I had to do my part to get London ready for Kimmah's arrival, kind of like the advance team for a presidential visit. You think it's coincidence that Kim's going to be in the UK at the same time as the G8 summit? She runs the world, I tell you whut. So, I thought about bringing you all souvenirs, but decided against it. You'll get nothing and like it. But maybe Kim's nicer than me. What would you like for her bring back for you from London? So, did I miss anything?

Only one of The Real English Pubs I went to had cardboard coaster things. The others just had sticky tables and loud Madonna dance mixes, but, y'know, a couple of pints of bitter and you don't notice so much.

I quite enjoyed the mushy peas, actually. Like lumpy green mashed potatoes.

I was more disappointed when the first two times I got fish and chips they were accompanied by perfectly cooked, firm peas.

Our big trip is to the beach. The SHARK-infested beach. The expecting-two-or-more-tropical-storms-within-the-next-week beach. I think I'll take a book about London and think about being there while I'm being rained on and sharks are nipping at my legs.
