I think you danced really good. I'm a choreographer. Let the magic part of your voice carry the song. Simon. This is a singing show, not that dancing show that starts up soon. The dancing was a bit desperate. Vocally very good. The Sax solo sounded like a toy. I think Paula was on the right track, but one of the better song by D'Arby.

I know that right now it is about who is going to win. You can have a song like this that could sell, this is the kind of artist you could be. That is what you really want. Kara. Really competent performance. You gotta hit it out of the park. I wish you can interpret songs, I wanted you to make it more your own. Take more chances. Paula. It sits in the right place in your voice. There was a bum note that was loud but I am so proud of you. All three of you are worthy for the top two spots. Simon. How can you saw there was a bum note I am so proud of you. I think Kara is a cop out. You can't chose a song then blame him from doing the song. Kara gets pissy. What they should have done is tell him to play on the guitar, and work out the arrangement. Ryan keeps the fight going.

Big glory note.Not my favorite Adam performance. Randy. Let me just say this, you are still in the zone. One of the hottest three in the competition. A little going off the melody (did Simon boo him). You are a really talented guy. Kara. You are a strategist. You can do it in a completely different way and change it up and make it unbelievable. You didn't just sing it you did your own version. See what I mean Simon. Paula. You don't know how miserable my life is sitting next to him gloating. It was a brilliant song, superb performance and an American idol I am staring at. Simon. May sound biased. That was a brilliant song choice. This is the point that you find a great artist and song and you worked it out. Brilliant performance. If you are not in the final it will be the biggest upset.

Adam started the song bathed in a pool of light, a huge spotlight shining down on the idol with "starpower". I didn't like the screamy part. Otherwise, I enjoyed Adam's version.

Paula. You left all of us breathless. The structure is there but allows you to do magic. Infusing the gospel part you nailed it. Simon. I love the song, I wouldn't have done that rearrangement. This is a singing competition. That was a vocal master class.

"Heartless" - Kanye WestThis just kinda came to Kris. It is fun. Itunes promo. Playing guitar. Starts slow but picks up after a couple of lines. Wait, that song has lyrics like that? I never noticed with all the autotune. I liked that. Randy. This is going to be one of the toughest voting nights. I like that better than the Frey or Kanye's version. That was better than the original you are in it to win it. Kara. Why didn't you do that with Apologize. It was bold and fearless. The tone the pitch the phrasing, Hot. Paula. You are the bravest artist because you sang a song about Simon Cowell. This is what keeps you relevant. Bravo. Simon. After what I thought was a lame song choice, I had written you out of this competition. That has all changed after that performance.

I've never been a Kris fan, but here he shows his strength in rhythm and key for what he lacks in range. Recall he did a Santana style song a while back and he's got a groove. Maybe not quite the kind of 45 or LP groove I'd want to buy and listen to, but with this (agreeing with Simon) he's very much in the comp.

I like both Kris and Adam. I even like a few of Danny's performances but imo it's Danny who is not in the same league.Kris has the appeal that James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Cat Stevens, Harry Chapin, etc. have had for me. I like his voice, his phrasing, his nuance. I think he is a gifted natural; I don't think he's had professional training. And I wonder what some training will do for him--it only gets better! I think Adam missed the opp to have a "moment" last night. He should have taken a page from Bo's playbook and done an a capella song. What was different about Kris's performance is that he took a current song--one that was sung by the original artist just weeks earlier on the AI stage--and made it his own; made it better than the original. As for entertaining, it depends on what entertains you. I can listen to Jackson Browne, Van Morrison, Taylor Hicks, Michael Johns, Elton John, and other male solo artists on a three hour drive and be totally entertained.

Ahhh - you said one of my favorite words 'Bo'. I still love that man and his music. Him, Daughtry, and now Adam (as well as Justin Guarini - I'm not ashamed to admit that I still love him, too. My musical tastes are very diversified.)Yeah, I can see where Adam was a bit off last night (what was WITH that female background singer screeching over him?). An acapella song would've been brilliant, but I still liked his performance best. Granted, I'm not familiar with the songs Kris performed last night (frankly, I pretty much gave up on today's music a long time ago), and if he made it better than they did, then good for him. For me, though, it just sounded like every other song he's ever done. And I like easy listening too - Elton John is one of my favorites - but I'm just not feeling this guy. It's okay,though - a lot of other people are, and he'll do just fine. Who knows? He might pull off a huge upset tonight and next week, and I'm not really going to be too mad (well, not for long anyway). After all, like I've stated several times previously, it really doesn't matter that much at this point. All three of them are talented and do deserve to be where they are.

Well, I think you've got quite a long night in front of you. Adam - But I'm pretty tired after tonight. Had to sing two songs. And that visit back home was horrific. I had to see my prom date! MC - I think that's quite enough, baby. MC lights candles, turns down the handmade quilt and pats the space next to her. MC - We have very little time left. Before you know it, you'll be leaving. So hop on up here, m'kay? Adam, physically exhausted from his performance tonight, knows he does not have a choice. There is something about this town and this Shoppe that frightens him. Maybe it's because he's never seen anyone else here. No-one at the grocery store, no-one at the gas station, no-one at the school. He grows afraid. But thirst drives him to sip his lemonade. Ahhh. The room grows fuzzy. He strips off his leather pants and black t-shirt, ready for a slow, cozy night. MC, stretches her arms out - Come to Momma, baby.
