week!) maybe the show will get it's followers... though, against Extreme Makeover : Home Edition was a tough spot to be in... As Sly I am always for the underdog, who knows!!!
