I'm conflicted. Do I continue to read the spoiler stuff just because I want to know what's going to happen and I'm not patient enough to wait for the show? I read it on RR Monday and the episode was a virtual word for word (except I don't recall Palmer saying millions would die - thought he said thousands). This spoiler stuff is more detailed than the Fox site summary after the episode. I think I'm gonna stay away for next week. So, the show wasn't quite as edgy this week for me as I knew everything that would happen. Maybe Kim's stock took a slight rise off the floor with her actually doing something useful - of course she did manage to get nabbed, but that was more the fault of daddy and those observing and she did manage to defend herself.
Off the thresd here - is it me, or does anyone wonder if all government female agents always dress with lowcut tops? Here we have Kim and Michele. On CSI there's always tight/low. I don't watch a lot of other stuff, but I assume it's the TV norm - do people in these positions actually dress this way irl? Will the public stop watching if these people dress more profesionally?
Ok, back to the show. I did enjoy Jack putting a little reality/fear into Saunders daughter near the end of this week. Of course, I think she's probably pretty much innocent of anything (urge to check spoiler....don't do it!). But, I don't think I'll feel bad no matter what he does because "millions of peoples lives are at stake".
As for loose threads - other than Jack dying/resurecting last season the three medical marvels this year more than rival past recoveries. The one that interests me the most is Jack - he's in the throes of withdrawel when I leave the country and when I get back there's nary a mention or indication of any problems. I asked back then what happened. I got no reply so I guess nothing happened - just a total spontaneous healing that somehow viewers aren't supposed to notice or question. But, since I still watch I suppose these little holes in the story aren't that important.
From what I've seen I don't think Jack will die because he's supposed to be in the movie in the fall (though that could be in a different time frame). Also, if/when 24 comes back I think they are going to change the time frame. I think the writing is just to constrained by this format though it's been a fun ride - I've enjoyed the format even with it's crazy impossible stuff at times. It's what made me watch the show in the first place so I give them credit.
