SunRain 1 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "American Cancer Society Spokesperson" 05-16-02, 12:44 PM (EST) "Prize Money" Hello! OK, I know the Amazing Race winners get $1 million, but what about 2nd to 10th place prize amounts? Also, has the dealine past to apply for Amazing Race 3? If so, does anyone know for sure or just think they will have an Amazing Race 4? Has anyone on this board ever applied or considered applying as a contestant? Your responses will be greatly appreciated!   Top

"RE: Prize Money" I know the Amazing Race winners get $1 million, but what about 2nd to 10th place prize amounts? 2nd through 10th place contestants would be paid the standard AFTRA rate for a "game show" as "principal performers" in a one hour production, which is $798.00 per show. Times that by the number of shows and you have the amount they take home, less taxes, etc. They also get paid for any personal appearances that they may make on behalf of publicizing the production.   Top

"RE: Prize Money" The Guidos in the www.televisionwithoutpity.com website are answering questions related to TAR. One of them said that they don't pay out much for the people who did not win. Although, for this season, don't forget the trips that some of the contestants won. For example, Tara and Wil probably won 3 trips.   Top

A friend and I applied for TAR3 - we didn't get our apps in until the 14th, so we're awaiting a call soon!!! wishful thinking   Top
