Does anyone know about this organization? There are so many scams out there geared toward high schoolers preparing for college that I just thought I would see if anyone on here had any info. Thanks!

My experience, and most of the people I've talked to agree, is that it is a scam in a sense. No, it doesn't rip you off (unless you order the stuff they offer), and it doesn't cost any money.However, I think they mail this out to pretty much anyone who has a good GPA or solid outside activities. I don't know how they get the names, but I know I was on their list with nothing other than SAT scores to distinguish myself. The guidance counselors I saw told me to not even put it on my transcript as an honor. It can't do any harm, but there is no reason to pay them anything.
