"Since when is "the pot calling the kettle black" considered to be a racist statement?"
Puh-leeze. I almost had to look around for something to throw up in when I heard that one... although the instant the words were out of Ereka's mouth I saw Omarosa gearing up to go with it.

That expression is as old as dirt. And saying it is a "racist" remark is about like saying I would be racist if I didn't like to buy black cars.

Hell I'm black and I even thought Omarosa was cheap to pull the race card. I hardly thing a woman of her experience has never heard that expression before. Quite tasteless IMO.

I just lost all respect for Omorosa after I heard that remark. She needs to remembered she is outnumbered and to keep her mouth shut.

I do think the others should have let her get her beauty sleep. It appears Omorosa needs about 23 1/2 hours a day.

That was outrageous. I couldn't believe she tried to make that statement into a racial slur. Then she said that thing about, "You obviously are threatened by a strong black woman."

No, this is about two woman who don't like each other, two women who clashed from the moment they first met. How is that racist?

Both Cooker and I were a little taken aback by this too. The race card is played so often anymore it will soon lose its power.

Was anyone else surprised when she acted offended by the add they came up with? Too sexual?
This was a woman who worked in the Clinton white house. How could anything be considered crossing the line after that?

It was so unbelievable!

Omarosa is so arrogant! I think she will grasp at anything that Ereka says and start an argument.

Maybe she's still mad they didn't accept her "Donald's Darlings" suggestion for a corporation name. With an idea like that, I'm surprised she was upset at last night's ad campaign.

Oh, Silvergirl, that was my exact reaction! This bimbo who came up with the most retro corporate name possible is offended by an ad campaign (admittedly unsubtle) that panders to powerful men's most fond self-delusions? And she worked with politicians? Cut me a break! This is a woman whose idea of proper business attire is a shirt cut down to her navel and a skirt that shows her a$$ and she's going to be offended? To quote Charlie Brown, aaaarrrrgggghhhh! I simply won't even address the racism issue except to say to Omarosa....right back at ya, girl!

7. "ditto!"
Omarsora is a bimbo.

I've actually had a heated, ugly debate with another person over that very phrase before. She was incensed over that one and the phrase "brown nosing". She is Indian and said it was racially insulting. She said that it didn't matter what the real meaning was because there was an implied meaning. I imagine she and Omahora would get along splendidly.

lol "brown nosing" has nothing to do with skin color or race. I think the term comes from from your nose turning brown from kissing someone's... well you know

Imaho believes that the rest of the women will fall back and genuflect when she pulls out the "race deck".

Does anyone else believe that the fix is in to a certain extent? Sam should have been axed, but The Trumpster and MB don't want to eliminate the "colorful" characters and kill the ratings.

Very good RollD! I think she was just looking for anything that she thought would make Erika look bad. Omarosa is loosing this battle, but I'm afraid that she could win the war if Trump is forced to choose between Omarosa and Erika. I suspect that dirty fighting is Omarosa's M.O. and she has been sucessful in the past with her tactics.

Not so much a chip as just being too "PRETENTIOUS".
After all, her name is Omarosa Manigaul-Stallworth. What's the deal with people with hyphenated names, anyway? How pretentious is that? Come on, pick a name already! Just can't make up her mind as to what to call herself. Sheeez.....

Yeah, that was a bit much and completely out of line. How it was said was not a racist remark. Omarosa seems extremely sensitive and/or she is using the racist argument to try to win herself some points (as if no one would be savvy to her game).

I hope the girls fail their competition next time so we can show one of those two firestarters the door. Childish squabbles have no place at the office, and who is to say they wouldn't try the same games at Trump Tower once accepted.

Omarosa seems to bring it on and by sucking the other girl in, they both end up looking like idiots. Always fun to watch and pick apart though.

I'm biracial, and I hate it when the racist card is played. For one, it's an easy excuse. And more importantly, it seriously undermines the offensiveness of true racial slurs.

LAST EDITED ON 01-20-04 AT 03:29 PM (EST)

I am flummoxed and incensed with Omarosa’s exploitation of the race card. Since when is, “That’s calling the kettle black” a racial slur? It demonstrates just how ignorant, arrogant, and overwrought Omarosa really is.

It’s okay to agree to disagree. With that said, when you have two “A” type personalities; such as, Ereka and Omarosa, it’s hard to share your ideas let alone communicate effectively with each other let alone the team. This in effect, affects the rest of the team. Professionalism! Ha. These two women demonstrated poor leadership skills in my opinion. They lacked the gift for ratiocination on national T.V. Ereka and Omarosa should be ashamed of themselves; albeit more so for Omarosa. If this is how Omarosa attempts to undermine the integrity of the game, I have two words for her: repugnant and distasteful.

The theory “to win at all costs” and/or “whatever it takes,” doesn’t include the race card. It may have worked in her favor in the past, but reality T.V. doesn’t work that way. Now we know what kind of woman Omarosa really is. She is a bigoted and discriminatory black woman whose only means of success is to use the race card when she’s under pressure and/or doesn’t get her way. I see right through you. I hope the rest of America does too.

Note to Ereka: Don’t let her get to you. Ignore her and be a better business woman. You’re sharp, aesthetically pleasing on the eyes (coming from a gay man), and you possess the tenacity to win.

After Omarosa’s misuse of the race card, “Would you want to hire her for your company?” I think not. She’s more of a liability and would use the race card on a plethora of reasons from not getting a raise to being demoted regardless of it being based on merit, education, experience, et al.

A very inappropriate reply from Omarosa has now isolated her even further from the rest of her team. She will surely be picked as the first one to go from her team if they don't win the next business challenge.
On the other hand, the conflict between her and Ereka makes for good reality tv ratings and MB may be counting on that to keep the show on top of the ratings. Maybe they won't fire Omarosa afterall, but MB may keep her around to add more fire and ice on the shows to come?

I agree Valley Girl! I think Omarosa will be around for a while just like Sam.

A few people have brought up the idea that Omarosa will have a difficult time finding a job after this. I think it depends on what type of job Omarosa wants. She may be trying to get into a job where "using the race card" is part of the job. In that case, she may have made points with her perspective employers.

I think Dumbasserosa is just trying to stir up things- try and break down the women as much as possible. She knows she can't win on her business abilities alone, so she's trying to make the other women lose focus, hoping if affects their performance. I honestly don't think she truly thought that comment was racist.

I thought they were very responsible while they were flirting with the Hard Rock customers and pushing the booze.

I bet Leona Helmsley and Martha Stewart wish they had shown more cleavage and sold more shots when they were starting out.
