This is a hard week to rank because for the most part, everyone sucked. Blah.1. Blake "This is Where I Came In" (Shut up, Randy! He didn't beat box for like 4 weeks in a row, then he brings it back last week and rocked it out. Now you want him to stop again? Grrrrr.) 2. Jordin "To Love Somebody" 3. Melinda "Love You Inside and Out" (I hated this at first, but compared to everything else, it wasn't bad.) 4. Blake “You Should Be Dancing” (I don't know what it was, but I didn't really like this. Definitely his worst performance, but still better than most.) 5. Lakisha “Stayin Alive” (Like you said, Glow, I liked the way she alternated the "ahs" with the backup singers. I liked her arrangement, she just didn't pull it off. I'm putting her at #5 because at least it wasn't another yawnfest ballad.) 6. Melinda “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart” (I am so freaking bored with Melinda. I no longer consider her a favorite. I think what Paula was trying to say was "Stop being such a bore and do something interesting!!!!!!" I agree.) 7. Jordin “A Woman in Love” (Screechy. Over dramatic. Blah.) 8. Lakisha “Run To Me” (Even more boring than Melinda. I thought BeeGees week would be lively and fun! Boy, was I mistaken.)

>You know who would have killed >the Bee Gees right? I was SURE you were gonna say Sanjaya.
he certainly would have been the most entertaining, lol. I can almost see it in my mind's eye.

FTR, I agree with Corvis that was the worst show ever of AI...I don't like the genre either and obviously it didn't work...but Corvis watch out, he's Barry Fricking GIBB!! 1. Blake “This is Where I Came In” – I loved this song..and love Blake...I realized watching it last nite that if Blake goes tonite I would be hard pressed to do anything but DVR the rest of the shows and zip thru all the songs and hear what the judges, actually just Simon, have to say...
2. Blake “You Should Be Dancing” - this was not good Blake but I liked it better than anything else...I hate this genre and I'm so tired of the divas. 3. Lakisha “Run To Me” - this was good better than the rest, I liked the lyrics the best... 4. Melinda “Love You Inside and Out” – this was ok, but the judges were right, she needs to wow and it's just meh 5. Melinda “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart” - meh 6. Jordin “To Love Somebody”--meh meh 7. Jordin “A Woman in Love” – this was awful awful awful...she did not sing it well at all and it was totally inappropriate for a 17 year old and she looked so old like Simon said in that horrible dress. In the USA Today report, they said it was her first made to order dress...don't use that designer any more... 8. Lakisha “Stayin Alive” – why didn't she listen to Barry...He's Barry fricking Gibb...I was waiting for Jimmy Fallon to come onto the stage and scream at her for not taking his advice...yoiks that was bad. tribey is my American Idol!

well, you see I like the song and thought she did ok in th e beginning of the song...I FFed almost all of the songs last nite (watched it late in evening and tired) and did not hear the screech at the end. I thought Melinda's were just blah...I think she is a better singer of course but last nitht was meh for me for her.

I thought they pretty much all sucked.1. Jordin: A Woman in Love. I liked it. 2. Melinda: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart. 3. Jordin: To Love Somebody. 4. Melinda: Love You Inside and Out. I believe Latoya London did this in an earlier season, and Latoya's was way better. 5. Blake: This is Where I Came In. 6. Blake: You Should Be Dancing. I did not care for the bebopping. 7. Lakisha: Run to me. 8. Lakisha: Stayin Alive. The absolutely killed the Bee Gees. Killed them.
Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.

*head tilt* I didn't think Jon really minded. He sounded worried about what the fans would think is all.

well I can't rank them all, because I didn't tape it (since I already you from you fine, discriminating folks that the show was going to blow) and I frankly don't remeber much of anything. except I thought Blake's first one was quite fine, and the second one was disappointing. and melinda was flawless as usual, but not as stand-outish as usual, which I guess is what paula and simon tried to tell her. so. 1. Blake “You Should Be Dancing” 2. Melinda, just because. what did she sing again? 3. Jordin. what did she sing again? She actually was at top form, and maybe should be above Melinda, but I just can't do it. 4. what's-her-face. the talented diva who ignores the coaches. what did she sing again? Blakes' second one, that 2001 song, goes in the middle somewhere. I know, this was such a deep contribution to this discussion!

I'll throw my two cents in here:Jordin: To Love Somebody-best of the night-I think the judges agreed, too, didn't they?? Melinda: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart-WHY OH WHY was she so afraid to sing the words??? GEEZ ALREADY! If you're going to get voted off, whatever....I hated that, but the singing was ok. Blake: This is Just Where I Came In-one of my all time BG faves-hated the beatbox stuff, but he did good on the Robin stuff! Lakisha: Run To Me-not bad, at least not as bad as the other (bottom) 4 Jordin: Woman In Love-a little screetchy, but better than the other bottom 3 Melinda: Love You Inside And Out-eh Lakisha: Staying Alive-double eh Blake: You Should Be Dancing-go home already
